I think we are agreeing here mate. If its tax mitigation , ie reducing the tax legally, then hmrc can't do anything. Tax avoidance they can act on. And then we both think the same thing ......Murray Int was responsible . It would then follow that selling rangers for a quid was done specifically to avoid a possible tax liability at MI. HMRC know there is no point in trying to get the cash from Rangers ...they'll just ignore us and go for MI. ( I hope ). If Lloyds Bank recommended the sale I'll bet you someone is shredding memo' s right now.
