  1. The Rangers Supporters Trust welcomes today’s decision by the First-Tier Tax Tribunal as a victory for common-sense and fairness. The decision blows any attempt to strip titles from the club by the SPL out of the water. We call on the SPL to drop these ill-conceived and vindictive proceedings immediately. Sadly the facts of the case have often been obscured by hysteria and pandering to prejudice by various parties, including governing bodies of football, who chose to take advantage of circumstances to pursue their own agendas. This whole process has come at considerable expense and questions must be asked at its conclusion as to whether it was in the public interest to commit large amounts of time, money and resources to a legal tax-planning scheme. The RST calls for a full and transparent public enquiry into the whole process with emphasis on the decision makers at HMRC and their motives and also a full criminal investigation into the steady flow of confidential information that made its way from HMRC into the media and onto faceless online blogs. The club spent roughly £250,000 a year on administering the EBT scheme to make sure it was legally and financially sound and that advice has proven to be correct. Rangers have suffered great damage as a result of the chain of events sparked by a “fishing-trip” by HMRC - their behaviour and that of several other parties - Lloyds Bank, the Murray Group, Duff & Phelps and the SPL - should now be examined by the relevant authorities.
  2. Personally I honestly expected closure when the result was announced. It seems that will never happen.
  3. Iain Davidson's on Newsnight at 11pm tonight to talk about us. not sure who's joining him.
  4. If we were to have been found guilty I would be feeling very angry. We've been cleared but I'm still angry. Bitter-sweet and leaves so many what ifs. Disgusted by what has happened even more now.

Must've been before my time mate. More than willing to help if you'd like to have any ideas or suggestions on how to improve the matchday experience for Bears. I'll forward on to someone who has the board's ear.
  6. Anyone heard of or know who they are: http://www.edinburgh-gazette.co.uk/issues/27174/supplements/114 Last company listed.

Appalling stuff to be honest. Correct me if I'm wrong guys but disabled supporters should be afforded the same rights as any other ST holder or shareholder within Ibrox. Example, their visit to Ibrox must be as comfortable as the rest. Can I ask why they don't get a vote? Please tell me my worst fears are untrue!

Yeah, that's an important point. Personally I have no faith in the Assembly's election process, who's effectively represented and what part of the decision making process considers them or how each group's represented at their meetings. One thing that bugs me is the lack of shelter the folk on wheel chairs have. The guys and gals always seem to be soaked when the rain comes on. Is that a fair observation?

What's the Disabled Supporters Association's thoughts on this? Like to think the Assembly is fighting their corner since they're under the Assembly umbrella.

Week after it's published and we only see it now. Strange. Cheers for posting though.
  11. I welcome this move although more info and what plans are being put in place for youth development so we don't need to rely on splashing out is needed.
  12. Spanish.......
  13. I spoke to the dudes on Saturday. Other than pushing the liquidation line they were spot on. Amazed at the journey NI bears make every other Saturday. Think we will be fine with them. They were covered in Rangers scarves, hats, programmes and the leaflets on Buy Rangers etc. Never intended on speaking with and I had a few pints in me by the time they came along. :-/
  14. Loads of answers in here guys: http://www.buyrangers.org/faq/ Click on the text and the answer will appear.
  15. Green's son.
  16. Both Puma and Adidas are bidding for it at present. Puma were winning last week.
  17. Yes. No doubt showing potential investors around.
  18. Longmuir's on the bottom left clasping his hands. The lad beside Green is his son Oliver.
  19. Don't change just yet. I'm over next week for the first time in four and the last time we scored a barrel load the week before I came over we drew 0-0 the following game. Fecking raging as I was meant to be over today.
  20. Yeah, social media officer and website guy. David's also responsible for the Rangers app.
  21. I think David Melvin and Rab Boyle done all the work, positive actually.
  22. In recent months the Rangers Supporters Trust has watched with interest whilst a one-time respected journalist from a low volume news program has waded into the events surrounding our club. Initially it was hoped that an external award winning journalist would bring an objectivity to the story which would assist those who seek the truth as to what has transpired at one of the world's most famous football clubs. Unfortunately that has not been the case. Since becoming involved, the journalist in question has on two separate occasions mocked the deaths of 66 Rangers fans in the Ibrox disaster. He has also wasted the time of Strathclyde Police with spurious complaints of threats, which originated from a parody Twitter account. In this time he has failed to add anything of substance to the Rangers story, apart from claiming exclusives which have been weeks, and in one case months behind his Scottish counterparts. If threats have indeed been made then we condemn them without reservation. It is unacceptable that innocent people should be made to feel vulnerable or have their families safety jeopardised in any way. Misguided individuals who think they are defending Rangers in this way need to realise that they are the stick used to beat the club and their fellow fans. What has become clear is that his involvement in Scottish Football is purely to antagonise and provoke. He has made some Münchausen style unsubstantiated allegations regarding Rangers fans, for which he now requires a reaction from our support to prove. The Rangers Supporters Trust would urge all supporters to be aware of his intentions and not give him the reaction he craves. We find it quite sad to watch a one-time highly respected, award winning journalist, systematically destroy his credibility. He has become a parody of himself and should be pitied rather than mocked as he seems to be enduring some kind of very public breakdown. The Rangers support has been nothing short of incredible in recent months and that will no doubt continue. http://www.rangerssupporterstrust.co.uk/item/respected-journalist-discrediting-his-own-reputation.html
  23. I'm having one of those days to be fair.
  24. Demand for the scheme as in what it generates in monetary terms. Jeez, drama queen:D
  25. There's no scheme board. Trust provides the vehicle and board colleagues along with members of the Trust are running it. That said, the funds etc are being administered by our lawyers. Makes life a whole lot easier. All will be revealed within 7-14 days!
