Back then the disparity in crowds wasn't so big either, dude.

That wouldn't resolve anything. Does anyone actually believe things will get better by sharing half of our gate money? Might be more competitive but that doesn't mean it will be a better product.

Sharing half of our gate money with our league opponents would drive me further from watching football in Scotland. Be it I only watch us, seeing diddy teams reap the rewards of our loyal and fanatical fanbase could easily be the last straw. My feelings are nothing to do with what happened during administration either. Perhaps if our peers (top league sides) could attract 20/30k crowds then I might give it a shot, but no other side other than the tims gets close. Something like this would be the ultimate 'victims of your success' story.

Define good performance? Asked this on FF and nobody could give me examples.

Was it advertised in every paper in the UK? Don't buy them so would never see myself but I'm surprised pics were never taken and whored about the 'net.

Hopefully one day you will correct me Zappa, but I don't see hostilities ever dying down happening. Not even sure truce is the right way. More folk need to start acting civil towards one another.

From memory Keith Jackson reported on him from the off. Most of us, including I, ignored it because of our deep mistrust of the media.

Spot on but the problem is RM mods have no balls, and indeed have no issue in flinging insults about. Hence you get the reaction on FF and the shit just goes on and on and on......... Your logic is actually quite good for comparing it to Twitter: Most folk are wakening up and controlling their own timelines. The folk who fling insults about are being ostracised by most bears from what I can see.

Toxic Jack isn't the problem. The problem is the people hiring him. Wee side note: You've got to wonder why two men with a less than favourable past require their very own PR man? Many expected the media to unearth all sorts of horror stories on the Easdales but as yet we have read nothing other than bears from Greenock passing on negative stuff. So perhaps Jack isn't too bad at his job? He's grabbed all the attention and doesn't give a fuck who says what about him.

You're correct mate. Abuse, childish insults are unacceptable but when grown men make a few Rangers fans too important to progress you have to laugh a little. After everything we've went through as a support it is beyond fixing IMO. I've always said we will get the club we deserve and if website owners or admins are considered more important then you know we are fucked.

Other than the comical stramash, which perversely I'm starting to enjoy, I haven't noticed anything illegal that would bring GN into disrepute? The whole infighting thing is epic cringe stuff but hilarious when you sit back and read whole threads. When you really think about it, has people made personalities bigger than the club? Mark and Chris get more forum time than any player or director. Throw in other writers and websites and I can't recall a proper sustained debate on players, tactics etc. football seems more like a sideshow or an inconvenience at the moment.

EGM - Proxy Voting for independent shareholders (content now applies to AGM)
Stimpy replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
Whenever we hold functions with club dignitaries or players attending the RST offers them honorary membership. Alway been the way since my time. If Bain or SDM had attended an AGM or dinner the the same would have been offered. Green wasn't given honorary membership because he was only just in the door with no achievements like all other honorary members have. More tongue and cheek on our behalf. That said, he was never part of the members database or given logins to the RST site. -
EGM - Proxy Voting for independent shareholders (content now applies to AGM)
Stimpy replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
best explained in here, Zappa: 2.1. How Shareholders Rights Will Be Exercised 2.1.1. The Chair must in the first instance act in the interests of the Rangers Supporters Trust’s community shareholders and in accordance with any views and opinions expressed by the community shareholders and its democratically elected board 2.1.2. The community shareholders, in expressing their views and opinions, should take into account the wishes of the wider support including; 2.1.2.1. Members of the Rangers Supporters Trust who are not community shareholders 2.1.2.2. Members of the Rangers Supporters Trust who are not community shareholders who proxy their rights to the Rangers Supporters Trust 2.1.2.3. Non-members of the Rangers Supporters Trust who proxy their rights to the Rangers Supporters Trust http://www.therst.co.uk/proxy-voting/ -
Yeah, I know that mate. Perhaps I'm reading the current board wrong but I think they'd be better served with an EGM. If successful then they can move onto the AGM with all of this behind them for now. Personally I think they're bottling out.

Yeah, but the whole board could be wiped out at the AGM. Three of the five board members are up for the chop under the EGM, and under the resolution only those three can be voted out. But at the AGM, McColl could wipe out the main three, install his two candidates and then go further and vote Harte and Easdale out? That's my understanding from attending such meetings but those were never at this corporate level.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but an AGM can do more damage than the current resolution on the table can?

Yesterday's board meeting (CG 'stands down' and wants to sell shares)
Stimpy replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat

Good article Frankie. I think it's fair to say that many journos love a good old Rangers bashing piece, each for their own reasons: Celtic fans, non-Rangers fans or generally misinformed. Often the articles have been heavily tilted towards biased and on occasion prejudice. However, the club has to stop giving MSM the chance to sink the boot in. The actions of past and present incumbents have given the media plenty to write about. That said the approach and style of writing is utterly appalling at times. TBH, I fancy it'll be another few years before it calms down whilst boardroom battles ensue and investors looking to maximize their buck hang around.

EGM - Proxy Voting for independent shareholders (content now applies to AGM)
Stimpy replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
Trust presents honorary membership to ex players or reps at their main functions all the time. Green was no different except he hadn't done enough to get an honorary membership. The debate by the board was interesting;) It's not like we gave him forum log ins or expensive gifts. Too many making an issue out of this just because it suits. Another sad indictment of the online support.
