Fund Objectives and Questions for River & Mercantile
Stimpy replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
What is their expected ROI and where do they see that coming from? In any eventual sale would R&M consider giving supporters first refusal on their holdings? What's R&M' position on a convicted VAT fraudster sitting on the 'Football Board' and having considerable influence within the Club?- 56 replies

If you're a director and not a fan of the manager, then this a very effective way of undermining him. Trying to sack his management team early last year backfired, now is it possible they'll do it via selling off assets under the guise of cash flow issues?

Could be BS' shares who alledegly sold his before being sacked or Richard Huges' penny shares? -
Keith Jackson: Is Dave King ready and able to ride to the rescue of Rangers
Stimpy replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Said the same soon as we got the million pound quote from BS. It wouldn't surprise me if we've all but run out of money and only the fumes of match day tickets and a dodgy credit facility reported in the accounts is keeping the club alive.- 14 replies

Meet the Fockers?

340 Porto youth players - wow! Some conveyer belt and they do produce some decent talent. No hiding the fact our youth set up needs refreshed and an actual scouting network implemented. When you look at all areas of the club there are boundless opportunities for the right people to take advantage of and make a big name for themselves.

You should ask the Gers Twitter accounts with large following to tweet for you. Maybe Frankie can get the ball rolling.

Similar to what I'm thinking. Also, only last week I was told BS had emails which strongly hinted that Ally was avoiding taking a pay cut. Now we have this.

I'd take a hunch and say he had a pretty big say in the decisions relating to large salaries.
-
Finance director is. Some new faces since then but they're cut from the same cloth.
-
If true, are the board, you know the people who authorised the salaries, taking a 15% pay cut?

Mentions Dickson and Oliverman needs guidance.....err, what about Stockbridge? Can we guide him out the door?

Cheers. Out of interest I'd like to see the questionnaire.

Maybe, but I always felt Gazza wasn't as daft as made out. He was Jack the lad with an extremely addictive personality, not necessarily daft, if that makes sense?

Not sure now accurate this is or if clubs look into it; but I'd heard rangers look at intelligence as well as talent. Reason being if the player can't be taught then he has little future. Apparently the reason he was miles ahead of his age group in the unders but stalled when playing at higher level as he is unable to use any of the skills coached to him that furthers his game.

If it was to be investigated by the board then the most likely conclusion would be not guilty IMO. I've seen the evidence and why an individual thinks Mark hacked in. It is not convincing and the allegation of where he obtained the password is impossible. So that leaves hiring an expert: the RST is in rude health financially and I wouldn't want my fee wasted when 1. MD is involving the police, 2. I'd expect the board to be exploring marketing and CIC opportunity which is where members' money needs invested in. Let the authorities deal with it, and let the RST move forward with the concerned parties no longer involved.

1. Investigate what? It's over and down to two individuals and the coppers. Sweet fuck all to do with RST, so hard lines! 2. Leaks? Board know were the leaks were and the individuals concerned walked away in shame. They have to live with themselves. 3. Stop being a daft conspiracy theorist. And if you're a member then PM me your membership number or to plg. Something tells me you're full of shite.

Agree. I dare say they know it too. What it does tell us is how much respect they have for Mark and Chris' sizeable audience and influence.

Mark Dingwall and Chris Graham have both been discussed inside as Ibrox as bears needing banned, apparently. Think Leggo is also on the list.

RTC I think, mate. They hurt his ego. Don't think CF can inflict damage on SDM like the tax blog did.

What Murray? I know before CF appeared he was emailing PM looking for quotes based on the leaked info. PM fired them straight across to BDO and has avoided CF stuff.

The poor grammar or possible dyslexia is a red herring. Content, although a few months old now, is an issue. We are being run by cretins.

What's the auto save thing that pops up and how do you use it? Just wrote out a whole post and hit cancel by mistake. Fucking beeling. I'll try again: Out with the article, the thread title is spot on for me. Life in the lower leagues is driving me mad. There's nothing inspiring about this 'journey' in anyway whatsoever. Versus Dundee Hibs, the sheep or Hivs there was genuine rivalry, if not for football, for us. Going to their grounds and sashing it up gave us some motivation. Our opponents now welcome our vast support and blue pound but there's nothing else there, expect they might get a draw or even a win depending how poor we play. But really we are passers by like a on a road trip to some far off place. Note: it feels far off! We used to lambast top league opponents for a variety reasons. Most of the time our criticisms were justified but their hatred of us helped push us on. When they visited Ibrox we could stand over them with our chests puffed out chanting we are the people in a way only we can: this Is Ibrox, our home, and we are the people, was the feeling I got. Nowadays our opponents are just tourists getting a glimpse of an international renowned stadium. Some are genuine footy fans, some of them will be part time bears out with mates to Glasgow, and some will be deranged tims dreaming of a result. Give me a 1-0 win at Pittodrie tomorrow afternoon instead of expecting to gub Stenny 6-0 with little to show for it. Who'd prefer to walk away from the sheep pen with a win, and some serious verbals towards the sheep than dross most likely served up tomorrow? Let's face it, only a high scoring win will satisfy us tomorrow. A 1-0 win v the sheep or Dundee Hibs would motivate us more. Dunfermline gave us all that wee buzz, or at least a glimpse, again as we faced familiar opponents, did it not? I know the 'we're only here to see the Rangers' line will be played out. That's why I follow my team, but football and rivalry go hand in hand. No cunt can deny that. I love rivalry and cannot wait for that 55th title, that first victory against all our old foes, that moment on enemy territory where I wave my scarf and chant we are the people. All of that will motivate me further than any 8-0 win v Airdrie ever can. Watching the scum flood out of Ibrox as I bounce around with bears might be up there with the great victories of the past. Our dominance will return but right now the lower leagues offer nothing but boredom. I struggle to remember scorelines, scorers, who we played and who we are playing next. Fling in a spiv board and the fight continues on two fronts.
