Very true - and I understand Dorrans has an agreement with Strachan that he doesn't get called up unless he is going to start. (Family reasons) Maybe he can rediscover his best form here.

Dorrans can't get a game for Scotland. He is being kept out by the likes of Brown and Armstrong. £1.5m seems like a lot of money for this type of player. I really hope he comes here and shines mind you.

The windows themselves were not let downs - I was pretty happy with Rossiter, Barton and Kranjcar. It was the season that caused the disappointments

Jeez.... what can I say to a post like this. £1.8m is nothing in England, when a club like Bournemouth are paying £130k a week to Defoe. Why should we sell a player for £1.3m less than we bought him - just because he has not had the best of seasons?

£1.8m gets you squat in England. I would argue that £1.8m is fair price for a player of his calibre. Ipswich are just chancing their arm.

We will never sell for £500k - why has his value dropped £1.3m in the space of 9 months or so? Ipswich could easily pay the money we bought him for.

But Tav is good enough until October - then Patterson can come in and challenge.

I can't help but think he was throwing down the gauntlet to the players and they failed dramatically.

Caixinha is an unknown and the media hate it... they would rather we had a run of the mill manager like Tonmy Wright or Derek McInnes who they know would never over come the mighty Brendan.

He kind of reminds me of Dick Advocaat - in the fact that he is confident in his own ability. When Advocaat won Manager of the year - his speech was "see you again next year". Imagine if Advocaat came in midway through the doomed 10 in a row season... before he had a chance to buy his own team. People would have turned on him the same way.
