I'm surprised, I thought he was resting up by not playing for us.

I don't see any point in looking at it that way pete. Novo was offered a contract extension and chose not to take it for his own reasons. There's no point in being all doom 'n gloom about it. At the end of the day, it was his own decision. We've lost a Rangers loving player that would have been nice to hold on to, but it's not the end of the world.
Yeah, we were offering a year and I think he wanted 2 and he got it with Gijon.

All the best to the wee man. Shame we couldn't offer what he wanted, we will miss you and your goals against them.

I desperately hope there's some Rangers people of substance behind Ellis, otherwise I'd really fear for us. Who'd have imagined thirty years ago that Rangers could ever be in this situation.
So do I, if he doesn't I would like him to keep some board members on that know they club.

Sums up the Scottish (British?) mentality that a player would choose to stay at Greenock Morton rather than join the champions of Romania and play in the Champions League. Brazilians, to use one example, can be found in virtually every league of the world, from Northern Ireland to Uzbekistan.
Apart from Scotland
Romania would be a shitty place to stay though...Tax haven maybe?

Probably a better winger than Lafferty :fish:

.
Peter Lovenkrands (striker) - 29 games, 13 goals, 2 assists.
Charlie Adam (midfielder) - 45 games, 17 goals, 8 assists.
Not sure what point I'm making. I just like looking at stats. :fish:
Yeah, Adam played 15+ more games that L¸venkrands
.
I have always liked L¸venkrands but he is quite inconsistent and injury prone with us and probably played out on the wing too often. Should have signed him up when he was free and willing to take a pay cut
.
Not everyone will agree but so be it.

Yes it is a poor league but I still dont like outsiders calling it a joke when the OF have both reached euro finals in the last 7 years. The only reason other leagues are superior now is down to SKY's money. Before that then 4 or 5 Scottish teams were able to compete with any English side.
I do hate the arrogance of some people about our league with the population of our country getting to a Euro final is a fantastic achievement, but we still get criticised . I also agree with you on the Sky money, English clubs have been spreading it about Europe (for a few years now) and Standard Liege are getting fees of £15m from Everton for Fellaini. Where as the English leagues sort of see us a feeder league and won't pay huge sums of money. I know we got some good money for Cuellar and Hutton but if they were anywhere else they probably would have went for double that.

Was that them? That's a laugh. Who's going to pay to read that shite?
Its not happening yet, but seeing as Newscorp (?) own them along with the times then it might happen shortly, but the times will be first.

It's not so much that Zappa but nothing we say or do will have any effect on people like that bastard McGillivan. They don't really give a damn how we react or feel about their articles. They're driven by a hatred that only feeds on itself
The even worse thing is he is getting paid for his hatred, its really annoying.

Oh aren't the NOTW going to start charging us for "the privilege" to use their "fantastic website"?

What is the max age limit for a player to be classed as "young"?
I would say 21 but in England the likes of Milner and Rooney were up for their respective YPOTY awards. I think with them if they are 23 and under at the start of their season then they are eligible.

I hold my hands up and admit I laughed when Motherwell lost last year - was it to Llanelli or someone? Some mickey Mouse Welsh team. I usually do want the other Scottish teams to do well, but the Tims are the exception I'm afraid. I despise Man U too and always say there has only ever been one time that I have wanted them to win - yip you guessed it at the Bheggardome
What about Old Trafford?

I have read that article briefly by Vanguard Bears and there is an agenda by the guy who writes this. NOTW seem to mask his name so that they don't cause controversy. He generally makes stuff up and uses words that aren't conclusive because nobody from our club will speak to him. He is a fantasist and he need to get a grip, social journalist, please.
btw I'm not a member of VB but I do agree with what they say here.

Personally want them to lose every European match.
Other Scottish teams the better they do its all good. I do laugh if the other Scottish teams get a humping though like Aberdeen.

Fenerbahce burnt their stadium after not winning the title. Wouldn't like to go there in a hurry.
Although Fenerbahce's announcer didn't help saying Buraspor were drawing.

I did mine earlier today.

Not exactly what we are after currently. We seem to be going after a fair number of English youth players any reason why?

Now that the source has been tracked down to a manky soapdodger... http://www.celticquicknews.co.uk/2010/05/celtic-40-motherwell-spl-1-may.php#comment-595422... surely the club can boot his and his mhank editor's baws up and doon Union street...
Hardly a surprise, just using different "reporters" to cover their backs by using this guy.

Remember Bobby Russell he was a late blossom that came good. It can happen.
A bit before my time
Anyway he is young so I have no problems he has a chance to prove himself.

Not great teams there but there is time I suppose.

Good News! The new manager will be taking charge of them as the newly qualified unseeded champions league team.

An extra few hundred thousand pounds for us then, maybe?
