I think he is an alright player, not totally special however and when I saw him he did have a very suspicious dirty streak.
This a prime example

Meh, Disappointed not to win the world cup tournament. Out in the quarter's to the eventual finalists (France), their keeper was on fire. Some awful draw procedures went on as well as we played France in the group,we lost again the awesome keeper.
England won the thing they had some junior footballers in their team.
Anyway no news?

British based team and players hideously overvalue their players nowadays. Mr Thompson compared Lafferty and Goodwillie and said they would be equal value. Scottish teams now think they are at a standard of the Championship and value their players accordingly even though they have almost crippling debts.
Look abroad, please, no way would we spend more than half our supposed budget on 1 player considering we need at least another 4 players.

USA for me too. Don't expect much from them as I don't know many of their players - I have a feeling they might make it out of the group though.
You should know 2
Also if you watch some EPL/Championship there will be a few others.
Did a sweepstake on another forum and I got Mexico.

Going to play a world cup tournament shortly, I expect nothing to change over the next few hours.
Mon the Ghana as that is my team

I thought this was going to be a score predictor rather than a winner from each match. Oh well, joker on away matches

No chance will Dundee United accept a derisory bid of £750,000
I would hardly call it derisory considering the crap finances we have up here. That term seems to be used a lot against us when bidding, I don't like the word either.

With their cock of a chairman it would take £2m so no thank you.

It's gone from rumour to scaremongering to stramash and back again. No idea what to believe any more.
Believe nothing until something is being reported on the club website. I think that is what I'm going to do. I will look at paper websites and laugh at their exclusives and taking things out of context its all I can do.

I see the Daily record says its near collapse in their huge exclusive in about a column inch, if that.
Can't wait until the world cup starts.

Another step in the right direction surely, an encouraging sign? If nothing was progressing, then why would this announcement be made? Sure, we don't know any more than we did yesterday, but does this not at least give us hope?
On the other hand....
I'm as sceptical as the hippo, unsure what they will bring to the table and unsure about being arab backed...

It was never announced that he'd signed a new contract at all last summer. He just turned up for pre season and the club expected that we wouldn't notice. Then of course it turned out that was initially on a gentlemans agreement and not a contract
Yeah, I didn't see anywhere that stated Weir has signed on for another year he must have been usually clubs announce these sort of things.

Perhaps Walter has also identified wide players as targets - Petrov would appear to be one and who knows with more than 11 weeks left of the transfer window we might get a winger or two. Petrov would certainly be an excellent signing but I can't see us playing 442 next season with two wingers and having lost Boyd and Novo we really do need to sign a striker as Velicka and Lafferty are not the answer.
I'm with you there, not sure about Petrov, a lower pre team might pick him up or he will move back to Spain. I definitely see us reverting back to a 4-5-1 but this still means we need some width which we do not have. I'd give Lafferty, Velicka and Naismith a chance but still feel they need competition especially if they play poorly during the first few games of the season.

This lad seems to be able to finish but also has a bit of pace about him. Didn't catch all the video but did he manage any goals with his head - cause at 6ft + I'd be expecting an aerial threat. Hopefully more in the Cousin mould than the Darcheville!
On the video he does seem able to finish. Although stats on a disputed source (
) shows he doesn't have a great goal scoring record. France will be tougher than the SPL, so hard to judge.

We don't need another striker in the 'style of Darcheville'
I personally hated it when Walter kept trying to pair Darcheville and Miller up front. A partnership doesn't work if both of them do most of their work outside the box
That was my personal opinion as well, 2 strikers of the same nature don't work unless they are world class. I got really annoyed when Walter did the same with Cousin and Velicka or Boyd iirc, it was friendlies but I knew it wouldn't work. I think he played Darcheville and Miller together against Kaunas and that annoyed me.
I still think wingers are the option at the moment, but I can't see it happening. Seem to be repeating myself a lot with that statement

Aye, I should be excited over this, but I'm not
Same, not sure about the backers if true.

Meh, 30 year old striker, personally not sure.

Saw a few Spartak kits in sports world. I like to buy foreign kits before people ask quite random ones as well , although I only have one at the moment
. However if that pleb joins them then that will be the end of that.

Arsenal need defenders as well.

Goncalves is a strange one for me, reasonable player, however wasn't he wanting £10k a week at Hearts to stay? What would he want here?
I feel the full back are a little more priority than centre backs seeing as we have 3 under contract and probably 4 when Weir signs on.

Confidence is one thing, believing in miracles is completely different.
No, No, I've looked into the stars and know I'll win :box:

Craig Burley rambling on was worse and probably in the least interesting game of the world cup. At least McCarthy kept it reasonably short.
