Clubs, especially nowadays, with mega rich owners could just buy a player from their competitor and not play him. What is the point in that? I preferred the old system as there is too many panic buys going about and people rushing about and mostly late deals flop. We have been lucky with Steven Davis and Steven Naismith. We used to do it as well when we had the money.

I thought the company that made the Jumbotrons went bust and can't be fixed. I would mind screen but not them just too big.

Tbh Villa Boas has done a good job at Porto. He has turned a side that ended up 3rd last season and about 10 points behind Benfica to winning the league by 20 points, plus the Europa League doubt they can hang onto a lot of their players e.g. Hulk and Falcao. Pep suppose he has done well even though even has some of the worlds most talented players in a lot of positions. I also thought Jurgen Klopp did well at Dortmund winning the league and such. I am surprised he even got mentioned but there are many reason and in some ways its slight recognition. I would have put Walter at number 1 biased hat on!

Its probably there to curtail big clubs buying a player that did well against them to make them less strong.

Too much baggage and plus he slowed up play too many times. He was pretty average did ok in some games but just wasn't really up to it at the end still got some medal so its not all bad on his side.

Don't want to change a winning formula. It would be nice if Bougherra signed a contract and then if he wanted to leave we get a better price (same as Goodwillie) but I doubt Bougherra will do that.

Apparently someone asked and its the 9th of June when the window opens. Not that it matters with bosman transfers as the player can only be registered when his contract is up usually start of July.

I know he is held in high regard by all of the playing staff as well as the coaching staff, but please Davie do they right thing and retire. It could taint your whole career here if you stay for another year and have a bad year and found out for lacking of pace.

According to the Express we have dropped interest in Diouf. Good news imo I think he will go to West Ham seeing as Allardyce is there now.

It also seems like Miller wants a buddy, so they go "oh we will goto that club we played against they seems like soft touches". Not a chance they can get lost.

The Brazilian guy looks like a no nonsense defender, most youtube videos make a player look good though. If we could get Granqvist it would be very good and he is also my preferred option. -
I heard about Boumsong a lot especially with Liverpool, him and Mexes at Auxerre. I remember Cuellar scoring against Leverkusen in the UEFA Cup after Osasuna beat us. I think one our scouts was at the match. Arteta maybe played against us when he was at PSG. Bougherra was a surprise cause I thought he was certain for West Brom.

Who? Just reading it now from a Spanish second division side that I have never heard of either. He will join Wigan as Martinez is there. Doesn't really interest me, maybe just getting linked for the sake of it. However another striker and another free transfer....

I wish we would start banning people. Alex Ferguson the other week did it because of player issues being questioned and he was caught saying he is banned. -

You can sign players at any time they just can't play. What a stupid window when our season now starts on the 23rd of July. Scottish football at its ineptness.

Not exactly a great lot there, a lot of them over 30 and over half would be on �£40k a week plus.

McManus I would not be happy like Frankie. Kyrgiakos I'm not all that keen on either. -
Sven is being rather optimistic both on price and Bougherra ambitions. I doubt very much Bougherra will goto the Championship and for �£1m they can get lost.

Easily Steven Naismith had a very good season and would be my second choice. If Nikica Jelavic wasn't robbed of a whole season then there could have been a different story.

Yes Anyway Bosmans way to set the future Mr Whyte... There are some decent bosmans but still where is the �£5m/�£10m that was talked about? Smoke and mirrors again.

3 players in would make me feel sick. ANyway, I would want a versatile defender that can play across the back. Pacey Winger and a Striker that can complement Jelavic. -
But Zappa he did go back to Sheffield Utd after his first loan spell. He also got out at the correct time, 3 different managers in a season isn't exactly great. Not sure if he saw all 3 managers during his time there this season.
