  1. I don't want to be paying £4m for him.
  2. Yeah I wasn't saying Edu was Lovenkrands but comparing Edu to McCulloch on pace is one thing that Edu has going for him. Although you don't see him use it much as he has already been bypassed. Yep both are passengers and that is an integral part of the park.
  3. Edu isn't too slow he is just like a rabbit in the headlights and doesn't know what to do. McCulloch is just slow.

    Every Season

UK coaching if your big and strong then you are a good footballer forget ball control. If you are small you aren't going to make the grade and some of the best players in the world are small and have all the technical ability and a fair few of them play for Barcelona. I read that Modric was rejected by Copenhagen for being too small so Scandinavia is similar but Malmo looked assured in possession. We seem to let a team come out and attack and not stamp our authority on a game like we used to which is very worrying even the SPL.
  5. @Berliner... Yep but in a weeks time we could be out the CL. We should be beating that Swedish team even if it is a bigger country than ours, especially losing at home. If we were away then I wouldn't have been so annoyed. McGregor also keep the score down tonight, mid season or not we should be fit enough and not be so respectful of the opposition. Where were the subs? Freshen things up if we are playing against a mid season team then? No trust in our strikers bar Lafferty who is injured.
  6. So as I said earlier in the thread a Walter mark 2, no subs, has favourite, team selections far to respectful especially for a mid table Swedish team, woeful long balls. I hope he isn't and finds out himself that players are droppable. Whittaker is one that might be more difficult to drop after Ally pursued him a lot to get him to re-sign.
  7. I agree I hope to hell something is sorted.
  8. 2 home games no wins, not exactly what is needed. Very annoyed not much more I can say before I totally mad and on a long rant.
  9. Subs? Walter mark 2.
  10. Another first half shocker. Can't really sum up how annoyed I am.
  11. It would add depth, Wylde can be a tricky player and could be good coming on late and might play now and again and of course it means better competition which is a good thing. I think a transfer that isn't exactly brilliant is Murray Davidson, both Ness and Hutton are quite capable, Fleck has been very suspect probably needs game time elsewhere to see if he can hold down a spot and prove himself. I would also say the same for Hutton. Ness if he gets over his injuries is probably the best of the 3 and I would keep. I think Murray Davidson isn't exactly an improvement and puts our youth players further down the pecking order, which isn't great especially when we have Edu, McCulloch, Davis and possibly Bedoya. Wylde will get chances I think but it would be good as his final ball is lacking at times and he might learn from other wingers also helps us shifting Davis out on the right side.
  12. Player could say no, that wouldn't go down well though.
  13. Burnley are not exactly an attractive club, especially for Weiss. I hope for their sake they don't go there, they deserve better would have both of them back if we could manage it.
  14. Testing the waters with the bid, but it would be good if we got him.
  15. No but I find that terminology similar, we didn't meet the selling clubs price and therefore failed but I am just using their words. Would it have been better if I used rejected bid? I might have not put my post together as brilliantly but we have failed in a bid. Have I ever said we should pay the asking price? No, I think I said we should try and put clauses in to try and put the price closer to what Dundee Utd want. No I don't work for the BBC.
  16. I know we are negotiating but surely from what I have heard we have offered practically the same when he had the case over his head. Oh and on Conway we dodged a bullet, might be an ok SPL player but never ever worth £15k a week and I congratulate the board/management on that.
  17. 2 papers running we have failed, if the bids are true we haven't upped our offer seems odd.
  18. To me says it all if the SFA or whoever are settling out of court.
  19. No, they lost 3 strikers this summer, Bothroyd, Chopra and Bellamy (although Bellamy can play on the wing). They have replaced 2 with Earnshaw and Miller so I can still see Malkay Mackay sniffing about like he has been doing all summer especially with a few of our targets anyway.
  20. Good that problem isn't there but I don't think we are willing to meet Dundee Utd's valuation and therefore he may end up at Cardiff.
  21. For me we need new players in defence, midfield and upfront. Goalkeeping is perfect currently. Personally: we need at least 2 central defenders and one utility defender (Sell or loan Broadfoot). We need a player who can create things and can take set pieces (not Eremenko), plus a winger We need at least one striker (Get rid of Beattie) So in all I think we need at least 5 players will we get another 4 in? Goian is possible but we have over a month so I will wait and see.
  22. Jonny Evans is a total bomb scare would not want him even if he is from Man Utd, can be easily turned by any forward.
  23. He is a tall 6ft 5 inches centre back but not very mobile so a combination of him and Weir/Broadfoot would not exactly be fast. Also I think I said his permit would take a few days as the permit committee have to form and that could take a while to get them organised.
  24. Personally we already have enough of a "backup" in the front line. Although are the backup players trusted enough? Saturday showed I have my doubts. We need someone who is going to at least challenge Lafferty/Naismith up top I doubt we could find the quality of Jelavic for a good price.
