They probably know it won't be filled very often, but are hoping for some Scotland game to be played there and open up a brand new spanking stadium as community sports centre. Maybe Scotland will co-host the Euro championships of the future and they're thinking along those lines.

 

Other than that, I've no idea why they're building a bigger stadium with falling crowds.

Tbh I think nowadays all Euro stadiums have to be 30,000 and over. Plus the fact Scotland have no chance to get the competition our best chance was Euro 2008.

Opposite to the world cup, best placed 2nd team in the group gets to qualify rather than playoff (Sweden currently) and then the other 8 playoff. In the world cup the worst points scoring side in 2nd place were discarded which was Norway iirc and the other 8 playoff. There were 13 European places for the world cup and there is 14 places for the Euro's.

Minimal contact should make no difference. If it did Naismith would have got off too as there was minimal contact there.

 

I would contend that there was a higher level of intent on the part of Stack than there was on Naismith. Naismith could at least argue that he was using his arm for balance whilst going up for the ball (not saying it is a GOOD defence, but one he could have used). Stack has absolutely NO defence for his actions.

I was in favour of giving him a chance pre-season and European form had me worried and well cup form in general has been very disappointing. Maybe the fact he wasn't completely back in the transfer market another factor. However he has done very well in the league since an open day slip up and has shown he does have the ability to manage and hopefully he keeps it up and the same goes for the players and hopefully Jelavic starts picking up form again, him and Naismith and Lafferty can score bucket loads if they are in the mood.

Will it be highlighted though? I doubt there would be many camera's round the stadium, not much mention of the incident apart from here. It would be brushed over but if I do get to see the incident in highlights, which I doubt then it will be brushed over and then there won't be any consistency, which Ally has called for.
