  1. Saw Beattie got sent off last weekend, great player . I was never for his signing and was proved correct, injury prone etc.

If Healy is on £15k-£20k a week I will feel very mad, why bother when somebody young and more capable player could have been used with that wage. I know Beattie would have been on a high wage at Stoke so we would have picked up a fair whack of that.

  2. Was Davie's pay as you play? Same question for Healy?

£2k for Jaager? He is wanting £3.5k and we pushed the boat out with Celik.

Still peeved at the lack of strikers being looked at bar the Nigerian lad who had 1 day and the Muslimovic who seems a bit up himself.

  3. 28 year old who hadn't ever played outside Australia - a poor poor league and he'd not made the step up so many of his countrymen have well before 28.

So what's your theory on why he's not getting gametime? Do you believe he's good enough?

    Wrong McKay played in Korea....

Getting Aussie player of the year as well, when there is better Aussies playing currently. So something has gone wrong and I agree with an earlier post that he hasn't been treated brilliantly, neither has the other 2 but Ally signed them so he has to deal with the consequences. Unless Gordon Smith signed them....

EDIT: Its also abundantly clear that Ally is wanting to play hoof ball which is awful, Davies this big Nigerian, Muslimovic etc. Also didn't he say something about long ball stuff when Fleck came on? That made me cringe.

  4. Why would we send the "impressive" Estonian away and look at a South African instead. Will he cost 500 pound less in wages per week? Then again, the press will turn it in a way that make us look like loosers anyways, so what do we expect?

I said in another thread about trialist match reports and general trialist opinion from management. Saying he (meaning any player) was impressive and such like but isn't for us as it would bite them in the arse and to me it seems like they are actually doing it. :(

  5. West Ham already have Sam Baldock, Carlton Cole, John Carew, Freddie Sears, Frank Nouble and Frederic Piquionne with Kevin Nolan also playing up front occasionally.

Would they sacrifice 1 of those listed in exchange + cash for Jelavic?

I reckon Carew, Nouble and Piquionne would all be allowed to leave but I'm not so sure I'd be interested in any of them. However, Sam Baldock would be a different matter.

I would want none of the West Ham players if I'm honest. I heard Piquionne was supposed to be part of the deal but no thanks.

  6. I don't really get your point guys. He would be going home to pick up some clothes and belongings if he signed anyway, so it's no big deal that he's gone home now. If we're going to make him an offer it can be done and accepted over the phone, then he just comes over with all his gear and signs the contract.

Also the medical, but when did we offer him a contract though? This is the intriguing point, was it Friday? Was it today? So many conflicting reports, I actually hope we get him seems quite thought of, so that means it won't happen, when I want somebody :D.

  7. I've put this in Rangers chat here because there's quite a number of people that would like to see Boyd back at Ibrox and well... we really do need a good poaching goal scorer.

Don't blame him for not wanting to move to Houston. Not a very nice city and the heat + humidity is almost unbearable.

Yeah he struggled in the Scottish Cup so would not be for him. He would get used to it but I don't think he would fully adapt to it.

  8. As I've posted elsewhere, he really didn't do very well for Rapid Wien - 25 in 70 in a very weak league. And only has 2 in 17 for Croatia.

He was great for us last season, and his goal in Malmo was stunning, but I think we (myself included) may have bought into a myth that he's better than he actually is.

Or is has he just improved since leaving Austria? Who knows. Maybe I'm doing him a disservice.

Jelavic doesn't play up top more out wide apparently in Croatia. Plus he still isn't that old and goalscoring isn't really his game.

I'd say he has improved his goalscoring since leaving Austria or his final season there actually.

  9. Not a great game, Milan derbies are usually a lot better than that. Milan were terrible, and had zero incision in the final third. Pato was reekin' pish and he'd have joined PSG if it wasn't for the fact Silvio Berlusconi's (incredibly hot) daughter is pregnant with his baby (allegedly). They're most certainly an item.

    Kinda gets in the way.

So money isn't what interests him? Or is it he doesn't want to upsticks when she is pregnant.
