Saw Beattie got sent off last weekend, great player . I was never for his signing and was proved correct, injury prone etc.

If Healy is on £15k-£20k a week I will feel very mad, why bother when somebody young and more capable player could have been used with that wage. I know Beattie would have been on a high wage at Stoke so we would have picked up a fair whack of that.

Nervy 1 goal win whether its 1-0, 2-1 etc.

Was Davie's pay as you play? Same question for Healy?

Getting Aussie player of the year as well, when there is better Aussies playing currently. So something has gone wrong and I agree with an earlier post that he hasn't been treated brilliantly, neither has the other 2 but Ally signed them so he has to deal with the consequences. Unless Gordon Smith signed them....

EDIT: Its also abundantly clear that Ally is wanting to play hoof ball which is awful, Davies this big Nigerian, Muslimovic etc. Also didn't he say something about long ball stuff when Fleck came on? That made me cringe.

In the summer it would have been £10m for me but currently £8m and I would say deal. At least we are digging in for once, we never used which is pleasing in some aspects.

Why would we send the "impressive" Estonian away and look at a South African instead. Will he cost 500 pound less in wages per week? Then again, the press will turn it in a way that make us look like loosers anyways, so what do we expect?

I said in another thread about trialist match reports and general trialist opinion from management. Saying he (meaning any player) was impressive and such like but isn't for us as it would bite them in the arse and to me it seems like they are actually doing it.

West Ham already have Sam Baldock, Carlton Cole, John Carew, Freddie Sears, Frank Nouble and Frederic Piquionne with Kevin Nolan also playing up front occasionally.

 

Would they sacrifice 1 of those listed in exchange + cash for Jelavic?

 

I reckon Carew, Nouble and Piquionne would all be allowed to leave but I'm not so sure I'd be interested in any of them. However, Sam Baldock would be a different matter.

I would want none of the West Ham players if I'm honest. I heard Piquionne was supposed to be part of the deal but no thanks.

First of all it would make it a silly idea to leave at the end of the window. Secondly why bother waiting? Thirdly seems BS.

Would give Whittaker much needed competition as Broadfoot clearly isn't up to it and Bartley is just a stop gap.

I don't really get your point guys. He would be going home to pick up some clothes and belongings if he signed anyway, so it's no big deal that he's gone home now. If we're going to make him an offer it can be done and accepted over the phone, then he just comes over with all his gear and signs the contract.

I wouldn't we need strikers we can't have 20 midfielders and have at best 4 strikers when they are all fit. 1 is class when on form, 1 is hit or miss, 1 is not good enough and 1 is inexperienced.

You can't a loan a free transfer . Offer him a contract till the end of the season, then take it from there. It is what most people generally agree on unless they flat out don't want Boyd.

As I've posted elsewhere, he really didn't do very well for Rapid Wien - 25 in 70 in a very weak league. And only has 2 in 17 for Croatia.

 

He was great for us last season, and his goal in Malmo was stunning, but I think we (myself included) may have bought into a myth that he's better than he actually is.

Jelavic doesn't play up top more out wide apparently in Croatia. Plus he still isn't that old and goalscoring isn't really his game.

Not a great game, Milan derbies are usually a lot better than that. Milan were terrible, and had zero incision in the final third. Pato was reekin' pish and he'd have joined PSG if it wasn't for the fact Silvio Berlusconi's (incredibly hot) daughter is pregnant with his baby (allegedly). They're most certainly an item.
