It just goes to show how badly funded Scottish football is. I see more teams entering administration soon. If Dunfermline almost went broke from 1 missed payment from Rangers then the iceberg is starting to melt.
Hearts have been doing this for a while but I do agree with the Dunfermline point. Dundee Utd might struggle as well.

Currently the Americans, really unsure about everyone though but feel the lucrative option might be the Americans

Yeah, most of DM income is in steel or property, I thinK? Similar to Stewart Milne probably better of than Milne but hard to really get cash quick.

The Sun says Singapore, plus Fortress from America
US RANGERS ... Fortress chief Edens is pondering bidEXCLUSIVE

A BILLION pound American investment bank is behind a sensational Rangers takeover bid.

SunSport can reveal that New-York based Fortress, which currently boasts assets of £27BILLION, has expressed definite interest with administrators Duff and Phelps and it is understood the Yanks' move is being taken seriously — while a Far East consortium from Singapore continue to weigh up their options.
An insider close to the deal told SunSport: "This American company has piles of cash behind them and they are turn-around specialists."
Fortress Investment Group was set up as a private equity firm in 1998 by mega-rich American duo Wesley Edens, 50 and Robert Kauffman, 48.
Four years ago dad-of-four Edens, 51, was ranked 962 on the Forbes World rich list with a personal fortune of around £770million.
Just one year earlier the magazine ranked Kauffman at 557 with a bulging bank balance of £1.1billion.
Fortress began as an equity company before expanding into hedge funds, real estate and debt securities.
It is unclear as yet if the corporate giants have been approached by Gers supporting businessmen trying to rescue the stricken club, who were plunged into administration last month over an unpaid tax bill.
Rival bidders are preparing to show their hands as the Friday deadline looms for new owners to prove they are serious about buying the stricken SPL champs.
Paul Murray and his Blue Knights, who include London-based John Bennett and Scott Murdoch and motor tycoon Douglas Park, still believe they are in pole position to snap up Rangers.
Ex-director Murray, 46, who has the backing of fans groups and ex-Gers gaffer Walter Smith, inists he is confident of formalising his bid in the next 48 hours.
Now he could face Stateside opposition.
Take that as you want, I'm taking it with a huge pinch of salt

Maybe they got it wrong (made a woopsy), but middle east interest would suggest Dubai, Qatar etc... ie - the Arab nations.
I doubt it as Middle east and Far east are easily distinguished unless the administrators don't know their geography.

Changing the subject slightly. They say The Blue Knights offer is subject to winning the big tax case - a concern.
They also mention middle east interest! Is it not far east we've previously been told about?
Yeah that means anything from, China, Vietnam, Thailand etc.

Ross McCormack? And look how well that worked out for us.
Ok, but wouldn't say out and out striker plus he probably didn't really want to be with us.

I am sure I read somewhere that Sinclair prefers the "athletic" types - so a big, physical player.
Now, I know that the SPL can be physical but we should be looking at getting the BEST players regardless of physical appearance, especially at the younger age groups.
FFS, look at Messi, Xavi, Iniesta - all 5ft7 or less - yet they would run rings around the SPL. Even Puyol is only 5ft10 - very short for a CB, bit still a quality player.
Get the BEST players in - or have the proper coaching methods to actually COACH them how to develop.
Scottish mentality, little players are probably better than bigger guys technically but don't have the developed strength. Although big guys can have the technical skill, speed and strength just ask me
.

So we import in our own youth system, sad, it also seems they aren't very successful either. Although we should be scouring our own country for players. I heard Darren Ramsay was meant to be quite good, also good that he has came through our system, that is only one though.
Plus when was the last time we actually produced a first team striker from our youth system? 10 years plus?

I am very much saddened from what has happened and bewildered as well. I am also pessimistic about any new owner now, until i see what they do for the club.

You mean you would prefer someone from Motherwell?
There are good and bad people all over the world you just have to have trust and hope for the best.
I dont think the Pool fans are complaining too much these days with Fenway Sports Group are they ? Perhaps with Hicks & Gillette they were, but not with Henry & Fenway.Just being pessimistic guys, who knows what anybody is like. Hicks and Gillette were not bad for a few years and everything happened. Who's to say it could happen with Henry and Fenway but I think Henry seems quite keen.

I thought Papac was still banned unless I'm mistaken?

Wouldn't trust a far east owner, don't want somebody like the Birmingham owner. Unsure about an American, Liverpool springs to mind, really unsure about anybody at the moment.

That is also a very appropriate point(well hopefully) and certainly worth discussion and not name calling. To be honest I have been a big critic of Ally but I would find it really hard to kick him in the balls after what he has done over the last month. That is why I am all for giving him another season. Knowing the SF©A we will probably be starting 15 points behind everyone anyway so not many managers will be jumping to take over.
I'm of a similar opinion, although results have been poor he has had a shit run of things off field and probably lied to by Whyte.

Jelavic money is one issue I would like to know about.
Also the £9m being chased why is Whyte's affiliate companies chasing the money?

Seems to be status quo, unless they know something about the tax? Paul Murray doesn't seem to have the money either so very sceptical with people using Ticketus.

Didn't Advocaat spend like £4m on Konterman? Wasn't it closer to £80m he spend and probably got around £25m-£30m back.

Would be great news if it comes true. How would this work for any money we have received already from them?
Probably have to end up going after Whyte seeing as he used the money when he did not own the club.

Bilbao were immense. Looked like the home side and their fans sounded good, compared to Man U fans it isn't hard though, very impressed by a Basque only club.
Rooney was awful mind even if he got 2 goals.

Regan is getting it on Twitter big time. Me and Stu have exchanged views before but I won;t hold my breath for a response this time.
He'll block you and call you a bigot.....

Was about to post Regan and Doncaster are equally unfit for not carrying out the processes for fit and proper person test.

Van Persie should have scored in the 2nd half the guy has a good left foot but decides to chip the ball, shame.

Two promising young players.
We supposedly rejected at least one very good offer for Wylde in recent transfer windows, so the player had a transfer value for us and yet he's been allowed to leave?
I'm pissed off folks. I think the administrators should have started by releasing some of our oldest players. Those two young guys wages combined is not a large amount of money.
No, you aren't the only one. I am very sad as well they were the future and we let them go
. Others sitting in with 3 months on their contract makes me even more annoyed and sad.

Ian Brines or Crawford Allan should have gone after their shambolic displays.
