  1. That's a good point about the wages. Apparently Mido was claiming yesterday that he's playing for West Ham for just £1000 a week to prove he still cares about football etc. He forgot to point out that he's on loan from Middlesbrough, where he earns in excees of £40,000 a week.
  2. £4 million isn't enough for a 28 year old who is easily amongst the top 5 or 6 British goalkeepers I'd consider £7 million
  3. Redknapp said that he didn't sign David James because Gomes is his number one and he was only looking for backup, so he basically tried to loan our number one so he could sit on the Spurs bench for the rest of the season? GTF you corrupt, twitching, ginger bawbag!
  4. Win our next 4 SPL games and we will be at least 10 points clear (no games in hand for them either) which i'd say would make it pretty much over
  5. Keane is too old and slow to make a similar impact to Bellamy imo. Bellamy's pace absolutely terrorised SPL defences. Keane is still the best forward in the league, but he's not the sort of guy who i'd bank on scoring the winner in a tight game locked at 0-0.
  6. Obviously many people have 2 teams, but proclaiming your undying love for a club when you've been saying the exact same about another club 18 months ago is a bit pathetic. Nobody loves 2 clubs equally, you'd always support one if they were playing the other
  7. It really is terrifying to think about how small our squad might soon become Players with 18 months or less left on their contracts: Neil Alexander, Kirk Broadfoot, Steven Smith, David Weir, Danny Wilson, Andy Webster, Kevin Thomson, Lee McCulloch, DaMarcus Beasley, Nacho Novo, John Fleck, Kris Boyd, Andrius Velicka, Andrew Little Eek....
  8. Not being good enough for Liverpool or Tottenham is pretty irrelevant when he'll be coming up against the likes of Darren Dods, Mark McLaughlan, Stephen Craigan, and John Paul Potter lol
  9. The club will know the fans aren't happy about this so i expect new deals for Broadfoot and Novo to be announced in the next week in a bid to try and soften the blow
  10. We are battling on three fronts with a threadbare squad that for a month now has been carried by one man, Davis Lets just hope the returns of Bougherra and Boyd boost the squad as the Celtic players will have been given a huge lift today, not just the fans
  11. A mate just text me saying Celtic are paying half (£65,000 a week) of Keane's 130k wages Anyone heard similar? Crazy if he's earning that at all!
  12. Celtic need to win 3 games that we only pick up 1 point from I don't believe we'll lose both OF games, in fact i highly fancy us to beat them at Ibrox, so we're still in a healthy position
  13. Sounds like rubbish to me but anyway: Obertan is not an SPL player. He'd be hacked to pieces up here and the pitches are too narrow for him. De Laet would be a non-starter as he's currently their only backup defender (was the only defender on the bench against Arsenal) I'd take Koumas but he isn't a winger and that's almost certainly where we'd play him
  14. The 2 respective striking departments terrify me Celtic - Samaras, Fortune, Keane, Kamara, Rasmussen Rangers - Boyd, Miller, Lafferty, Novo, Little They get an injury, 2 injuries, and it's no big deal. If we lose Kenny Miller for any stretch, we are absolutely fubarred.
  15. Their first choice team suddenly does look pretty strong: Perhaps.... Boruc Hinkel Loovens Hooiveld Braafheid Maloney N'Guemo Brown McGeady Keane Kamara May never get the chance to play together though considering Maloney and Brown are long term injuries and the strikers are 2 loanees
  16. I'm going by Wikipedia admittedly, although £1.5 million sounds drastically low
  17. Permanent £3.5 million
  18. McDonald has joined Middlesbrough
  19. Steven scored a great goal in a friendly match against Linfield and the fans were desperate for Eck to give him a chance. Sadly he was loaned out to Scunthorpe about 2 weeks later and never returned
  20. I still think we'll win the league but only because of the lead we already have. They have striking options that we could only dream of right now. They can bring in Samaras or Rasmussen and expect goals. We have Lafferty as our only backup to 2 injury-hit strikers
  21. This reminds me a lot of when they signed Bellamy. Keane is simply too good for the SPL and will run riot up here. Thank god we have a 7 point lead as if we were trailing, today probably would've killed us off.
  22. I have to admit i'd be pretty concerned if Keane joins them. No defender outwith ours will be able to handle him.
  23. Yeah i think that might just be bullshit...
  24. He hasn't played for us in nearly 3 years; pointless for the lad being here
