Friday's events are a positive for me. It was about time that the fans stood up to this. Enough is enough. I also believe it will send out a strong message to 'neutral' shareholders and the like. I would imagine their reaction will be something along the lines of: "wow, these fans really are angry - this situation can't be allowed to continue and the club is going nowhere unless there is change" This in turn should lead to a greater number of shareholders (individual and institutional) siding with King/the good guys. The protests should not subside - if anything we should be upping the ante even more. We need to go for the kill.

Rangers legend Ally McCoist banned from benefit game...
MoodyBlue replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
It is a sickening thought that a club legend player may have to go grovelling to Lambias to see if he can take part in a charity game at our stadium. Wigs out now !!!!! -
One question I have is - what is an 80 year old man doing being put in that position - or what is he actually doing putting himslef in that 'delicate' position ?? IMO neither George or Liz were duty bound to even get involved on Friday night. There were several police there and they should have stood back and let them do what needed to be done. This whole thing is being blown out of propoition. Boko Haram didn't storm the building ffs !! either way - there are bigger issues to be discussed and dealt with, starting with the continued raping and murdering of our club by a number of individuals.
-
Again - show me an example of violence or assault from Friday night. People need to get a grip ffs!!
-
Friday's protests were the best thing that has happened at our club in over three years. It has gained widespread coverage which will only help our cause. It was about time that the support stood up for itself. If that meant a few lads entering the reception area and unfurling a banner then so be it. By the way some are going on you would have thought that Boko Haram stormed the building and massacred hundreds ffs !!

There was no 'violence' on Friday night ffs !! 'Assault' , 'violence' - deary me.

The tide is turning bears. We CAN win this !!!

they don't need to lay out their finances - they need to lay our generic plans, vision for the future. Scouting Youth Management/Coaching Fans interaction Stadium refurb Marketing/merchandising matchday experience What are their thoughts on that ?? we want these guys to take over - but what would we be getting with regard to all of the above. They must have thought about this, but have told us f.uck all.- 209 replies

We know it's in a bad way - but not getting official access whould not prevent all bidding parties stating their intentions and providing the fans with a strategy, vision, plan for the future. I am sure T3B's have good intentions - but what specifically do they have planned for the club in the future. The fans are owed an insight. Their communication has been poor, to say the least.- 209 replies

Agree - we have yet to hear a strategy, a vision, a plan from anyone. Again, the fans are kept in the dark about everything. From both the good guys and the bad guys this has been handled absolutely shockingly. And alol the while the football side has slid into an utter shambles and we will probably be in the Championship for another year,- 209 replies

Totally agree mate. Hugely disapointed in McColl - and I don't fall for his excuses. He could have done far, far more than he has done. Not the sign of a true Rangers man IMO,
-
I hear what you are saying. I think many will have high and probably unrealistic ambitions/expectations.
-
In reality, that's not alot. I think people underestimate the amount of cash/investment we need just to be back into a genuine competitive state and also refurb our ageing, decaying stadium. I don't see T3B's as big money men in all honesty - and therefore, are the wishes/expectations of the fans going to be met medium to long term ?
-
Do T3B's have much money ? I mean real, serious money behind them ? Are either of these 3 really wealthy enough to find and invest in our club to what we require ? Park seems the wealthierst by far. Not a loaded question - just putting it out there, as it appears they have money - but to what level ??
-
Need big numbers. We simply cannot afford for this to be a damp squibb !!

Brian Kennedys' reaction to todays news: BRIAN KENNEDY has urged Mike Ashley to make Ibrox sacrosanct. The Sales Sharks owner - whose £3m crisis loan was rejected by the Rangers board in favour of an agreement with Ashley in November - spoke to Record Sport this morning after it emerged that the Sports Direct magnate has lodged papers to have his company’s name added to the stadium’s title deeds . It’s believed Ashley wants security over the ground in return for yet another round of emergency cash and that this latest move indicates the board’s intention to knock back an alternative funding offer from a consortium of wealthy fans, including Douglas Park, George Letham and George Taylor. Kennedy, however, suspects the regime is simply ‘hedging its bets’ as it attempts to find a way of avoiding insolvency. And he believes the Rangers support would be a lot less hostile to Ashley’s proposals if the Newcastle owner promised to protect their spiritual home at all costs. He said: “We’ve got to be rational, it’s very easy to take a kick at Mike Ashley but the bottom line here is that, if the club doesn’t get funds immediately, it will go into administration. “The business is running out of money right now so the first priority of the board is to survive. Plain and simple. In order to do that they must find someone who is prepared to put in the funds which allows them to pay the bills. “There are only two options open to them - one is the Douglas Park consortium and one is Mike Ashley. I imagine what they are doing is keeping both of these options in play for as long as possible. If there is only one option left to them then it puts them in a very weak bargaining position. “I can understand why Ashley’s offer is secured against Ibrox because I wanted to do the same thing when I offered the club money in November. The key difference was that my offer was conditional upon Ibrox being placed in a trust. I wanted to ensure it was secured for the best long term interest of the club. I made it clear that Ibrox Stadium would only ever be used as a place for Rangers Football Club to play football. “If Ashley was prepared to make such a pledge then perhaps there would not be such feelings of anxiety and hysteria among the Rangers fans. Without this kind of guarantee I can completely understand their reaction. They are being treated with absolute contempt. “But, even so, I do believe that the board is simply hedging its bets at the moment. They have an offer on the table from Douglas Park and his group and now, if that funding does not come through for whatever reason, they at least have an offer from Ashley to fall back on. “Given that the only other option is administration then it’s probably not such a bad move.” http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/f...ashley-4983421- 209 replies
