As with all things time will tell, I think a great part of the confusion surrounding this whole affair is that people do not realise Murray's adherence to the mantra debt is good it is leverage. He has been astute enough to protect his personal wealth, while using other peoples or institutions finance to carry on his business, a few twists and turns to come yet.

Now that there is no takeover this January and highly improbable to be by next January, where have all the experts and commentators on imminent takeovers disappeared to. I wont get involved in who is running the club games, if punters wish to believe it is the Bank that is their prerogative, if my information is correct and I have no reason to believe it is not, SDM's son will be announced as the new chairman at some time in the future.

Finances appear to confuse WS greatly at times, in the meantime we are sailing in comparatively calm waters long may it continue, and nary a white knight in sight......looks like we will be riding to battle under the flag of the present black knight, onwards and upwards, we welcome the chase and confounding the harbingers of doom. http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/spl/rangers/my-decision-to-sell-pedro-mendes-insists-rangers-manager-walter-smith-1.1002491

Kujovic scores on average every 405 minutes or 4 and a half games, what is he doing for the time he isn't scoring. I just do not see what he would bring that we already do not have, unless he is or would be a direct replacement for Lafferty.

Fleck refusing contract a misunderstanding apparently...
wabashcannonball replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
Yes I will give WS credit for starting the whole sorry circus that has ensued since his unproven and refuted remarks, which have been of help to no one. This is WS who allegedly threatened to walk if there was no transfer funds. http://news.stv.tv/sport/126427-walter-smith-demands-cash-promise/ -
Fleck refusing contract a misunderstanding apparently...
wabashcannonball replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
Can the mismanagement of the club get any worse, "John wasn't fully aware his agent was negotiating a contract and the negative press was a little hard on him." It reeks of incompetence at best and total nonsense at worst, personally I do not believe a word of it, WS appeared to distance himself on radio tonight from Saturdays bannerama, strange since his as yet unproven remark started it all off. As for KB I would put money on him being reunited with McLeish, hope I am wrong but if he hasn't signed by window close, I think he is off. -

Any idea why anyone would liquidate a perfectly viable going concern that pays its debts.- 94 replies

No my evidence if that is what you call it, is simple protocol. No bids or offers have been notified to the SLE, ergo no bids have been made, potential bidders or time-wasters may shoot the breeze all do long, talkin the talk and walkin the walk are very different aspects. If the bank saying you must work within the remit of our facility granted you is the bank running the club, the banks will be running the majority of businesses world wide. Now I understand people disagree, but as far as I can see Murray is holding all the aces and pulling the strings, my prediction is that after MIH publish their amazing turn around figures, Murray will withdraw Rangers from the open market, time will tell.

Very simply because there is no evidence to support any of your allegations.

You may or may not be interested to know that these "worthless" shares are trading at "17/12/2009 09:16:11 46.00 3,166 shares £1,456.36" "the last noted trade is "13/01/2010 14:37:55 47.00 50shares £23.50 Someone appears to disagree with you about how worthless they are. While not a great fan of Murray I can still see who is driving the train and it is by no means a runaway train.

I await the verification of your facts, without any great faith, Murray is not known for being second best.

My stance is very simple, Murray owns the club, there will be change when he and he alone decides, not ideal, but life seldom is.

I would suggest that it has more substance than an alleged bid, which even the alleged "kingpin" of the bid denies any knowledge of.

What you obviously do not take kindly to is anything that does not suit your version of events, the sooner you realise there was no bid and there was no rejection, the sooner you will be able to work out what is going on.

I do believe you are the one at a loss, but there again you may be indulged more than others, who do not toe the party line. Murray is going nowhere that is the bottom line, get used to it.

Yes Frankie I know it is business guru ? Grant's article, as far as I am aware "get your shares here, only a £1 for the lot darryl" was the first to fly that particular kite. The thing is and it would be amusing if it were not true, is that some people who should know better actually believe that.

Of course they haven't I see Daryll everything for a pound has been at it again. "Effectively Rangers’ shares are actually worth Ã?£1. Any takeover is about buying the debt off the bank and King’s consortium are of the view that if Lloyds are accepting 60p in the pound elsewhere, the same should apply at Rangers. Why give Ã?£31m to Lloyds if there was any chance the club could be taken off Sir David Murray’s hands for around Ã?£20m, with Ã?£11m then “saved” to become working capital for the new owners?" I can think of one person who would have 50 million+ reasons for kicking that into touch. http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/spl/rangers/cracks-in-the-rangers-boardroom-have-been-exposed-for-all-to-see-this-week-1.998761

I don't have to you dismissed the answer......."are wealthy businessmen in their own right but even their shareholdings pale into insignificance with the 324,066 Murray holds in his own name and the 37,448,489 he controls through the vehicle of Murray Sports Ltd."
