PROTEST SUNDAY 14th FEBRUARY - MORE INFO
wabashcannonball replied to OnlyOneAmoruso's topic in Rangers Chat
On the contrary, here is a clear and concise statement from the bank, you will have to decide for yourselves which side they are on, if any. 27 Oct 2009 "We do not run or manage the companies that we bank - that is, quite properly, the responsibility of the management. "We would therefore like to be clear that Rangers FC is neither operated or run by Lloyds Banking Group." -
Lots of punters lay the debt and the reasons for it at the door of SDM, he has oodles of personal wealth, about of which 6% would wipe out the clubs debt, call me an old romantic....but it's always better to front the King or in this case the owner, when he is in his counting house counting all his cash. ETA, should have added this previously, it would be somewhat of an embarassment to be protesting against the wrong party would it not. 27 Oct 2009 "We do not run or manage the companies that we bank - that is, quite properly, the responsibility of the management. "We would therefore like to be clear that Rangers FC is neither operated or run by Lloyds Banking Group."
-
If a protest is a viable way of the fans showing their objections, why isn't it targeted to be held where it will have most effect, outside the offices in Edinburgh of SDM.
-
I believe that when push comes to shove, the board will be Murray's corner they are after all Murray appointed and paid for. Murray has been very very quiet of late, people will discount his influence at their peril. The article that the link leads to, makes on reflection interesting reading. http://www.istockanalyst.com/article/viewiStockNews/articleid/3691409

PROTEST SUNDAY 14th FEBRUARY - MORE INFO

However, Edgar believes a match day protest may undermine the Treble-chasing efforts of the team on the park. He said: “Our concern is how an organised protest would affect the team. While it would be something that people would like to do, we are very wary of having a negative effect which might contribute towards a defeat. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/editor-s-picks-ignore/kris-boyd-and-kenny-miller-boost-for-rangers-cup-push-1.1004070 -
To be united you have to know what you are uniting against and for which reasons, to many factions and misinformation for that to be happening in our situation. Less than half in a small poll on RM definitely support the protest.
-
On reflection you are of course correct...Edgar never conceded Donald Muir is a bank employee.
-
You should try re-reading and then re-listening.
-
I take it you were refering to this "behest..... "His unheralded arrival in the boardroom at Ibrox 10 days ago, at the behest of Sir David Murray, the club’s owner. "
-
No, but I see you have been getting a bit of a going over on the RM.
-
Edgar conceeding that Muir is not a bank employee summed him up, who does he think employs Muir, surely not the man whom Edgar claims is 99.9% irrelevant and his share holding is worthless. If it wasn't a serious issue it would be laughable.
-
When did Murray buy the bank ? after all it is well documented that Muir is in the employ of the Mint, unless of course there is categorical evidence that he is in fact a bank employee, which there isn't.
-
You are entitled to go with WS if you please, funny how this story has again appeared in todays internet edition of the Herald, straight after WS's comments, it is as clear as day that WS is using his meedja sycophants, if he has a score to settle with Murray he shouldn't be using the club to do it. Incidentally Muir does not work for the bank. http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/home-news/revealed-banker-s-ultimatum-to-debt-hit-rangers-1.928574
-
Not again, you would think WS would have learned from his last faux pas, evidently not.
-
Boss over at the bear's den is a very wise man, particularly since he has got his eye on a certain party, who owns lots of Rangers shares.
-
Perhaps you should read the post with reference to alleged, as for sources they are my sources or is the forum going to the demand syndrome, I am quite happy with the information I have beeen given, as previous has been on the money, unless of course unless you think you can prove differently.
-
You do appear to like complicating the simple, the situation is what it is no change, all the wishful thinking in the world or daryll king or big DJ wont change that, only Murray can, if you have a different opinion fair enough.
-
Ithink SDM put all the spin on it that was neccessary while leaving the door wide open..,rather different than "SDM said on numerous occasions that his kids weren't interested in the club whatsoever." What he actually was alleged to have said is "It can be quite painful. I have seen it happen to other chairmen and owners. I've had a bit of it as well. But that's the price you pay if you cross that threshold into the football community and I don't know if I want my son to do that. I don't think he [David junior] wants that." But if you like to spin that your own way carry on.
-
Taunting your havin a laff, stating the obvious you mean, maybe you missed all the newspaper and radio pundits telling of imminent deals and Florida Billionaires, hastily changed to millionaire. I just hope the bank are not responsible for this bit of alleged business, but they can't be WS claims it was his decision alone, and here's me thinking the needs of Rangers would be above those of Portugal in our pecking order. http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/spl/2833163/Gers-swoop-for-Poulsen.html
-
I don't recollect saying anything about WS and his application to the team, as stated before the financial aspects tend to confuse WS, nothing more nothing less. Of course whatever spin you put on my post is obviously your concern.
-
What is there to be confused about, the club is servicing its debt, there was no takeover, the bank is not running the club, WS can't make up his mind what is actually going on, Murray still owns the club...business as usual.
-
I believe you will discover the attempted takeover was the work of over enthusiastic storytellers. As for timescale I have no idea, David Murray Jnr. was not a board nominee. I believe the fact that Murray owns the club may be seen by him and others, as enough to allow him to continue as the puppet-master, Johnston becomes more of a McLelland figure as time passes.
-
Now that remains to be seen, but so far the information has been correct.......no takeover.
