  1. I would have thought that any property developer worth the name would have checked the relevant codicils attached to any land before he or they spent ANY money, anyone can do it online, why would he be surprised to find out now that there is a wheel aff the barra, tells me he didn't even do the basics, another duffy it would appear. Why am I not surprised. Papers or other media can say what they like about planning, the only opinion that counts is the one on the planning application files, appears there isn't any. In case you are traumatised by this latest development, no pun intended, we have been there before, but it was anything from £250 million to £700 million then, the only thing not included was the zips for the back o our heids. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/2008/01/06/rangers-s-secret-700m-blueprint-for-ibrox-78057-20275903/ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Furfuxsake it's easy, if I can do it surely a 22 carat property developer would be able to do it. Agreements in principle are exactly that nothing more nothing less. Prior to committing the substantial financial resources required to undertake the detailed technical work necessary to develop a stadium precinct masterplan plan, and subsequently applying for outline and/or detailed planning applications, RFC are seeking confirmation that the Council would be willing to enter into an option agreement which would confirm the availability of its land for the development. http://www.glasgowcitycouncil.co.uk/committee_minutes/public/Documents/Live/Executive%20Committee/20084/1100_10_10_2008_2481_Report_Item%206.pdf reference executive 422. http://www.glasgow.gov.uk/NR/rdonlyres/48242015-3DFC-44C9-8A4E-2E4DD832AF20/0/PRINT4200809.pdf
  2. No m8 I am not adamant about anything, the records are. +++++++++++++++ Rangers will say that they have played a straight bat with any interested parties, that they haven't made promises about development opportunities around Ibrox, that they never claimed that planning permission for massive retail outlets existed and that these details are all in black and white in their accounts. So why would Ellis be surprised about something that he must have already known? The best guess from their side is that Ellis is a 50-50 candidate. It may happen and it may not. These things are loaded with dangers, they always knew that. This whole charade is getting to be just that, a mind numbing charade. http://scotlandonsunday.scotsman.com/sos-sports-columnists/Tom-English-Sources-say-that.6168788.jp
  3. Because the outline would have been more than likely verbal, and everything to be advanced if the fabled super casino became a bookies in downtown Govan, you gotta laff at what people will swallow, due dilligence my arse, it's all in the planning applications, or rather not, right here on our front door.
  4. For the very good reason that the official applications and their recording are a lawful requirement, are you having difficulty in locating the alleged applications in the official and lawful register of said docs. Try sticking with the facts as they unravel, it helps towards the truth of matters.
  5. Now why would I insist on anything, you have the docs, the docs do not back anything up that has been stated planning permission outline or otherwise..........unless of course you can find them.
  6. I beg your pardon. Planning Consent was granted. OK show us it in the weekly applications/consent list, you're pissin in the wind. http://www.glasgow.gov.uk/en/Business/Planning_Development/DevelopmentControl/Sitehistorysearches/weelklylistsofplanningapplicationsfromfebruarygtodecember2005b.htm No probs NL, I just hope it isn't some fekker chuggin your chain on the other end of the phone...keep the faith m8.. but the docs are there in the links I gave, not a sign of anything being put in front of committee in the official weekly lists. :spl:
  7. Outline planning is about as far removed from "granted permission" as you can get. http://www.glasgow.gov.uk/en/Business/BusinessEvents/ibroxfootballstadium.htm It says outline was "granted" Nov 2005, not according to the records. http://www.glasgow.gov.uk/en/Business/Planning_Development/DevelopmentControl/Sitehistorysearches/weelklylistsofplanningapplicationsfromfebruarygtodecember2005b.htm
  8. No permission was granted.
  9. Probably the info that is in the area plan designating what can and what can't be developed, it takes an act of parliament to overturn said plan(s), acts of parliament are not cheap and they do not happen overnight. External development The Club announced on 23 March 2004 its plans for redevelopment of the land opposite Ibrox stadium and the Albion car park. The planning application for the Hinshelwood Estate and Albion car park sites was lodged during September 2004 and is due to be put forward for planning approval by Glasgow City Council imminently. DAVID JOLLIFFE, Finance Director, 31 August 2005
  10. Getting bored to death by all of the crossed wires, I asked my local cooncilor a planning committee member for a heads up on how this thing works, according to him as far as he is aware, the last contact with Rangers or anyone involved with Rangers with regard to anything outwith and covering tentative outline planning for areas around Ibrox, was at the time the super casino got torpedoed, I'll take his word for it.
  11. The whole pantomime is becoming somewhat less than comical and more than farcical, when britney after allegedly interviewing our chairman still claims to be unsure of Murray's decision making powers, what a trumpet to go with all the other trumpets. Just a thought but if Ellis refused to comment (allegedly) when given the opportunity by the ET, under pain of SE rules according to him, why would he allegedly comment through a poster on a website.
  12. Jung does that to you, all to do with dreams and aspirations, personally I reckon Masobali was weaving the dreams thousands of years before Jung cottoned on to there being more to being, than pragmatism and order. Life is a cup to be filled not drained.
  13. Jungian psychology is alive and Jungian it would appear, I prefer my old Clydeside uncle's philosophy. There is nothing more certain than uncertainty.
  14. Ok Scottie gimme warp factor 9...
  15. Why can't we afford to lose, is this one game the catalyst for everything final or no final. If we lose which we won't...is that the season over ?
  16. Well you won't have long to wait, MIH accounts are due soon, it is far from the banks interest to do anything other than ensure MIH remains solvent, cue Sir Minty and his big white cuddy problem solved...again.
  17. Appears to be no more than a rehash of Britney's pish on radio snyde. http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/408565674?-11344
  18. Ibrox 3rd March 1965 Facchetti and his boys, what a night what an atmosphere, we beat Inter 1-0 but went out 3-2 on aggregate, we didn't just beat them we destroyed them, they went on and won the cup, I have never experienced an atmosphere like there was that night, their keeper Sarti and Facchetti were absolutely the epitome of superstars, although we went out 3-2 on aggregate it was an honour to have stood and watched such a fantastic full blooded cup tie.
  19. You can put me down for expecting to beat them over two legs, if not why bother turning up. A faint heart never won a Fair Lady. :spl:
  20. Two great results in Europe , one by Lyon one by Fulham, surely we should be looking to emulate their performances, neither team is a team most Rangers supporters would expect to lose to over two legs, so where has it all gone wrong. It isn't through lack of matches, Rangers have played more Euro ties than any other British club.
  21. What a nice chap you are, sometimes people can't see the wood for the trees, in the words of Shanks...“Aim for the sky and you'll reach the ceiling. Aim for the ceiling and you'll stay on the floor.”
  22. You are unlucky Smith is your benchmark, I am very lucky history is mine......people like Captain Cutlass A young player, perhaps a wee bit on edge in the build-up to making his debut for Rangers, would be quietly pulled aside by Bobby and told to relax. "You're wearing that blue jersey, it's the guys in the other dressing-room who should be nervous." That's the way it should still be today, I was brought up as a Rangers supporters to accept nothing but the best, if you can live without that mantra......carry on.
  23. “Football is a simple game based on the giving and taking of passes, of controlling the ball and of making yourself available to receive a pass. It is terribly simple.” The man who said that knew a thing or three.
  24. The grandweans bought me a Dyson, aye it was an Animal, I don't think they realised the connatation, tache is a wee bit to light Frankie it's more Sam Elliott. :box: ETA On considered reflection one word, Lyon.
