Whose ridiculous assertion, the man's who went on to become Rangers chairman, you really should not take things literally, I know what he meant even if you don't.
-
Calm down chaps, in the words of that great politician ...me... it's only a game, but it used to be our game, ah for the halcyon days of kerry-oots, pissin on the terraces, gettin drookit when the heavens opened, and not a poser in sight, you've never had it so good ! :spl: they think it's all over it was weeks ago..:box:

Like that great failure John Lawrence espoused ââ?¬Å? Rangers cannot, and never shall be, second best.ââ?¬Â apparently you are unable to understand the meaning of that phrase, so admirably held to down through the years, business is for business men, winning football matches and cups is for players as delegated to by managers. Rangers FC is first and foremost a football club. :spl:
-
Let it be Frankie, some of us take the words of Mr Struth, John Lawrence, George Young and Captain Cutlass rather more to heart, if others prefer the more "pragmatic" approach of Smith, Which Bluedell so pragmatically broke down after the DU game, highlighting the contradictions of rest etc, so be it. My opinion of Smith is well known, the SPL is his level, as far as tactics go he is not at the races, a competent manager in his sphere sprinkled with liberal doses of luck, as said previously we had better players, but the inability to utilise them properly led to a team of cluggers in DU beating us, perhaps just as bad was the failure to negate the way DU played. Losing is one thing, losing to an inferior team because of failure to deploy resources in the best manner is another thing, pragmatism ? you can keep it, I will settle for simple winning. The ethos of John Lawrence will do for me ââ?¬Å? Rangers cannot, and never shall be, second best.ââ?¬Â

You can laugh at who you like, I just see football in the same vein as when I played it, a game that I like to win nothing more nothing less, and you are correct, TM will be laughing perhaps, all the way to the bank.
-
The difference is I can see the reasons, you don't want to, we got beat by a team of cloggers, who we should have put to the sword after half-time, you should look up the words of John Lawrence you might learn something.
-
Maybe just maybe what you see as negativity I see as fact, or is it only your negativity that is positive, the difference between you and me is that I don't buy into the "Walter" myth, you feel free you obviously do.
-
No, what I meant is what I said, it isn't complicated. ETA winning things in Scotland with Rangers is more than easy.
-
I will only say that to have come through the personal tragedies that TM has takes a lot of personal courage, people should put the football side of matters into perspective and let the man leave with dignity, is that to much to look for.
-
Nah, the Rangers manager who ever he was last night, lost because he wasn't up to organising a better team to beat an inferior team, simples..:spl:
-
That wasn't the point, do you think the league is won or do you think the sugar plum fairy Lennon may steal it away, with his secret potion for selik, shuuuuurrrely you got more faith in "Walter" than that. :spl:
-
So does anyone THINK the league isn't won, cos the bookies certainly do they paid out, something funny when Paddy the bookie has got more faith in the certainty of events than the fans.
-
If by any chance selik slip from 2/7 to evs, I will much as I hate taking money for nothing put ma hoose on them. ETA DU are fekin gash, long throw, big punt up the park and whoever was managing us last night never had the mallum to defend higher up the park, it was like schoolboys fitba...well mibee no as good as that..

Some of us ar confident enough the league was won weeks ago.. i.e. the selik are pish, some of us are not tolerant of letting the afore said selik have anything other than a doin, if you are happy to cede trophies in there direction what can I say.

Ah so it does matter now, our result was and is more important than the tims result, ffs make up yer minds..... http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/vb/showpost.php?p=197998&postcount=171

To win the trophy that doesn't mean much, the trophy we could have prevented them from winning, but we don't have that opportunity now, ....of course it doesn't matter does it ? wonder what captain Cutlass and his men would think of that attitude, but there again I don't, I know what he would have thought.

Who gives a toss about the micks result, they already lost the league weeks ago, on the other hand we could still have won the cup and the treble, so whose result is more important .....to us ??

All I can say is thank fuk the tims are as bad as they are, for what was served up by our management tonight is the stuff of nightmares, no fekin idea, rhyme or reason.

I don't profess to be a tactical buff that's what people get serious money for, can anyone tell me what the tactics were tonight, and as for throwing Boydy on with 3 minutes to go..

I really can't talk about players that are under contract. It looks tantamount to tapping up," said McLeish. "But we have got a number of players we will try and pursue in the summer. I can talk about Boyd because he's out of contract and we have made contact with Rangers also, in terms of showing courtesy. "Is signing Boyd still a possibility? Boyd is ongoing. He's talking to other clubs as well. "He's a free agent - he has got that luxury. Have we spoken to his people since January? Yes." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12040_6051541,00.html

This is getting to be hard work, there are many indications of planning permission in many places, except the one that matters ...planning applications granted or otherwise. There is no lawful recording of planning permission being requested or granted in any recorded minutes, therefore there is no planning permission granted, outline is nothing more than we like your idea, come back with the full monty and we will consider it more fully. NL 255 is the code from Zanzibar/Tanzania.
-
The word outline is missing from most of the references to planning, except from the Guardian link, an easy mistake to make if not clued up on property deals and developments, which I am far from clued up on.
-
Nae bother son, an auld man is happy to help, I think the favoured expression for the shenanigans going on here, is that our club appears to have been and still is being economical with the truth. Ellis's apparent amateur approach also set the alarm bells off, NL should be able to tell us by the ringtone he heard, whither Ellis was in or out of the country, at the time of the calls, his bill will also tell him where or in which country his call terminated, every little bit helps. I will need to stop watching Z cars I am turning into an investigative tadger. :spl:

Tbe fair one newspaper did originally report the correct acquisition of planning procedure correctly. "In Glasgow, Rangers were recently granted outline planning permission" http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2005/nov/16/newsstory.sport8 ETA the whole thing appears to be a crock of shit, with Murray's paw prints all over it another manipulation of fans and facts, but there again he is the ultimate master of that. IMHO Ellis's participation is major fantasy, based on what he has very easily failed to uncover with regard to even the rudimentary planning details.
