  1. Maybe the relevence is that no official statement has been made as to due diligence being carried out, if it is indeed being carried out, somewhere in Zanzibar, my best guess is that no DD has been carried out and Ellis will melt away like snaw aff a dyke....
  2. Because I spoke to a very nice lady at PlusMarket on the regulation desk, who suggested that there should be, if you are saying she is mistaken I can live with that. Funnily enough when I searched their site, I could find neither Rangers nor Murray, unless they are in a login part.
  3. The company in the link are nominated on PlusMarket, as Rangers registrars, yet there is no mention of any business concerning Rangers in their prees releases. http://corporate.computershare.com/uk/news_media/Pages/default.aspx
  4. I know we are across the other side of the rail line, but the side that the plans were submitted for, Homebase side, could not possibly contain the proposed development of that size. I also read a while ago that the insurance companies will not insure anything on a known flood plain.
  5. Interesting about Auchenhowie area, but kept quiet. How it would affect Murray Park I have no idea, appears to be a contemporary of Murray, Stewart Milne. The appeal proposal comprises approximately 550 houses; office/business development and sports facilities in the form of a replacement for the Allander Sports Centre on the former bus garage site; and land for a rail halt and park-and-ride facilities on part of the existing Allander site. An Environmental Statement (ES) for the scheme was submitted to EDC in July 2006. The indicative masterplan (C1), on which the ES was based, also shows the garage and car showroom, the Homebase store, the timber yard, and most of the existing development at Lower Kilmardinny, retained. The appellants had originally intended to include new facilities for WoSFC in their development, but subsequently made a separate outline application to develop facilities at Auchenhowie, east of Kilmardinny, instead. http://www.dpea.scotland.gov.uk/Documents/qA153265/J69850.pdf ETA Auchenhowie is on a flood plain.
  6. I know RBR I just can't stop diggin, still it is good for my prize roses...
  7. Changes by the article. Exclusive: Martin Williams and Stewart Fisher Published on 28 Mar 2010 One of Britain’s richest men is backing a Ã?£30 million supporters takeover bid of Rangers. Rangers Supporters Trust has submitted a formal acquisition proposal which would involve supporters raising the money through a membership scheme to buy out Sir David Murray’s majority shareholding in the club. It says it has the backing of a wealthy businessman to provide the financial safety net – believed to be Jim McColl, the 58-year-old owner of Clyde Blowers group, whose personal wealth was estimated at Ã?£800m two years ago. The Trust, which has more than Ã?£50,000 in shares in the club and has long called for representation on the board, said it is “very confident” the necessary funds can be raised. It believes 20,000 Rangers fee-paying members, contributing Ã?£1,500 over five years, would be a “prudent, realistic and deliverable target”. In its submission to Rangers, the Trust says: “Rangers supporters can – and will – raise the (assumed) Ã?£30m-Ã?£31m required to purchase the club’s equity when presented with a compelling vision which is inspirational but sensible. “Fan ownership is a viable and exciting way forward and roadmap to a secure, stable future.”
  8. Another Sunday another hotchpotch suggestion of a "takeover". Is Murray the stumbling block to any takeover, is he using the club (again) for his own ends, does he really have any intention of selling. What Murray says and does is often 3 different things. Aren't the RST "close" to Minty, is the chances of someone of status "taking over" now more hope than solid expectation, Does anyone believe Murray will be gone by next season, is there any cogent or coherent reason to think this taking his past track record into consideration.
  9. The fact is that the opinion of only two men in general and one in particular count, Murray and Muir, anything else is wishful thinking.
  10. The Rangers Supporters Trust (RST) today confirmed they had submitted an "exploratory document" to the club with the aim of taking over Sir David Murray's majority shareholding. Debt ?
  11. For some reason neither Hunter or McColl appear in last years rich list, is this because they are not UK residents ? http://business.timesonline.co.uk/richlist-app/?l=30
  12. Take your pick from a different angle.. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/mar/28/rangers-supporters-group-takeover
  13. Isn't McColl a tax exile, how much is he worth he is being quoted as having personal wealth identical to his ST richlist ranking, what experience does he have within football, if none who is going to supply this experience, why is it always a nice round £30 mill that is quoted. Personally I think the news today must be on the dead side for a rehash to take anyone's front page.
  14. I don't think you bodyswerved anything, calscot did.
  15. "One of the greatest victories you can gain over someone is to beat them at politeness." I was taught that at primary school, a saying I have never forgotten, you should commit it to memory.
  16. I can't be held responsible if you fail to grasp the meaning of the post, you are free to believe that Murray is peripheral and the bank is calling the shots, most of us left that nonsense behind on day two.
  17. To put my cards on the table I don't think £33 mill even touches the sides, I doubt anything south of £100 mill would either, we are not talking about any football club, Rangers are a Christies item when it comes to sales, and I don't care what anyone says, history such as ours from the fledgling Argyle FC to Rangers FC as the world of football knows us far and wide...comes with a price, I wonder if Murray has a price ?
  18. It may be blatantly obvious to you, but others are less receptive of that notion, the fate of the club as a going concern unfortunately lies outwith the portals of Ibrox. We are between a rock and a hard place despite being solvent, the reality is that the problem of MIH debt is the banks and lenders problems, it is their money at stake, SDM used the first rule of business without mercy...always use other peoples money, if the lenders make the wrong decision with regard to MIH they could end up writing off a lot of money, that is why I think they will do nothing for the time being if Murray's claims to have turned the corner are in fact true. If that indeed is what transpires we could be stuck with Minty for the foreseeable future.
  19. I would like to see Murray gone completely from the club, but I fear the web he has woven has trapped even him. I would think the clubs assets are so deeply woven with those of MIH that it would take a forensic accountant to unravel them. I have heard stories as has everyone, but one that an ex-Ibrox employee insists is fact, is that Rangers own nothing, we are, not to put to fine a point on it, a wholly owned trading arm of MIH, nothing would surprise me less if that is the case.
  20. If you care to look back at my opinion it has never changed, Murray has done very well out of Rangers, but there is a myth fostered by his media cronies that the opposite is the case, I do not believe Murray has put one brass farthing Rangers way. However that does not prevent me from seeing the power base that he has created and exercises, my personal dislike of his methods and practises does not blind me to his power and what he is capable of. Anyone who thinks this man is peripheral is sadly deluded, others have made the mistake of underestimating him, not one I would advise to follow.
  21. Murray owns MIH, MIH owns Rangers, nice little circle.
  22. Most sensible bookmakers have closed the book, but some will let you very generously have 1/500 Rangers and not so generously 55/1 the selik, the fat lady is absolutely howlin as she has been for weeks.
  23. Personally the opinions of designer fans have never carried much weight with me, I refer you to your previous post, which I note with some satisfaction you have bodyswerved, you should always check before you post and not credit the sentiments of your opinion of Mr Lawrences quote to others, I can recommend a few good sources so you can get a feel for our great history. http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/vb/showpost.php?p=198274&postcount=44
  24. I will only say that obviously you do not understand your own posts, you were quite definitive in your condemnation of John Lawrences quote, it was you who interpretated it to suit, not I. Personally I blame the schools and a lack of knowledge of Rangers FC's illustrious forebears and history, time and experience are great learners. http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/vb/showpost.php?p=198274&postcount=44
