We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.

Fan ownership while laudable, is a never ending dream, and most definitely a never ending dream among our fragmented support, such is the every day life of "the great Rangers family". Who ever coined that phrase must have a degree in smarm.

Making a comment on a fellows lack of ability is hardly saying something bad, it is just a fact, or perhaps some think he is hiding that ability under a bushel of Bentley's, and ner a cough in sight unless of course it is Lafferty coughing with embarassment....

You do me a disservice Frankie, I named my source for most of what I knew as one of my grandsons, a high heid yin in the bank, whither anyone accepts that or not is their prerogative. I suggested Murray was at it and would eventually take the club of the market in the greater interest (his), nothing earth shattering or speculative. Nothing apart from Muir saving Murray and MIH from the excesses of Murray and by association Rangers, from the more enthusiastic axe men of the english bank in question, has in reality occurred. Muir quite simply called their bluff, and I for one will be grateful for his expertise. I will take good advice I was given many years ago, "if you can't say something good about someone don't say something bad" I am tired of the tit for tat and character sniping, we are in a better place now (Murray apart) after Muir's arrival than we were before it, I will leave things at that.

I despair of any balance in this ongoing story, Darrel King putting Muir in the banks role again, what a fekkin tosser, he should be sine die from Ibrox, shit stirrin muppet. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbIcfFD30Ms]YouTube- FREDDIE MERCURY: The Great Pretender[/ame]

People tend to see this about being right or wrong, IMHO nothing could be further from the reality, addressing and reporting what little facts we had or knew of would have gone a long way to letting fans or posters make a reasoned judgement. Once unnamed sources are entered into calculations the likely-hood of a fair and reasoned judgement becomes all the harder, once the content has been embellished beyond recognition.

You will never draw a line under it, the status quo remains...I.E. Murray.
-
Allegedly the info which spawned this thread came from John McLelland ex chairman, if we had known that at the beginning we could have saved a lot of bandwidth, a Murrayite lackey if there ever was one.

I make no apologies for posting Edgars view on events, you can make up your own mind as to the validity or otherwise of that view. My own take is that it is very very worrying that this person and his cohorts continue to attempt to ingratiate themselves with main players, in my view he has no concept of the reality of the past or present situation, the comment about the man who owns the club said it all for me and you are well aware of my views on Minty. Unless people and in particular those who presume to represent start from a factual basis, we the supporters that is, shall remain adrift in a sea of misinformation and divided factions. davidrst Establishment PR Man Join Date: 29-07-2006 Location: SFA Offices assigning officials Posts: 660 Murray, Ellis and the Trust -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In response to a run of texts and PMs, here's what we know and my personal tuppenceworth: Ellis - spoke to him through the early weeks of the takeover. We did some digging and couldn't see where his money was coming from. Kept polite in the media in case we were wrong - it has happened before, after all - but remained sceptical. A few well-kent posters on here tried to calm the hysteria but were accused of anti-Ellis scaremongering. C'est la vie. Ellis seemed a nice bloke but never had the cash. I posted a while ago that a deal would be agreed or not agreed that weekend. it was, and he was given a deadline to find the cash. As I'm sure you have gathered, it passed. Murray - I don't think he has any grand plan. That's giving him too much credit. This situation has never had any long-term plan. It has been month-to-month and sometimes week-to-week. Murray was completely out of the picture at Christmas. Rangers increasing success led to a softening of attitudes at Lloyds, a diminishing influence for Muir and a superb performance from Johnston and Bain. They decided a month ago on a course of action and are now following it. Murray's intentions? You'd need to ask him. His situation with Lloyds is better and he has a bit more room for manoeuvre. Trust - Came very close to a deal for backing for a fans buy-out. It didn't happen. We haven't stopped working on it and never will. Is it close? No. Future - This is it for the foreseeable. No point getting angry about it. It just is. If you wake up in the morning with a toothache, you can spend all day moaning about it, but it won't change the fact you have toothache. You be the judge, Edgar claims a deal was done, the LSE announcement says different, how this rewriting of events is clarifying anything is lost on me, smacks more of waffle to me. http://forum.followfollow.com/showthread.php?t=663453

How do I know, because the doom merchants have been proved wrong at every turn, rather easier to prove than Muir allegedly attempting to sell players, you have no idea how preposterous that allegation is.
-
We are in a far better place than the doom merchants had programmed for us, despite all their fairy stories of financial demise, funnily enough certain parties who had those exclusives of banks demanding instant payback, are the same ones with exclusive sources regardinf "done deals". Muir is what he is a rescue specialist, and why is he constantly referred to as the enemy within......away and grow up..the guy is doing what he was employed for.

Sorry chaps, should have added to my last post yesterday a question that I was told to ask myself. After all the allegations and bandwidth used up as to done deals, nearly done deals, crossing the T's and dotting the I's, price agreed happening yesterday etc etc....does anyone actually believe that Ellis's team would issue a statement via the SE, that was a blatant lie, because if all of what we have heard previously about "done deals" was in fact true, the SE statement would be untrue. To what end, and why put yourself in line for all that ensues the publishing of false statements, simple answer to that.
-
OK that's it I am out of here until something happens, I have just been told that the Ellis deal is a dodo, to that I have nothing to add and will desist from posting, until I either have to fall on my sword or get on with the fitba'. I can also say that another source in the supporters hierarchy does not recall Akers in Vegas but does recall AJ saying he expects nothing to happen in the Ellis situation. Make of things that which you will. But things are spiraling beyond farcial, and to what avail, it beats me.
