  2. Thanks Frankie, it was meant out of respect to you and the other Bears impressive knowledge of all things Rangers. I will have to stop myself from being to easily misled:)
  3. Zappa your brain is baffled, mine is way beyond baffled. I am no accountant but I agree with a contributor to an other thread on this forum when he said "things don't add up" I concur with those sentiments, but not in the monetary sense. When I heard the information about the supposed imminent takeover (I now believe was deliberate misleading information) of Rangers, I was to at the least to say, well relieved. Then to gradually work out that what I was told was someone 'being economical with the truth, to me. I have been trying to get my 'up yours moment' by giving any uncovered news to the uber-fans on this forum. You generally get the feeling when any major deal is in the offing, the professionals clam up. however in the case of Rangers future everybody has had something to say (apart from the directors) why is this constant briefing being orchestrated. I am now coming to the conclusion it's the old magicians trick of misdirection, we have all been fooled into looking one way, whilst the real action is going on elsewhere. Again what that real action is, does now concern me. I am not convinced "the shit hitting the fan" is today's non-story about Walters supposed sacking, another case of misdirection, either that or I am going to stop reading Le' Carre novels. :fish:
  4. Gentlemen, one of the reason for me joining Gersnet forum was to inform you of any information I could gleam from my sources in the business community, about the supposed forthcoming real or imagined takeover of our dearly loved Rangers. As I imagined this has turned out to be an extremely difficult challenge, I new from previous business practises there are many tricks one employs to mislead the inquiring individual to stop them from learning too much. But I have been amazed by the number of deliberate misleading and misdirecting tactics, and non-information posted on various forums by unknown individuals. Something is brewing ââ?¬Ë?for sureââ?¬Ë?, I was convinced it was a takeover by an consortium lead by Graham Souness, unfortunately I allowed myself to fall into the very trap of misdirection I knew that was already being placed on these forums. I have heard lately (possible again misleading) ââ?¬Å?that the shit is about to hit the fan soonââ?¬Â what that sentence may be interpreted as is anybody guess. I can only dig more furiously to find out what the ââ?¬Ë?shitââ?¬â?¢ means and try my spoiling tatics, to stop any more bullshit from being passed to you, the uber-fans of our club. Indeed, Has there ever been a takeover in the offing? Or is the status quo to be the outcome of all this non-information. Or is it to be an supporters share scheme allied to our current benefactor going forwards handshake in handshake to a mutual prosperous future. Again at this moment in time who knows, watch this space. WATP
  5. I to would be surprised if any real information was imparted today about the imminent takeover. Speaking to a colleague to today he in an unguarded moment, he intimated news would announced in days possible a week about Rangers future. Although i believe he was responsible for giving me some deliberate misdirection. However, during any official or non official negotiations little things do become apparent, the language between both parties does become uniform. I am hearing the same words used between various people, " in the best interest of Rangers" and the latest most interesting "to carry Rangers forward" I am going back to my research to see who has been using that language in recent statements.
  6. Truth and transparency at Rangers AGM. With tomorrows AGM approaching may I make a plea for the above prose to be the watchwords for the Directors of Rangers FC, to extend unconditionally those sentiments to our Share Holders and supporters attending tomorrows event. I myself cannot attend tomorrows meeting as I am not a shareholder, although having been a Bear for over forty years I always felt that as a fan my presence although welcome on the terracing, would never be appreciated within the corridors of authority at Ibrox. This is no reflection on Mr Murrayââ?¬â?¢s tenure of Rangers, but more of a statement of reflection on Todayââ?¬â?¢s Business practise. We the customer is to be tolerated rather than consulted on the future of our beloved club, I feel the mantra of the boardroom is ââ?¬Å?this would be a great job if it wasnââ?¬â?¢t for those bloody shareholdersââ?¬Â But why should we the fans tolerate such behaviour directed towards us, we are the true custodians of Rangers, and not however happens to possess control at any particular point of time in our clubs history. I am by nature a placid fellow, but if I where to see some ââ?¬Ë?Merchant Bankersââ?¬â?¢ tut tuting down his nose at Rangers debts tomorrow. I would inclined to ask him first what have they has done with Ã?£500 billion of our hard earned tax revenue, gifted to them because of their incompetence when runing their business. We all cherish Rangers and want only the best for Itââ?¬â?¢s future, how that will be achieved is proving to be more allusive than trying to find hobby-horses shite. Having no prior knowledge of any forthcoming dealings, I have endeavoured to uncover information to impart to you, which will ultimately soon become apparent. This again has been difficult to find as the proverbial needle in a haystack. Why should we the fan always be last branch in the tree of knowledge, that is Rangers future. Rumour, counter rumour and misdirection has been the norm in this challenge. I am truly amazed by the depth of knowledge of Rangers by the contributors on this forum, in one of my posts I called members here Anoraks, for which I must now apologises for. Anorak goes nowhere near describing you, the word(s) I would now use would be uber-fan. Gentlemen i wish you good luck and god speed tomorrow. WATP
  7. Unquestionable Mr Murray is still in all reality in control of Rangers through his Lieutenant, unless that alters by the bankers deciding that they no longer had any faith that things would be improving in the foreseeable future for Rangers (that is clearly their primary question) I don't think he (Murray) will ever relinquish all ties with Rangers. That said i believe and it's just my belief, that a deal will be completed to his satisfaction (and in the best interest for Rangers future) that will allow control of Rangers to pass to parties as yet not formally declared to him. Once a Ger always a Ger.
  8. I don't purport to work for or know SDM or Souness, I read, I listen, I google I then make up my own mind. OK, it is a bit of an odyssey, but it is important to us bears. Once it's all settled i quieten down. All the information is out there go read enjoy, if i may use some legal jargon myself, the weight of evidence points to Mr Muir being Murray's lieutenant, Murray will give up control (and i use that word advisedly) to party's yet unknown, but i believe to headed by Mr Souness.
  9. I think you could safely say, Bankrupt!
  10. Muir is SDM's man, he's there to look after MIH (SDM) interest, simples. Interesting interview in the Evening Times tonight, the guy means well. Why do you think everyone is coming out the wood work at this time. Coincidence, i think not. I remember a guy called Michael Knighton tried to buy Man-u a few years ago almost succeeded to, just one thing stopped him, finance, he had none his backers melted away, cautionary tale that.
  11. They are still pals all be it, not as close. Any business between the two is just that, purely business.
  12. I am being told Mr Duffy has little input into the consortium lead by the name i mentioned, whether he was being used willingly or not, or indeed is involved only time will tell. No one outside the core consortium has all the information.
  13. Gentlemen, thanks for the warm welcome on to your forum. A poster remarked on his welcome to me was that there is a lot a intelligent people on this forum, and I should take the time to read through the various threads and digest what is being said and argued. Having duly taken my time to read through the threads and posts, this gentleman was correct in his statement about clever people contributing to the discussions. I can surmise from the arguments on this particular thread there is one or more lawyer and accountant contributing, which makes one more intimidated to post,. Any post is far more scrutinized by the professional eye than would be the norm from the mainstream Bear. Like most professionals they have the eye for detail and do read in detail any small print in any agreement, and this I feel is where we are being confused. As yet there is no agreement to mull over, no small print to scrutinised so therefore leaves any arguments redundant at this juncture. I am lead to believe an consortium is in place with the finances to approach SDM in the near future, where hopefully an agreement will conclude with all the necessary legal jargon and watertight small print to satisfy the intelligentsia amongst us. I don't think Mr Graham Duffy has anything or little to do with the consortium I mentioned, However my eyes, ears and nose are neither as clear, good nor as long as they once used to be. I will try to keep you posted should I receive any information, I am however keeping my eyes peeled that my head is not trampled on whilst I have my ear to the ground in this time of rumour and conjecture. Patience is a virgin, it neither likes to be rushed or forced to give up it's prize.
  14. Don't get caught up in the details that's part of the smokescreen, all will be revealed. finances are allocated, end of.
  15. No, i'ts the same show, just the ringmaster is behind the curtain:cheers:
  16. Guys, I live in Englang but even i know the Graham Duffy saga is just a smokescreen for a bigger consortium headed by Souness, Duffy may or may not be involved in a minor roll within this group. Don't waste you're energies on this nonsense, Just know the the good times are on the way back, we willl become a force again for truth, justice and the Rangers way.
  17. I am a recently joined member of Gersnet and I have to say with all due respect to everyone, but you are all a bit of a Rangers Anoraks. I have been a Rangers supporter for 45 years and before I started to post on this forum I honestly knew nothing of the various factions of Rangers supporters. I had of course heard the names banded about, RST, The Assembly etc, but I had no idea of their function or ideology. I may again be ignorant of this, but I think the majority of fans don’t care much about any of those organisations, simply because they seem exclusive to the ordinary Bear on the terracing (stand). There is a vast untapped reservoir of supporter who has no allegiance to any body but would like to become involved at a deeper level than they are currently at, the group who can successfully tap into this reservoir will have the loyalty of these fan. And by far the biggest vote to secure any mandate put before the Rangers family.
  18. Two good a valid agruements, so if i may dumb it down a little for us less coparate minded, that it's a case of six of one and half a dozen of another. The bank is looking after business ie it's money owed and the finances, and the Rangers employees are taking care of business on the football field and related matters.
  19. The Chinese have a saying "may you live in interesting times" which i think is supposedly to mean hope you have trouble and upheaval. Well we are certainly living in interesting times as Rangers fans, but i really do believe we are going to come out of this period stronger and more united as a group. If we the fans know 100% that any monies given to the Assembly will be used to gain the fans a voice at Rangers, then i think this time any call to arms (so to speak) will be a success. Somebody made a good suggestion on the Bluenose forum about the Assembly getting collection boxes at Ibrox, so as any fan who may not have the finances to pay £1000 for an share issue. Can still contribute some money through this collection when he can afford to and whilst at Ibrox.
  20. I'll tell you what would be more helpful or more controversial depending on the side of the fence you're on, and that would to get the Mhanks to wave the flag of their country, the Saltire or Union Jack instead of the Tricolour.
  21. Agree, but nothing that is worthwhile comes easy. I am willing to put my £1000 investment in a supporters share fund held by the Assembly, so long as we use the share fund to give the supporters a vote at boardroom level. I appreciate this will take a few years to raise the necessary capital, but if we build strong foundations with the supporters share money i think any future owner(s) will look sympathetically at our proposals.
  22. Hi Bears, i live in England but try to get up for most home games at Ibrox. I got my moniker many years when i was but a lad living in the Gallowgate not a mile from the San Giro. In those days people never locked their doors and my pals dared me to shout 'No Surrender' in a door that was well known Septic fans. Nearly got my arse tanned, but the father of that house hated me ever after and called me that "wee blue so and so" (or Orange B ) to other neighbours of the same persuasion.
  23. I was a big Bougherra fan till his antics of the last couple of months. OK, he was playing for Algeria, but other Rangers players where playing for the Countries as well, but no trouble of returning back to Ibrox with them. i think he has been disrespectful to Walter and Aly, and needs to be reprimanded. Get him back in the team sooner rather than later, but his cards have been truly marked, get shot of him (if possible) in the January transfer window.
