Monday morning regrets and a touch of reality
aweebluesoandso replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
My overriding feeling is one of deep regret too, they were there for the taking and we blew it. Being honest they took their chances really well , but we let them get comfortable even with being down to ten men. It was a great game, usual derby fair, but small mistakes can kill you , Several things stood out for me, we let them dominate the ball for long spells, that seems to spell a disaster in the making for us, we missed some sitters, never good thing at this level. Murty dithered when Rodgers was decisive. The game changed when they went down to ten men, we done nothing to capitalise on that game changer, when Murty made the change to bolster his striker options it looked too little too late. I could hear myself shouting in my sleep last night ''Get Cummings on ffs'' Experience with tactical awareness at vital times and some composure in front of goal would have won us that game. Experience will come with time, composure will come with experience, tactical awareness will have to be learned, but do have we the luxury and patience to allow this time? -
I won't ever be going back to the Piggery, i realise lots of Bears will. However the time is coming when tough decisions will have to be made about the reciprocal ticket allocation, the only way to reduce the adverse footprint of these games is by vastly reducing or even stopping the ticket allocation altogether for visiting fans for these games. It will come i believe but hopefully before a major incident happens.

Gonzo i don't doubt your source but the police telling our club the Tims must have 7500 tickets as opposed to 900 in the corner? Also our safety certificate is given only as a prerequisite that they get the 7500 tickets, when 900 tickets will lessen the threat and thuggery from them sounds like police are being economical with the truth imo

When they went down to ten men Rodgers had to make a tactical change, our response was clear as crystal, get Cummings on quick and get at them, naivety at not making the change showed and i think cost us the draw.

Experience counts in these games, Murty's lack of said showed today imo, not getting on his back btw, as i honestly thought we were good today. Morelos takes his chances and we could have won it. However i felt we played into Rodgers hands today, we reverted to leaving Morelos isolated, we kept it tight at the back for the most part, but we stood off them for periods and let then get comfortable on the ball again. Another manager, Pedro made this mistake too and it cost us then as it did today.

Our board won't act on this thuggery till some Bear is seriously hurt, then they might act on them getting the full Broomloan and treating our stadium as a their personal shooting gallery and us as their targets. Remember our support got chastised and fined for throwing paper airplanes.

In a normal society you would hope and think so, but Scotland is now not a normal society. It's a political cesspit where elected parliamentary officials can openly support terrorist organisations who mercilessly murdered his own countries citizens. The SNP is now merely a front for Sinn Fein and Republicans who have no real love for Scotland.

Not the worse but not the best of a bad bunch either.

I agree best solution all round.

3-1 for the Gers.

I think C1872 should email all their memebership, to ask as a special short term arrangement, that all of their monthly direct debit goes to the share issue. I have half going to shares and half going to Special Projects at the moment, but for say a six month period or longer i would be very happy for all my direct debit money going to the upcoming share issue.

Boabie there will be less police costs, 7500 against 1,000 fans, surely that could half the police presence? The Broomloan will be filled by Bears paying the extra cost for that ticket, currently an extra fifty quid, so on tickets sales and revenue there won´t be any financial loss. if they can police the Hivs and the Sheep they can police the scum. They are always seats given over to being a seperation between fans, they do it even against the smaller teams who bring about fifty fans, so nothing new or needed changed there.

How are the PQ Emerald taking the tanking of Falkirk?
-
Signed, don"t want those scum in my seat in the Broomloan ever again. Give them the corner and the same allocation as the Sheep, Hearts or Hivs, why should they be given special treatment.

Our attacking play is great and will get even better when get more clinical in front of goal. We should have been six up by the final whistle if Windass had took his chances alone. Never mind the chances squandered by others, but being fair as always i thought the Heart goalie had a great game, he kept them in the game up till we scored our second. Hearts weren't up to our pace today, they prefered to go long to Lafferty, nearly worked on a couple of occasions, but he plays it so fine at times he was getting caught offside, the strike he had was a peach but Big Ford was his equal with the save. We really are getting it together now, so many players comfortable on the ball, the lad Goss i took to calling him the Ghost, he glides about and just pops up in positions to carry the ball forward with the minimum effort but always effective. Murphy again sublime imo, his goal i thought he was trying to beat every Hearts player before shooting, like fifty thousand other i was shouting SHOOOOOT. Great team performance, Docherty and Candeias where outstanding, Candeias just shaving it for me for MOTM. -

I agree Oleg, there's nothing wrong with members asking genuine questions about expenditure and if that continuous expenditure is still value for money. Things change and it's always good practise to reevaluate it's value to the organisation. However in this case was the questions of the expenditure on the hospitality events done for financial prudence or purely a mud slinging exercise? Also are the people asking the questions or mud slinging, depending on your view, members of C1872?
