C1872 have already said the ''club are considering a C1872 rep on the board'', ok with the proviso that their shareholding remain or increases above what they hold atm. So you banging on about how unachievable or how unlikely and what a bad idea it would be. is just your opinion, wrong as it happens, but you're entitled to it.

How is board representation unachievable? If you gain enough shares to ask for a resolution at an EGM for it, you then do your cavassing to other shareholders, who might be sympathetic to the idea. So it can be done. No one is saying that's what should be done, merely pointing it out it can be done, but you won't except the theory. Anyone even a support Rep must abide by corporate law and the care and discreteness that requires, that doesn't stop them putting the wishes ans expectations of the fans to the board, the two are mutually inclusive.

I don't think they would exercise it under this regime, however who knows who will hold the reins in the future, that's another reason i joined C1872 to stop the Whyte's Green's and Ashley' s of this world ever getting a foothold in our club again. If you had enough shares in M&S to make your voice be heard, and you felt the board were being incompetent with the business structure, stock and staffing levels impacting on sales. Therefore also heavily destabilising your shares value, you wouldn't complain or do anything to get a better chairman in, or get someone who can turn the business round? Bare in mind M&S has gone through several chairman in the last decade. If you have enough shares in any company you can flex your muscles for change, it happens often in the business world, especially with large fund management companies letting their presence being felt. Well C1872 can do that on a smaller scale and i would say maybe they should let their presence be felt, in a constructive way of course.

I get what you are saying, we are frequently told that there are already Rangers supporters in the boardroom, however i don't think there's many who would disagree with the idea that the board don't always defend the club or the support as much as they should do. The PR is a shambles at times too, there are two reasons for me that a dedicated fans rep would be a good addition to the boardroom, to make those issues more of a relevance for the club. But i agree C1872 has a decision to make do they keep after their board representative or do they try something of an alternative? Should the club board not also come out and say categorically no supporters rep, or a supporters rep, will be invited on to the board, so they have a decision also to make. At the moment i'm happy contributing to C1872, however deciding what the way forward for them is, might make me rethink what i want to do with my money.
