  1. The fact we're not far off bankruptcy after he overspent on shite like McCulloch, Lafferty, Whittaker and Miller suggests the damage is slightly more significant than you believe. I'm not denying results are the most important factor. But the manner in which you win games suggests the long term success of the team. As I've said already, negatively scraping through games might get you points today but it won't tomorrow. the long term approach to a winning side requires an organised and creative nature. This isn't just about 'style'. It's about simply being 'good'. We'd all love to see one touch football but that's not what we're bothered about. We're bothered about the fact we have a side that can barely pass the ball about, never mind style. Again you bring up being 2 points off Celtic as some sort of positive. If Celtic had a better manager they'd be out of sight.
  2. He got me in the end. His incessant crusade is almost as boring as the monotonous drivel he types.
  3. I noticed that myself. Not a lot at RFC has much logic to it these days!
  4. Since when did top former players automatically make good coaches? Alex McLeish was a great centre half but it didn't seem to rub off on many of our defenders. Alex Ferguson was no genius on the park but he's a genius off it. As for managerial options, we're still a big club and much smaller teams than us can attract decent managers. There seems to be some idea that if Smith was to leave us then we'd be forced into some doomsday situation we're nobody on the planet would be able to replace him. We won't have a lot of money available but the chance to play in the champions league and challenge for trophies would be seen as a good challenge to many managers around Europe IMO. We won't have Ancelloti or Wenger banging at our door but there's plenty decent managers out there.
  5. I possibly forgot to add a prerequisite of being a good manager as well as having the experience...
  6. You don't need big money to win the SPL. I don't see why we're so scared of change. Foreign countries have a much more advanced outlook on football and aren't afraid to quickly try a new manager if need be. We've stuck through years of watching dross. Even winning trophies domestically never hid how pish we were.
  7. Windup yeah? Results aren't all that matters in football. Performance counts as well. You only get so far with negative tactics and relying on luck. Plenty people were complaing even when we were winning and rightly so. Last season when we won the Scottish cup we might have won the game but I for one was embarrassed to be largely outplayed by a Falkirk side. The mess we're in didn't just happen over night. The signs were all there. We really aren't any worse this season than last. We're just not digging the wins out.
  8. When your striker scores and makes a salute about an exiled player then you're clearly not getting commitment from the club.
  9. I think I've had enough of this old pals act. Nobody in there has the management credentials required to turn us around. We need an experienced manager with a knowledge of world football. With regard to the Stuttgart point, that for me sums up much of the archaic attitude in Scottish football. We didn't lose the game because we didn't kick them hard enough...christ. The main thing lacking was technique not aggression. Maybe that gives an indication to why the NIAR team constantly got the run around in Europe. The idea that aggression and effort is a substitute to talent and technique.

The broken English here is quite apt because it illustrates the nonsense you speak.

Continuing my previous point, Motherwell have only lost once this season as well, and they're terrible.

The shocking performance wasn't a one off. We consistently play dire football under Smith. Nor is dropping points away from home a new concept either. His away record is abysmal. Banging head against brick wall comes to mind.

I've been saying for a few seasons that if one of the Edinburgh clubs were as good as they were a few seasons back, they could quite easily make a strong challenge. If the right manager came along it really wouldn't be hard to build a side as good as Rangers or Celtic. We're full of players like McCulloch, Miller etc who are worth nothing.

How anyone can use us not being far off a dire Celtic side as a positive note is beyond me. Both the old firm are so gash that they basically prop each other up. As I said in a previous post its getting to the point where there's little point complaining anymore but what I will say is anyone who thinks things aren't all that bad should watch Saturdays game again. And that was not a one off.
  15. Two words. Smoke. Mirrors. RBR - You're wasting your time on him.
  16. A central midfield of McCulloch (pre Rangers a link up forward of sorts) and Naismith (striker or link up forward) with a front pairing of two big strikers in Boyd and Lafferty tells you all you need to know about a manager who has compeltely lost his marbles. I'd rather we just stuck kids on the park as long as they were in their proper position. I thought in the last 10 minutes the only players looking creative and composed were Wilson and Fleck. PS - Lafferty does look shite but in his defence, he's not going to prosper playing beside Boyd or out on the left. That said, we were totally robbed. Nigh on £4m is a huge amount of money for us and should have gone on a much better player.
  17. Well I haven't been here for long so maybe you could enlighten me. As for the next point I just told you. I agree with a lot of what they have been saying in recent years about Murray and the situations we are in. They speak out where other clubs don't.
  18. Don't really get your pissy attitude and I'm not really bothered about the RST to the point where I'll back up what I'm saying with examples. I just made an observation that personally they seem to speak the truth about situations we are in and Murray etc. You still haven't backed up anything you've said with specific incidents or quotes.
  19. They might not be if another owner comes along who's allowed to put us into debts of near £100m again. Quite good at not answering the questions people ask you eh?
  20. You are without doubt on the windup. :fish: Nobody expects anything for money. People expect the owner of a football club to spend money prudently though as and when it is required. We go from one extreme to the other. One minute we spend far too much and get near financial ruin, the next we can barely afford to loan players never mind buy them. Either you're a tim at the windup or you're not very bright. Newsflash, we have been absolutely gash for years and the owner of the club has to take responsibility. Have you enjoyed years of seeing players like Ostenstad, Emerson, McCulloch etc?
  21. I think when we hit debts of nigh on £70-90 million, that surpassed 'if your auntie hud baws syndrome'. That was not sustainable debt for a football club competing in the SPL. To be honest, if you can't see what Murray's done to us then nothing I can say will make you change your mind.

I don't really want Walter moving upstairs. The only place I want him going is out of Ibrox.
  23. Winning trophies was great and all but twice almost going bankrupt in the process wasn't. With some of the pish we've put up with in the last few years I'm surprised Murray has a single fan left.
  24. it's not that i dont want to answer the question. I don't have any allegiance to the RST. But out of all the groups representing RFC they're the only ones who seem to speak the truth. What specific incidents annoy you?

Walter possibly will win the league this year but its only because Celtic are totally gash as well. Even if we won the treble this year I'd still want shot of him. We're going nowhere.
