  1. Problem with Miller is he could probably get 30 k + a week easy at a premiership club like newcastle. A lot of pacy strikers like Miller do quite well at half decent clubs in the EPL. He might think with Derby and Wolves he never got a proper crack there. Hopefully he decides to stay as he'll still get a good wage here and he's playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world.
  2. You said in another topic ff has too many 'uber prods'. That as well as your comment here about the fans gives the game away
  3. Now that we seem to be a lot safer financially and have improved drastically on the pitch, we really need to start protecting our star players. In recent years we've appeared very much a selling club and not so long ago every player 'had their price'. Now while that still may be the case (some offers can't be turned down), I think we really need to distance ourselves from that ethos and start to function like other big clubs, telling the media we're not looking to sell anyone. For the first time in a while we don't have a conveyor belt of players going in and out each season and have had much the same team for a while, something Celtic have struggled to do. We need to tie our better players up on longer contracts and can't afford another Boyd or Wilson situation. With the way we've been performing in Europe many of our players will attract interest, particularly McGregor, Bougherra, Miller and Naismith. I want to see us standing up and making it difficult for clubs to sign our players. With the signing of Jelavic we're now looking like a club again that has ambition
  4. I think a bit of both. Loovens is no Bougherra and wouldn't have been a terrific signing but at the same time being in an organised system with an astute manager makes a centre back a lot better.
  5. I thought you were a timposter, this confirms it
  6. We have come off much, much better than them in players both clubs have targeted. Walter certainly did want him though, we tried very hard for a long time to sign him.
  7. anyone got a picture of the penalty, showing the contact?
  8. They're fucking raging haha. They look like a bunch of ignorant kids. hahaha just noticed this corker from celticbhoy 07
  9. I thought he did a fairly good job. That said, Samaras stayed on the park despite 2 straight red card lunges and a sly little knock on McGregor's head. I also thought there was a hell of a lot of diving going on in the first half with Celtic players constantly hitting the deck. I also thought the penalty for us was the correct decision. Yes Broadfoot went down easily but if a defender lifts boths arms in the box and makes contact, a penalty is justified.
  10. Kenny Miller's been absolutely rotten today. We knew it was going to happen eventually. Let's hope he doesn't hit months of poor form EDIT - SHOWS WHAT I KNOW HAHAHAHAHA YASSSSSSSSSSS
  11. Glad we got that, didn't know where it was going to come from. Lafferty has to stay through the middle, on the left he's constantly abysmal. And we have to get McCulloch off, he's a red waiting to happen. PS - The diving on show today has been ridiculous, they constantly hit the deck. Samaras should have been sent off
  12. They are awful. And so are we today. we're not that comfortable considering we're losing.
  13. Don't really get what you mean here. Foreign teams aren't as good as the media would have us believe? Such as?
  14. Nowhere has he said he'd stay. To be honest, I've no idea what he's worth but it will certainly be outwith our budget. Man City aren't short of wide options with Silva, Milner and Johnson (not to mention Tevez' prefered position is slightly wide from centre) so he wouldnt be in the team any time soon. A loan extension might be possible.

It's up to people what they do with themselves as long as they don't harm others

You realise prohibition is proven to be a failed ideology. Yes it's breaking the law but who gives a fuck. Half the laws in this country are fcking ridiculous. What is more of a concern if the mindset he is in and how hes affecting others

If he's endagering others yes throw the book at him. Personal chemical use though is another story. Drunk and going to sleep, .. gd day

He can't be far off being put in prison, which would be the worst thing to happen.

Being no stranger to recreational drug use I firmly agree but the problem here is he's constantly getting in all sorts of trouble and clearly in a bad, bad way. I don't know the circumstances of the arrest but before he was searched it's likely he was behaving erraticaly.
  20. That's the lamest showboat video I've ever seen
  21. I think 4 European exits in one calendar year is a better indication of their quality at the highest level.
  22. I didn't think it deserved the hype. Miller's Crossing though - there is a fucking immense film!
  23. I wouldn't mind seeing a 4-2-3-1 Real Madrid-esque formation. 2 holding players, Davis in front making runs forward, Weiss + Naismith on the flanks and Miller up front. That could really destroy them and is a balanced system as long as the wingers track back. I'm really not a fan of 4-4-2 anymore, unless you have a really strong front pairing. 4-5-1/4-3-3 is the future of football. Adaptable and less rigid. It's a testement to our team though that we can play literally any formation admirably. We're strong all over the park.
