    As I said in my 'best leagues in the world' topic, I reckon the premiership is a shite league outwith about 5 teams. They're fit and powerful but poor technique and style. Rory Delaps creating most of the chances...from a fucking throw in.

    Fuck me, Stoke are a horrific team to watch. Team of hammer throwers if ever I saw one. Mid table premiership can be VERY hard to watch.

    Highly doubtful given our scouting system but stranger things have happened. How many times in the last 15 years have we actually signed unknown youngsters or even general unknowns who have cut it?

    A quick search shows he's Jamaican and grew up in England. I've no problem with us selecting players with limited Scottish connections if they are special but I won't hold my breath on this one. Incidentally, I don't see the point in picking anyone in the SPL outwith the old firm, other than the odd player like Goodwillie. Ach I barely care about our national side anymore anyway, it's as if we're going back to the Vogts era with a lot of random players getting picked and no direction. If we're going to be shite we may as well be shite with 11 Scottish born players.

    Strange one. Don't see the point in playing an 18 year old defender thats miles away from being a regular at club level.

    Nobody on the Celtic forums seem bothered. Are forums not a general cross section of the support?

    Lafferty has the most assists in the SPL this season at 5. I hate seeing him on the left, he's much better through the middle where his pace can cause problems. Why have we played strikers out wide so many times in the last 5 or so years? Particularly wide in a midfield 4? One thing about Lafferty is his goal record at club level over his career is nothing short of abysmal. He has to work on that but it's not just his fault - playing out of position doesn't help. His goal ratio isn't much better than a lot of defenders.

    The greatest of all time. 2 European trophies with Porto and he's since proven that was no fluke. Real Madrid are monstrous this season

    well, hold on a second. They've played 14 games in the league and in Europe this season and won 12. Yes they've looked iffy away from home domestically lately but the league table doesnt lie.

    Did I say 2-0 Chelsea? I meant 2-0 Liverpool... Christ Chelsea have been awful. They really need Lampard, Essien and Drogba fit.

    No Drogba or Essien today, are they being rested? I doubt it will be a walkover, I imagine Liverpool will raise their game as they did against United. I'll go for a 2-0 win for Chelsea, who should prove too strong.

    It's not the first time we've had a player on loan from an English side who has impressed at first then drifted away. He does appear the real deal though going by his track record. He could do with developing more strength

    I've been thinking about some of the players from the past we've been close to signing, ones you might not remember. Does anyone remember the Italian player we gave a trial to around the time we signed Gattuso?

    Which democratic countries in the world have more than 2 big parties? And capitalism might have its downfalls but it's better than living in a backward country.

    Yep, at 3-0 up with the game all but finished it would be the perfect chance to get a youngster or 2 on. They'd be full of energy with little risk. oh well

    Massive improvement in the second half. The goal opened up play because they couldn't pack the defence anymore. There's much more balance to our side now too with Naismith dropping off and Lafferty with Miller in attack. Naismith and Miller beside each other in a 2 man attack are too similar. Don't know why Wattie sometimes plays mismatched partnership? He tried Boyd and Lafferty together often to not avail.
