What did Spiers report on?
-
I watched via means other than being at the game and found it a difficult game to watch, nothing seemed to happen like a pre-season friendly? That said i didn't catch the whole game and im happy with 3 points. I think a side as poor as this should be beaten more comfortably, though

Watching videos and reports of today, it's all the more ironic that yet again we excell in upholding strong protestant, Scottish and British values yet continue to be abused by ignorant enemies. We have our filthy friends from the east end bringing the game into disrepute by putting a fat ginger bigoted reptile on the touchline shouting at the officials. Meanwhile we go about out business quietly and efficiently. Well I say that, but actually it's not true for today we put on a show for our troops that no other club in Britain will come close to, Proud to be Protestant Proud to be British Proud to be Scottish Proud to be with The Rangers NO FUCKING SURRENDER, BUILD MY GALLOWS BUILD THEM HIGH :giruy::giruy:

Worth a mention that some players run not far off 10 miles a match. Though I doubt many of our players cover that sort of ground.
-
In footballers defence, 2 games a week is far more physically enduring than any 9-5 job. But really I think we're just showing that we're a very ordinary side
-
That's not really true though is it?
-
I'm sure oor Willie will get plenty decent snaps
-
This is the exact type of match I'd expect us to stumble against the sheep. They're doing terribly and we're off form.

Anyone else miss the days when it was about the football?
Totti replied to Norris Cole's topic in Rangers Chat
Agree with that, though the media are still going quite strong with their poor wee neil being lied at routine. Though I imagine the more objective and straight talking pundits/journalists like Traynor will be slamming him? I don't pay any attention to the media so don't really know who exactly is saying what. I've noticed my non Rangers supporting fans are really starting to hate Celtic more. -
Scotland squad - Whittaker, Naisy selected
Totti replied to Rangers Football Club's topic in Rangers Chat
I think something Scotland lack nowadays is really strong old firm based players. Gone are the days of Goram, McCoist, McCall, Ferguson, Collins, Lambert etc. Throw in the likes of Calderwood and Hendry who would have run into a brick wall for the nation and we were always full of passion and tenacity, if lacking in much talent. Now though I just see a lot of run of the mill championship level players who won't get us anywhere. We went a step forward with WS where pride was restored and it felt like the Scotland of old who wouldn't give anyone an easy game. Now it's 2 steps back and we're shite again -
We should give Fleck a run of games just off a main striker. In a midfield 4 he will be wasted. By the way, 2 wingers/attacking wide players and only one defensive minded midfielder is a big risk and will lead to us dropping points in the future.

I'd imagine so, there's a lack of strikers and a plethora of attacking midfielders and wingers. I'd struggle to pick a half decent side out of that squad. It looks more like a championship mid table squad. At least in previous times we generally had a handful of top players and some pretty decent ones -

Aye that's what I meant

Celtic again were lucky not to finish with 8 or 9 on the park. The fat cunt doesn't do irony.

The likes of Davis and Naismith are talented players who had impressed previously. McCulloch's never been that good.
-
Have to agree. He was nothing short of abysmal for much of his early career here and was often anonymous in games. To make things worse our whole game was playing long balls to him which was horrible to watch and ineffective. Since playing the holding role I thought maybe he actually was a quality player, however he's increasingly going back to his old self
-
Considering the title has been decided in recent years even on goal difference, it is relevant. We only have one competitor in the league and judging by our poor performance recently, how they get on is almosts as relevant as us.
-
Good point about McCulloch. He's looking like his old self where I struggle to see any contribution.

Walter Smith: Rangers long-term policy of investing in youth has paid off
Totti replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
For a player of supposedly limited ability, Kirk Broadfoot often looks very capable technically IMO. He's certainly improved but even when he signed I thought he looked very comfortable on the ball. The comments George Burley made about him were horrible. If you say something along the lines of 'he's not the best in the world', what it means is the player 'isn't really much use'. He's one of the better Scottish players though. Fair play to Walter for spotting the talent in him because even St Mirren fans thought of him as a loose cannon at times -
Birmingham look strong defensively (apart from tonight), then have Ferguson sporadically being very impressive. Other than that.......... Hleb hasn't half ruined his career. At Stuttgart when they were awesome he looked one of the best player on the planet.

lol corker of a 15 min spell more like, which incidentally I missed. The first 70 minutes were horrific.

The fat cunt should wind his neck in. If he got in someones face like that anywhere else he'd be arrested
