As I've said time and time again, running a club is about spending wisely. We either spend too much or too little. Those in charge of our club have not a clue what they are doing. They need to take some remedial business studies classes at Glasgow College. One point, you say we are more savvy than ever, yet not so long ago appeared on the brink of financial destruction, as has been the case more than once in the last 10 years. We go in cycles of being too prudent then over exuberant, which is bad management and all the more reason for change.

MY only reservation is I would prefer a single loaded person to by us, sharing power in the running of a club can lead to massive internal conflict.

You ever seen the show Curb Your Enthusiasm, South Park etc? Shows that can have a laugh at all themes and issues including race. I think most intelligent people in modern society can make jokes about various taboo issues and see the difference between that and ignorant racism. Winter's comment has no malice and is relatively amusing, if a little out of place. If he had joked about a white player looking like someone you wouldn't bat an eyelid.

Slighty worrying, non? We know we have a threadbare squad but fuck me, it reminds me of the days when you were a kid and you were sruggling for enough numbers on a sunday to fill the XI and bench. At the moment with this current Rangers team I find us a few players from being really good, and conversely a few players from being really bad. This has been a recurring theme since 2002/03 the last time we had a squad to match our size. Our good results this season are papering over the cracks of the archaic infrastructure our club has. I've yet to see improvement in scouting, youth et al. Where do we go from here? I used to hate the idea of having a billionaire running my club and splashing shed loads but I'd love that now. We have made no progression in the last 8 years other than 'steadying the ship', apart from the financial yoyo we seem to operate by (which is more down than up)

Listened to the end on sportsound, St Mirren almost scored a winner at the end too. The cracks are showing at Celtic. Twice out of Europe, easily beaten at home by us and now stuttering against mediocrity in the SPL. They have a squad full of players I wouldn't recognise if I walked past them in the street and a manager with no previous experience whatsoever.
