Head of Recruitment seems a decent role for a person who hasn’t done that nor DoF roles as it lets him develop and potentially can progress to take on a wider fuller remit . Of course we wish him very well , welcome -
Already had my say back then . Cannot command head to head situations and also watch his instant reaction each time a goal is conceded . Who treasures a teamate like this who instantly blames others it can be Tav , Leon , Davies , Souttar , Katic and on and on . Responsibility and accountability are beyond him . Now today , first quarter underlines the point I was trying to make in this post . what I will add now is if Clement doesn’t deal with this it will be him next just as it was for GvB and MB . Being a leading player means they you are constantly vigilant annticipating and reacting to make big moments .

Decent player with great availability statistics who has found himself at the core of a series of key defeats . Fine when we have league games and the like where we have a spare CD but come the pressure points when he is having to play head to head with any decent player he is fragile imo . for me the pairing is like to see is Souttar on rhs and Balogun on the left with Tav and Borna in the Fullback roles .

[Official] Rangers appoint Philippe Clement as new manager
Dr Bongo replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
Arthur Numan , GvB or RdB maybe. -
Re automisms these have been recognisable in football for decades eg we have seen it from Bayern back in the 1980s . i couldn’t honestly claim any our teams have had genuine clever movement since Dick Advocaat’s regime and tbh I really miss that facet of the game . is that a football trend or just our clubs limitations ?

Mentioned that not only injuries but fitness needs to be worked upon . Not seen anything as to whether he is bringing medical/conditioning staff in for either of these two matters . seems to me that he has known for at least a few days he was coming in . I reckon we will have a good indication on his likelihood to succeed by the end of the January transfer window

[2023] Who should be the next Rangers manager?
Dr Bongo replied to BlackSocksRedTops's topic in Rangers Chat
Possibly where they have excelled is in managing to keep this search and appointment process relatively private . Particularly given there are so many parties involved . Let’s hope the outcome is equally excellent -

Any idea of what type of CD’s he favours I’ve noticed he had a couple of Colombian guys and did he sign Jack Hendry for Bruges too ? reason I ask is I reckon that is the core problem we will have once we get our injured midfield and forwards back in the first team -

Other than whoever picked Steven Gerrard for us who at Rangers is even potentially equipped to make a good appointment ? anyway many fans didn’t fancy SG either when he came in so let’s not fantasise that we the follow followers are equipped either . -
Match Thread [FT] St Mirren 0 - 3 Rangers (Tavernier 30' pen, 90+1'; Sima 71')
Dr Bongo replied to Bill's topic in Rangers Chat
The primary Q is which players will win there head to head and then as many as possible have to deliver . I can’t honestly believe in all of these starters but I’ve taken a stab at it butland tavernier souttar balogun barisic raskin lundstram rice lyall sima lovelace -
Nothing being said about Jack Ade going who was head of performance and not long in the door . Also wonder what the distances covered statistics for the team pre and post his appointment show . Something Ally took an interest in during GvB’s time . What are they now .

Could be doing with a squad update to support the squad selections but it looks light in MF also Leon Balogun missed the OF squad too is he maybe injured . more generally what are we going to do with all those forwards listed . Is that maybe explained by other payers being unavailable so we have a gush of forwards instead .
