Scottish Premier League clubs agree to 'explore expansion'
Jim1955 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
The SPL is a busted flush. It is an arrangement that has failed on a number of different levels and should now be consigned to the dustbin. Never again should we be part of such a self serving organisation. -
Some clubs will not benefit from Rangers in the lower divisions
Jim1955 replied to calscot's topic in Rangers Chat
We need to win friends from within the SFL so I reckon a good move would be to offer a pre season friendly to the team that drops out of SFL 2 at the end of the season. Makes sense to me. -
Have it on good authority that the junior Rangers sides were called "Swifts" so we'll have no more of this Colts malarkey.
-
This proposal requires the dissolution of the SPL, not a bad move I think.
-
Why not simply set up a different "Colt" league then? Is it Castille in Spain who are Real Madrid's B side? They can't win promotion but are allowed to go all the way in cup competitions.
-
They seem to be talking about a 16 10 18 set up as I understand it. The youngsters would be in the 18.
-
Some chatter on twitter that the SFL league reconstruction would involve the introduction of "Colt" teams from us and those from the dark side in a reformed 3rd tier of Scottish football. Not too sure about this this as we are are already playing a mostly youth side. Maybe they want to see our under 15"s.

1995? Half time : Bayern Munich 0 Raith Rovers 1 if I remember correctly.

Anybody know what our FIFA ranking was when the SPL was formed?

It's much more likely to be a "Pic'n'Mix" verdict some schemes might be judged unacceptable while others are judged acceptable, there will be no grand verdict.

I'm pretty certain that he has resurfaced ahead of the share flotation because he expects to be paid to go away. I've no evidence it's just a gut feeling.

Craig Whyte: I brought Charles Green in to buy Rangers

I'm afraid that the timing of this is more business related than an attempt to deflect attention from the parlous state of Scottish football. -
Craig Whyte: I brought Charles Green in to buy Rangers

Why now and Who benefits? -
Yeah, that's a tough one,
-
It can't be too early for Rangers to begin thinking about his replacement and to take what steps we can to ensure that the full support of the club will be required to secure his successor's appointment. We cannot have another candidate imposed on us.

Hampden will be closed next year as preparations are made for the Commonwealth games in 2014. Where will the cup final be played while it is closed? Imagine a scenario where we don't make the final but the orcs do, would the Sfa have the nerve to require it to be played at Ibrox (Ibrox it will remain for me regardless). or would they hand them home advantage in a cup final?

Reference the manager falling from a window did this, or someting very similar not actually happen at Juventus?

BBC Intro from last night - RFC Lodge Complaint
Jim1955 replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
BBC Scotland have now completely lost their hard won reputation for objectivity and impartiality and lost it beyond redemption. We should have nothing more to do with them. -

It's well past time that these accusations and insinuations were faced head on. Fair play to CG for taking this on. -
Radio Clyde have reported that Fife police are investigating this.

I wouldn't hold your breath.

Just when can we expect this Kangaroo court to make their Decision known? Anybody any idea.?

This is the best news today by a considerable margin. Very pleased to read it.
