  3. Only real surprise from that lsit is Adel Gafaiti, I thought he did reasonably well for 19's this season and is a 1994, so still under 19 next season. Marenghi - A decent skilful player, but there seemed to be a personality clash with coaches and he has been frozen out and never featured much, I think he will get a club okay. Hunter - Never progressed as we hoped, no surprise. George - Goalkeeper, 2nd year 17 but Liam Kelly who is a year younger is ahead of him, Sam is a good keeper but stopped growing. Robinson - Not a surprise, had a few injuries this season Werndly - Came from Norwich in the summer, sent to Albion Rovers in January, a bizarre Sinky signing (see the Jedwards) McNeill - Borderline, they changed their mind about Ewan on a few occassions this season. Playing for Airdrie's 1st tean and he will have a careeer I'm sure. Good enough for Rangers ? Probably not, but I hope he proves me wrong. Dick - Not a youth player, injured most of this season no surprise. Robbie McIntyre who is not on that list has also been released. That is a story I would like to know, but maybe there isn't one. Came from Tynecastle Boys Clubs last season, broke into 19's where he was a regular for a big part of the season and played for Scotland's U17's. Never featured this season and has moved a round clubs on trial since January, why? I don't have a clue ?
  4. This season was not one of the better season's at that level and there isn't a Danny Wilson, Jamie Ness or Rhys McCabe in waiting. I think the promotion of Barrie McKay has come a wee bit early and I would say the same thing about others such as Lewis McLeod, and the three or four 17's that have done well when promoted to the 19's. The one player I thought could have made a step up, Kamil Wiktorski, has been released, so what do I know. 17′s End Season With A Win Report on tonight's game posted http://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2012/...on-with-a-win/
  5. I wish, don't think my wife would let me. Hibs at home Friday night (15's and 17's) will be best I can do, and she's not too pleased about that.

  14. Report now posted http://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2012/04/16/shootout-joy-for-youngsters/
  15. Yes, much more evenly matched and I would say we are slight favourites
  16. Celtic deserved to win, 3-0 was a bit harsh on the Rangers side. The double leg break to Paul George put a dampner on the game. When Rangers went down to ten men they were up against it, Celtic added two goals in the last seven minutes. We are miles behind Celtic at 19's, one positive was we had three 17's that played at least 45 minutes
  17. Serious Injury Overshadows Old Firm Clash Report on this morning's youth game http://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2012/04/07/serious-injury-overshadows-old-firm-clash/
  18. 17′s Overcome Dutch Visitors Report on this afternoon's game now posted http://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2012/...utch-visitors/
  19. Lewis McLeod definately has a chance, a skillful midfield player, although I think it is maybe a wee bit early, can still play at 19's next season.

  21. Youths Hit ‘Well For Six Report on today's youth game http://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2012/03/30/youths-hit-well-for-six/
  22. Just had my memory jogged. Andy Little preceded Sinclair by a couple months, so he had no input on his recruitment either. Kane Hemmings is the only player to appear in the first team that he had input in bringing to the club. Remember he has been in charge for five years and have went back evey year at youth level. I haven't jumped to a conclusion here, but was amazed he wasn't replaced when his contract was up and only highlighted his failings since then. The coaches and scouts at other clubs are laughing at us.
  23. Does Playing In Scotland Hinder Youth Development ? A wee article to provoke a discussion http://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2012/03/28/does-playing-in-scotland-hinder-youth-development/
  24. So Jimmy Sinclair says Jimmy Sinclair is doing a great job. Well I haven't heard a coach, scout or parent that would agree with him, and I am not just talking about those associated with Rangers. Of all the players mentioned the only one he had any influence in bringing to the club is Andy Little who joined from Ballinamallard, all the others were already at the club when he arrived. When asked who the next to make the break through would be he said "we are excited about some of our under 17's". I would expect a Head Of Youth doing a good job to being saying "we have exciting prospects at all age groups". We have been miles behind Hearts, Hibs and Celtic at 19's this season, last week I went to Murray Park to watch the 15's play Raith Rovers, Celtic's game was off that weeked as they EIGHT away to Italy with Scotland. Rangers were represented by our under 14's goalkeeper. As I have already mentioned before he has released 6 or 7 players in the past year he paid a fee for before the made the Youth team. That's right close to £100,000 spent on players that didn't make the YOUTH team
  25. Late Leveller For Saints Report from this morning's 17's game http://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2012/03/24/late-leveller-for-saints/
