  1. First lineup for an OF for a couple of years where I've got no qualms. I think the majority would be happy with this, which is rare for these fixtures. I'm encouraged.
  2. Thing is the team knows exactly what's coming their way. You'd hope they'd have learnt by now and are ready.
  3. Kudus is some player. He's given City a torrid time tonight.
  4. Had Mbuemo as vice. Forgot to captain Salah though, he loves bagging at OT.
  5. Not a good start for the toffee boys. Villa looking like they'll be there or there abouts for top 4 though - deserved something out of the Arsenal game too imo. Speaking of them - daft from Rice, the Brighton players did their bit surrounding the ref. I'd love to see us do that at Sharkhead tomorrow.
  6. Didn't think we'd do as well as we have on the outgoings tbh. Incomings..Diomande, Barron and Jefte all look promising which in itself is promising on the recruitment front. The squad and team age needed to come down drastically from last season and it looks like that's happened. Overall, I'd give it a 7/10. As ever with scope to go up or down in the following seasons. Agree with the above that it won't be until the window slams shut next Summer when we can properly take stock of the rebuild and recruitment under Koppen.
  7. Also I've said this to pals, might've on here too - that Sam Johnstone fee is a brilliant benchmark for us. Both the same age, England internationals. One was bombed out by Palace and the other key to teams performances last season domestically and in Europe. If Ipswich are balking at 12m for JB when Johnstone has just gone for 10m to Wolves then tell them to swivel. We're within our rights.
  8. 12m? Take it and run for the hills. Anyway, here's Kasanwirjo's p90 stats from his loan at Rapid Vienna - in a league which is broadly similar if not stronger throughout than ours. 9. Aaahhh idk. It's the great unknown isn't it. 9-10 points might but it definitely wouldn't be seeded in the knockouts. 4 wins ensures it for me, and there's a chance we'd be seeded for the knockouts on that too I reckon. Anything like 16 and we could even get top 8 - aspirational I know but we'll go out to win every match. Unless Clement gets the can after a battering on Sunday and @Sutton_blows_goats is given the job on an interim basis. Then it'll be 0-8 with Josh Gentles being linked away to Arsenal after shining in a 6-1 defeat away at Old Trafford.
  10. Kasanwirjo looks like a good signing to me. Good profile, promising stats.
  11. Whoever it was on here who said we're up against dross and it's a diddy competition needs his head caved in. That's harder than Celtics UCL group man.
  12. With how tight we are for money, a good run in this would be crucial I'd say. 0 wins from 8 and we're knackered. At this point and with our lack of assets in the squad it's the only way we'll get close to breaking even for next year's accounts. Just want to see Rangers win really
  13. You could be surprised tbf, we could get some pretty juicy games from the pot 1 and 2 sides. Decent chance we get Man U home or away.
  14. I've been laughing at this for awhile now. Brilliant.
  15. UEL draw takes place 12pm tomorrow lads. UECL and UCL take place today I think.
  16. I think in terms of outs we've done well *IF* Wright and Cantwell leave. Don't underestimate how hard trying to shift a grifter on a fat pay packet is at a football club. The ins aren't stellar but that was never the priority imo, although we should have brought in a game changer. We've shifted a fair bit of shite out of the club and we're still 3 or 4 players away from the clear out we want, that tells you how bloated our squad was last season. We can hold fire on the likes of Hagi, Tav, Lawrence and Matondo until January or the summer because like it or not (and I don't rate our depth at all) we'll need numbers this season, especially with the new European formats. And our injury record too. Beyond belief really. Never again, please.
  17. Can't say I've seen much of him, his numbers are rancid for last season though. Caveat of Sassuolo being relegated mind.
  18. I'd take 1 signing and 1 alone as long as it moved the needle for us. And for me it would be a no 10.
  19. Pretty sure we signed him for a development fee so 500k will book as a profit. With a year left I'm more than happy with that.
  20. Cantwell, Davies and Wright getting punted is pretty big for us. Would love a load of incomings but getting them shifted is great business. Had my doubts about being able to move them on tbh.
