Home tie against Livi as well, will that be in the midst of the UCL? -

I know it doesn't excuse the performance but that result yesterday looks better now! -

Went to the game and the museum after, pretty good day all in. I thought the manager did the right thing rotating personally. And a G+A for Dessers and a goal for Danilo is something we would have all taken from the match, feeling the buzz for PSV now. @BlackSocksRedTops unsure if you said you've been with your old man yet to the museum, it's brilliant mate for a good price as well. Patience bears, it will come together! -
Couldn't write it, didn't he have a clean bill before us? Shame for the lad

Hopefully young Lowry gets a start at a packed Tynecastle tonight, will be good for his development. Sportscene 19.30 if anyone wants to see how he does. -

Is a reason for that the demographic at the stadium? I'm 26 and whenever I'm at Ibrox I feel young, the average age at our place must be touching 40. In Europe and I'm guessing the Balkan groups the vast majority would be male and young as well. It's probably led to the atmospheres dying in the UK to be honest, saw something that said the average crowd age has basically grown older with the teenage/young adult generation in the 90's, basically post Taylor Report. But then I'm not getting shivved waiting for a steak pie so I can't complain ha. -

Nutters mate, hopefully there's no trouble for our fans over in Holland because they've got that streak in them. Love football but I wouldn't kill for it. -
Nah I meant the total amount since Borna's been here. I'm not talking about individual mistakes no, I'm talking about being woeful from minute one to minute 90 (or until he feels his hamstring getting tight, as is the way). I wouldn't say someone making a single mistake in a game is having a howler. Borna will have 4 or 5 games a season where he's dog shit for the full game and he's not the type to have a howling 45 and turn it around in the second, when he's shite he's f***ing shite. Also on the post about Ridvan needing an 'AWFUL' lot of work, the boy had barely turned 21 when we signed him. I don't know many full backs who peak that young and don't need coaching? Micah Richards maybe? The vast majority of defenders get better with age and game time.

I'd make 4 or 5 changes. Cantwell, Raskin, Tav, Jack and Souttar all come out for Hagi, Dowell, Sterling, Lundstram and King/Balogun. I'm going from the Livi XI not the Servette. -
Aye I agree with that, they've lost a lot of experience though so it can't be a bad thing as long as he's fit.

Went on Twitter to see Liverpool are signing the Japan captain Wataru Endō from Stuttgart. Don't know the player but seems more like a Liverpool signing than the 110m bid for Caicedo. Interesting to see if they go for someone else as well, their business recently has been a car crash.
-
Neither of them are top class by the way, but there's something to work with in Ridvan vs an ageing one trick Pony in Borna. That's when the manager has to stick or twist.
-
Aahh I can't agree sorry, purely because of the amount of shockers that Borna's had. There's been so many. Ridvans played 15 times and if he's had a howler in each of them he'd still be catching up to Borna. And that's it, people are pointing out mistakes in a friendly. Don't get it. Dani Pacheco would've won a Balon D'or at Liverpool if his form stayed true to his pre-season outings. Ridvan's 3 Assists in 15, which isn't actually that bad for someone who's a bit part essentially.

Aye it's temperamental for sure, they've tended to have more teams in the knockouts of European comps in recent seasons than the teams below them I'd say though (Portugal maybe not?). Just from recent memory. -

The Russia shout is a bit rogue like but I'd entertain Portugal and France being better (not 'much better'). No, I was going off league/Country coefficients within the UEFA rankings, I'll include the link at the bottom of this. Netherlands are 5th above France, Portugal and Belgium. Rightly or wrongly. The problem France have is that their top sides tend to bomb in Europe, I'd definitely say their league outside of the European places is stronger than the Eridivisie but the top Dutch sides perform well in Europe usually. Anyway, here's the link. You can go on club rankings and see we're a few places above PSV as well. https://www.uefa.com/nationalassociations/uefarankings/country/#/yr/2024 -
Honestly, take Ridvans Rangers career and super impose 4 or 5 assisted crosses and no one would be complaining.

Eridivisie is a top 5 league now btw, it would be huge for us and Scotland if we get past PSV. We've carried Scotlands coefficient let's be honest, just criminal we haven't won a league since UCL was automatic for first. Pull your socks up lads. -
That's the crux isn't it, Borna is useful because crosses are our main form of attack unfortunately. If we pump in 30+ crosses a game he'll get Assists just because of the law of averages, same as corners but we desperately need to move away from that. We surprised PSV last season with our buildup through the middle of the park, that won't happen this time around because we're obsessed with the edges and swinging in crosses like the players wives are hostage and they've got to meet a quota to save them. It's infuriating, ridvan won't get a look in because Borna will deliver a peach once in 20 a game essentially.

I thought we kept the energy levels throughout the team for the whole match to be fair, Servette looked spent whilst we came on strong until we changed to a back 3 and held out. Even then we had chances, encouraging I think. -
Match Thread [FT] Servette 1 - 1 Rangers (Tavernier 51)
yuddie replied to BlackSocksRedTops's topic in Rangers Chat
Had a look after the match at appearences in Europe of the squad and the bulk of the experience is exclusively coming from Goldson, Tav, Jack and Borna. Worth remembering that players like Cifuentes, Raskin, Souttar, Butland and Cantwell have barely or never played in Europe and other players like Danilo and Lammers have just over 20 appearences between them. I wouldn't be too harsh on this team, the more games they play at this level the better they'll get. We can slaughter them for getting mugged by Killie right enough. -
Went for Butland, was a Rangers keeper performance and he'll only get better with game time. Raskin is a fair shout, he was like a scrapping bull terrier in that second half.

A big difference between last and this season is our build up play from back to midfield, we were far better playing into the centre of the pitch under Gio and it surprised PSV at Ibrox I think. We're getting there with the combinations though, there was some really good passages of play today when Servette were committed which is encouraging. -

Nah I'd be screwing if my club did that, Liverpool fans have been crying for revenge every time they've played Real and been schooled every time. Swerve it. -
