yuddie replied to BlackSocksRedTops's topic in Rangers Chat
McInnes in the studio tonight. Read anything into that? -

Would rate the 4-4-2, if you're going to have 2 games as a Rangers manager why not throwback? It is Thursday after all. -

Aye seconded. -
Just don't think Gerrard or Beale had a clue as to how to use him. Or was shite scared of deviating from ye olde reliable (🤔) in Morelos. We're seeing that now with Tav, Devine and Sterling methinks.

Jeez that's a young bench. About as much as Davo could do I think. Good to see Raskin, hopefully a big performance from Jack in goals. -

Fuck it I'll answer: out of Lampard and McInnes I'd probably go McInnes - with the proviso that it's until the end of the season and Davis stays on his staff. Lampard is an average manager who's done fuck all to warrant the jobs he's got, imo. The only reason I'd have McInnes is because he has a bank of good work in the league (imo) we're in and knows the club and it's expectations. I'd still be devastated if McInnes was appointed mind. -

Relative to other managers in our history I should add. -

Beale and Gio did this for the most part. We still chased them out though. I agree with both sackings but still, both their records against the rest domestically were exemplary. Problem is they shat it v Celtic. -
Probably on a similar level to Betis that Lazio side. What's funny is they were dead set on getting out of the group and making their mark in Europe - McGregor talking about a final. Put in the yards first lads, you've done fuck all for years in Europe. And we've done fuck all for years in Scotland unfortunately..

Grim to see what feyenoord are doing to Atleti in Madrid rn vs what we're doing this season. We were the better side over both games a couple of seasons back. There's a few teams we've pumped in recent seasons doing bits in the UCL this season. Galatasary just won at OT ffs.

That's fair, still a bit weird considering Davis won the lot under him and Walter. -

Don't get me wrong though, that presser slaughtering Ntcham and his boards recruitment was one of the best things I've seen. -

Would also probably want about £5m a year. -

Btw, Ally endorsing Lampard before Steven Davis is a bit strange don't you think? He's either on strings or still has an axe to grind (which I still think he has even after all these years after leaving). -

Aye I agree, that's why I said I want experience and success in charge. It was more a point about what he's done for us and wanting him to do it rather than actually WANTING him to do it. If you catch my drift. -

Lads, I know it's a shitshow atm and Davo shouldn't be in charge - but I just can't help thinking/feeling like he could do the job? Born out of him being the only player post Murty who hasn't let the club down, that's before you include his first spell at the club. I can't be the only one who has a smidgeon of 'god I wish he could do it!'. Too early most would say and I agree, but still. Great player, great man..would love him to succeed but I want experience and success in charge atm. Maybe in the future eh? -

Rangers I beg of you, not Lampard. Please. -
Intrigued to see what all the hype is about with this Galatasary team.
-
Can't lie, the Muscat propaganda is wearing me down a wee bit...
-
As in if we had a head coach of the B team in the Championship with a shared ethos with the first team - which I think is what the club would want, he'd be an ideal interim until we found a successor. Better yet, he might even be the successor. A la Guardiola, Zidane (Jansen?) etc. Bugbear of mine.
-
Just an aside, if the B teams had been in the lower leagues (up to the championship) for the last 10 years then we'd be a lot calmer about the situation. Rangers bad though.
-
Can't say I'm familiar with Clement. If he comes in and we focus on youth (academy and outside prospects) then that would be interesting.
