Let's have it right though, tapping up is pretty much staple for clubs now compared to even 10 years ago. Except now instead of meeting a player at a premier Inn you sound out there agent and have talks - blurred lines compared to what used to be tapping up.

The press will get better btw, might take a few months but it will get tighter and more co-ordinated I'm sure. One of the toughest things to coach by all accounts so it should take time.

Our record for picking up Scottish talent is f***ing abysmal since Gerrard. Ross Stewart another one, you can't convince me otherwise that he wouldn't get 20 goals all comps a season for us, Shankland and Nisbet too.

I get what you're saying and I'm not being funny when I say that I hope that we've had something to play for every game this season, for opportunities like this more than anything..or to preferably be top and stretching a lead. Hopefully Clement takes the angst away from the team in the build up and they play it like they would any other under him.

Not sure what Lammers has done to start 3 on the bounce if he starts tomorrow - him, Wright and Barisic come out for Cantwell, McCausland and Ridvan from last week's XI for me. It's been pragmatic lineups from Clement so far so I don't expect it.

I'd still want to see McCausland for this game tbh.

Went for Souttar, thought he defended really well in the second half particularly. Butland and Sima the other two runners I think, Sima for his work ethic and Butland for the saves and handling, sweeping that people have glossed over.

Aye that's fair, although McGregor was a hologram in his last season. What i will say is that the difference between Butland and past Rangers goalies is that he's happy to claim crosses and sweep up outside his area and be good at it too, add in that he's an excellent shot stopper and you've got a modern 'Rangers Goalie'. Butlands distribution can be a bit hit and miss but its not bad per se. That's not just aimed at McGregor either.
