Went for Danilo, intelligent in the press and brilliant in and around the box. Davies the other contender for me. Wee mention for young McCausland, I thought he was brilliant when he came on, and to answer @JohnMc's question from another thread as to what can we do other than play Lammers at 10 - based on last night Cantwell at 10 and McCausland at RW is viable for Livi no?

I'm sorry, I'm willing the boy to kick on but I just don't see it with Lammers? Unless someone can show me his metrics and convince me that he's playing well? He's decent at regains in the final third and that's probably why he's starting every game under this manager but outside that... -

Elite winding down of the clock at the end there. Jack Butland is some keeper eh! Beat Livi and we can all take a breath lads, some of them need that because they looked absolute fucked on their feet in the last 20. Onwards. -

I just think the teams spent tbh, it's been non stop for a few weeks. On some dire pitches too. -

I think Sima's been a good outball tbf, his passing has been hit and miss though. -

I respect the pp change mate, hope I'm not speaking out of turn. I'll be at a service on Sunday with the old man. It's why I have a falklands flag on my socials - a lot don't like it but it raises awareness at least, no wars ever good for veterans. -

Don't mind it, would've preferred McCausland on the right tbh. How many is that on the bounce for Lammers though? Hopefully tonight he kicks on and has a worldie. -

We do have a brilliant record at home tbf, malmo being the only team in ucl qualifiers to beat us at Ibrox in that time too if I'm not mistaken? On tonight I'd start Souttar if fit next to Goldson in place of Balogun, McCausland at RW and Cantwell in the no.10 as the only changes from Sunday. As my preferred. Got a good feeling about tonight, Ibrox will be bang up for it judging by the discourse all week. C'mon lads! -

Aye SAF said in his interview that he served an apprenticeship whilst he was playing, a toolmaker iirc? -

I know but the percentage of kids who actually turn pro and are 'made financially' compared to the percentage of kids who are eligible, through grades, scholarships etc, to go to uni is like night and day. How many pro clubs are there in Scotland? 20 odd? And 80% of those won't be offering more than a couple of grand a week. -
Idk if it's an unpopular view but the HoF should be open to non-players like Tiny and Jimmy Bell imo. But then you open a can of worms...

We're also not normal in that we have 15x the budget and better facilities than 10/11 of the other teams in the league...is it tougher to blood a young player when you're fighting for survival or when you're dominant in all facets of the game in pretty much every gameday bar 4? -

Considering we have (or should) a monopoly on young Scottish talent and that we're only really competing with one other team domestically - the fact that we don't produce first team players regularly is pretty embarrassing. It'll never happen but we geniunely could replicate what Ajax do in the Netherlands and probably find it easier to do so with the lack of competition in our league and resources of the clubs outside the OF. I agree with @JohnMc above, not that it should be scrapped, but it just boggles my mind that the club is dead set on being sustainable (as it should) yet we just don't give young players chances. Or sign young Scottish talent. Am I being a bit thick when I say that's it's a proverbial tap in? And I don't mean start games with 4 or 5 teenagers btw, ideally we would have signed players like Josh Doig and Lewis Ferguson supplemented by players like McCausland and Rice. It's not even that radical?! -
Forgive me for my rudimentary know how but surely the club could secure a loan off the back of the new season tickets available? I'm no expert so please tell me if I'm being simple but if we fully fill in the corners and lower the pitch to add 6 rows on each stand - roughly 10k say, could you use that to secure the loan? The cheapest ST's we have are £500 more or less, you'd pay off a £50m loan in a decade and won't have to cut costs?

Pumped off of Ateltico... You don't go from routinely being beat gameday after gameday in Europe for years (in all 3 comps) to then making a final, or have I missed something? Looking back Seville was coming for us, we qualified, then made it out the group, then topped the group and then made a final with last 16 appearences back to back - they've got fuck all suggesting they'll even make a ko stage. Hilarious.
-
20k seats? Won't happen. If they came out and said 10k total by filling in the corners and lowering the pitch in gradual stages then that would be half believable - you could feasibly get a loan for that. That's what I think they mean, it's probably been misconstrued.

Has anyone been to the fans forum tonight? Apparently the finances for the last year is coming out in the next week or two and that we've made profit for the second season in a row, let's see eh. I'll include the 4lads notes, I rate what Stevie does and he's usually pretty reasonable with his views. Here it is anyways...

I agree mate, the lower leagues was the chance to reset but the management (on and off the pitch) were scared stiff of even attempting to focus on young domestic and academy talent..it's a big bug bear of mine. -

Ngl I'm getting a bit of a 'all fart and no shite' vibe with our academy atm, if you're going to poach top candidates from Belgium to work in our setup but give none of our players in our academy !!SUBSTANTIAL!! minutes then what's the point? We get no help from our national association granted but it shouldn't be this difficult. You just can't tell me that we've had a team of young duds for the last 5 years? Kinell, I'm English and it's pissing me off that Rangers can't produce their own. Look at the women's team for example, 7 call ups in the last intl break to the Scotland squad and building the team around young shoulders. Rant over ha. -
Apologies for leading on with the topic title but I'm assuming that they're due this week with it being around this time last year that they came out? Would I be right in saying that the Calvin Bassey transfer fee would be included as well as UCL qualification money? What are we expecting? I'm not an accountant or expert but I care about the clubs financial state especially post 2012. Does anyone know if they're due soon? Cheers.

We've won 13 games to Celtics 10 in all comps btw and that's including 5 defeats and 3 in the league. I'd love to know when the last season was that they won more games than us in a season, it must be pre Gerrard surely? Might be Ange's second title win right enough.
