  1. That I've watched would be Weir, as a player I didn't see play would be Gough. There's a chance Goldson beats McGregors European record so he's not out of place as a mention - probably wouldn't make my top 5 though.
  2. Flani Alves? Kidding, I can just about recall Numan so he'd be my vote. In fairness to Borna when he got into the team under Gerrard and the 2/3 seasons under him that he was a fixture he was a quality left back - he was getting caps for an excellent Croatia side btw - but post Gerrard that's when we started to see him bottle it at parkhead and in big games regularly, before that he was pretty tough. I can understand if someone said Borna to a degree but there's too much baggage latterly with him for me, Numan is my vote as I say.
  3. I think it's £200k operating profit - £4m loss after taxes? Not sure though.
  4. I started following the team during the Eck era so I caught the back end of Klos and the start of McGregor.... Would it be fair to say that between Goram, Klos and McGregor all three of them had an extended dip at some point before a resurgence in form? Some might have even had a second dip too. I'll get slaughtered for this but outside of his shot stopping (a key component right enough, where he was world class) McGregor was a middling keeper at best, e.g. ball at his feet, sweeping up (non existent) and claiming crosses (non existent). Let's not pretend like he came through whilst the pass back rule was still in play either. For me it's Goram, similar attributes to the other two but a higher peak - albeit I haven't seen him live. I will say it and I'm sure I'll get fans shouting me down but whilst he's nowhere near contention atm, as an all round keeper - e.g. ball at his feet (both feet), sweeping, claiming crosses and shot stopping Jack Butland is probably the best talent we've had across all facets. A long way to go of course but as an overall talent we haven't had one like him imo.
  5. We are all besotted with Butland and Sima was on fire for a few weeks but would I be wrong in saying Connor Goldson has been our most consistent outfield performer this season? We're racking up the clean sheets in all comps so I thought I'd delve into his stats... Total duels won 5.6 (72%) Ground duels won 2.9 (80%) Aerial duels won 2.7 (65%) Interceptions per game 0.2 Tackles per game 1.5 Possession won 0.1 Balls recovered per game 7.7 Dribbled past per game 0.2 Clearances per game 2.5 Error led to shot 0 Error led to goal 0 Penalties committed 0 I'll add the same stats from season 55... Interceptions per game 0.9 Tackles per game 1.3 Possession won 0.0 Dribbled past per game 0.2 Clearances per game 3.0 Error led to shot 1 Error led to goal 0 Penalties committed 0 Total duels won 6.8 (71%) Ground duels won 2.5 (68%) Aerial duels won 4.2 (72%) Of course there's the eye test but I think another couple of weeks of these types of performances and we can say that Connor is back to his best. Tell me what you think anyways. Cheers.
  6. Went for McCausland - looked lively and proactive in the final third throughout and the game suffered a bit when he came off. Robbed of a goal too. Lawrence the other contender for me, for his first start in over a year that was a pretty decent performance.
  7. Idk if it's been picked up yet but I thought that little interaction between Jack Butland and the Livi mascot was a touch of class - little things like that go a long way. It's a big occasion for these kids, a little conversation and engagement does wonders.
  8. The second half wasn't great though, although considering we played Thursday, and the surface (I know) it's understandable. Still good to be that comfortable after making changes. They didn't have a sniff, if we keep up our recent defensive record in the league we'll have a chance imo. Great lads.
  9. Dominated from start to finish and probably should've scored more. Happy with that.
  10. The managers probably going spare watching this last 10 mins
  11. McCausland can be proud of his performance in his first start - robbed of a goal and played as good as anyone else on the park.
  12. I thought the Goldson goal was the right decision but the McCausland one was baffling? Even fucking Chris Sutton thinks it should of stood. More of the same lads, add a couple more, keep the clean sheet and up the road. We've defended brilliantly so far.
  13. Boys been robbed of his first goal.
  14. Respectfully, that's bollocks.
  15. Even with Livi playing Brutalist football we've been dominant throughout. McCausland has looked like a seasoned pro out there!
  16. I think there's contact tbf, not much mind
  17. This would make your eyes bleed.
  18. Brilliant display and silence.
  19. Aye I'm chuffed to see McCausland from the start, hopefully Dessers can get on the end of some of his passes today. Hopefully we persist with the ball on the deck too (Borna ahem), Livi eat up our deep crosses like starving dogs. C'mon lads!
  20. Our performance in Dundee looking pretty decent tonight - they're a v good side in the league at Dens Park.
  21. You've got to respect what Dyche is doing at Everton tbf, absolute binfire off the pitch but he's got them playing pretty well. They'll finish mid table no problem. He was brought in because he can work with constraints right enough but that doesn't mean you can't give him credit when he does and does it well.
  22. Would love it if young Ross gets a start tomorrow, Jack needs to come out as well given his workload and the surface at Livi. Maybe Cifu coming in for him? And Ridvan for Borna, so: Butland Tav Goldson Davies Ridvan Cifu Lundstram McCausland Cantwell Sima Danilo That's my preffered, I'd be shocked if it came through though ha.
  23. Just on scottish talent and young players, I'm following the scores and Josh Campbell has scored for hibs again - he'll be 24 at the end of the season...would you start a dialogue? I get Lewis Ferguson vibes with him tbh. And I'd have taken him btw. What you reckon? Cheers.
  24. Aye I think that will come with in-game experience, whether he'll get it is another thing entirely... He's got a good manager to learn from though imo - he's used him well so far, a start here and there and sub appearences is probably the aim for the rest of the season. It's chocker in December so he'll need to be ready.
  25. I think we're starting to reap the rewards of the campaigns from the last few years, another 3/4 seasons and we'll be laughing with our 10 year coefficient. I'll include a link to our points/rankings. https://www.football-coefficient.eu/team/322-rangers-fc/
