12 games in 37 days will define the season
yuddie replied to Tannochsidebear's topic in Rangers Chat
I think I said on another thread that if we make it past the game at Parkhead unbeaten domestically (+ LC win) then we'll win the league. The only reason I think that wouldn't happen and we do go unbeaten in this time is our medical department and the players injury records (mentality?), to put it bluntly. It also hinges on us signing a striker in January, I was a Shankland doubter but signing him in January whilst Danilo is crocked is pretty much a priority now and I'd suggest it would give us impetus in the title race. Of the 8 league games we've got up to Parkhead since the last intl break we're unbeaten in 4 and have won all but one (Aberdeen (a)), i.e we're halfway to the target. It's a miracle that we're still in this tbh. Come all ye faithful and back the players, they haven't warranted the support but they won't win this league on their own. Cheers. -
Just watched the game - pretty happy all told outside of the first 10. Dessers has been panned but tbf to the man, he does score goals at a decent enough rate. I'd like to say he could do for us what Billy Dodds did when I was a toddler but alas, the teams half as good. Although I would say that there was less pressure (imo) on Dodds at the time due to the first choice strikers we had. Or am I just spouting shite? Idk Get in Rangers though!

We probably need to kick around the idea that Butland is the best player in the league, best keeper is damning him with faint praise. 82% save rate so far this season. Alisson in the prem has 80% and is regarded as the world's best (rightly so). Regardless of level that's elite.

Just need to dog this out now lads, show some heart!
-
We're playing like a route one and get rid tactic on football manager being brought to life. Fucking horrendous.
-
Hearts will feel obliged as they always do at their place to attack us with everything they have so we'll have opportunities in transition. Our recent record at Tynecastle gives me confidence in a squad that has a propensity to shit the bed. I just want to see the lads win their battles tonight, I know it's an old da shout but it rings true; win your battles and the quality will shine through. With Jack in goal we'll always be in it at least. Mon lads, make the fans happy tonight.

Rangers announce winter friendly against FC Copenhagen
yuddie replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
You are taking the piss with this aren't you? Do you not see this as Clement wanting a good opponent to work with the team during the winter break? Having a bounce match during the winter break isn't revolutionary like, even less so when you've got a new manager who's still assessing the squad. If I've bitten then fair play, if not and you're sincere than that's just baffling. -

I would say the vast majority wanted him gone pronto at the end of the season aye. That same vast majority would want him back instead of Dessers. -

He was also the only player in our squad capable of putting down contributions consistently domestically when we sold him. Chasing Sakala and wanting to sign Sima for more than we sold the former is just wild to me. That's the opposite of the trading model working well. The only positive if that happens is that Sima still has years of development. -

Said this the other day, idk where the patience for Sima was for Sakala. He's basically Fashion if he was 6'2. Fashion was probably more consistent with his scoring and assisting I'd say - if you look at his contributions to minutes played for us domestically it's actually excellent. The board and fans chasing him out the door and then bringing in Dessers and Lammers is looking braindead. -
Voted McCausland as I thought he was the only one consistently playing forward and injecting pace. On the flip side, I thought Balogun looked very leggy..he was burned a few times by the St Mirren attackers.
-
Aye it's a farce. If I purchase a seat on seatsub the person who's ticket I'm using gets the credit and points but I don't? It's that fucking brazen it's almost admirable.
-
I'd rather ban the Legacy tickets than the drums tbh, but I'm saying that as someone on the waiting list.

Better in the second, thought McCausland was at the heart of most of what we did well. Cantwell did enough to warrant a start at 10 in the next game too imo. Butland as solid as ever. Lovely clean sheet. I'd take that performance and result at Hearts right now. -

Ross McCausland looks like he can make it with Rangers, always progressive. He's been good so far. We've reverted back to crosses and long balls up until about 35 when we got it on the deck and trusted ourselves to play. Big Jack in goal solid as ever. Mon lads, get another couple. -
Three players that have been told they can leave in Jan
yuddie replied to Bluedell's topic in Rangers Chat
Same as not signing Stewart when he was at County or Nisbet/Shankland before they got their moves to Hibs/Dundee Utd. The fact that Nisbet got 47 in 59 in the championship over 2 seasons and Shankland got 50 in 61 in 2 seasons for Ayr and we didn't go for either of them baffles me to this day. At a time when we were worse off financially than we are now. Bizarre. Morelos really had our board by the balls. -

Seconded. -

Ngl with all the histrionics that comes with Cantwell, if we were offered anything like £5m in January or the summer I'd punt him. There's been players in the past for this club who should've been backed in the face of tough management, I'm sorry but Cantwell isn't one of them. He just isn't worth driving a wedge between the fans and manager over. -

I know but that's as bad a sub appearence as I can recall. He was worse actively worse than Lammers imo. -

It'll go under the radar but Tom Lawrence has been stinking since coming on. This is horrendous. -

Ross McCausland is putting these 'senior' pros to shame tonight. -

I'm sorry lads but Abdallah Sima is what Fashion Sakala would be if he was 4 inches taller. -

Idk if it's any consolation but for the first 20 we were winning our battles I felt and exerting pressure. After that it got very scrappy and Limassol bypassed our midfield too easily. Danilo is doing God's work with what we're sending up to him btw. -

I'm sure this will be a dog whistle to @CammyF but Sam Lammers is dog shit. He's plays like a fart in a colander. Although I'm not really arsed who came off between him, Cantwell and Cifuentes. This teams ability to shit the bed when there's something worth playing for never ceases to amaze eh.
