  1. I like to think the wee man has his middle fingers up under the scarf.
  2. Cortés has got a strong lower body by the looks of it. His thighs and calves are pretty beefy. Idk if that's a strange takeaway, I like to see what the new players look like physically..he looks explosive, like a sprinter.
  3. Aye that's fair mate, the thinking was that Raskins had a week recovery and still needs rhythm. Could see the manager playing Sterling right enough, just not at left bloody wing please haha.
  4. Looking forward to it, the lads have had a full week so hopefully we see some zip in the passing and movement. Butland Tav Souttar Balogun Ridvan Lundstram Raskin McCausland Cantwell Matondo Dessers That's my PREFERRED, predicted would probably include Goldson and Silva. Personally I think Goldson isn't playing well at all and we need Matondo's pace otherwise we're reliant on Ross' legs. Cortes and Silva to come off the bench would be great to see also, add in Jack and Lawrence and you've got something promising if you want to change/kill a game. Let's go lads! Clean sheet and a few goals before 60 would make a nice change against Livi, let's not rely on subs eh.
  5. Broadly speaking, I thought it was a good window with the caveat of the non signing of a striker. If Clement isn't losing his rag then I don't see the point in me doing so. I'd give it a 7/10 initially, as ever it can look better or worse in a years time. The young players we're signing is encouraging though.
  6. Dyche will be sweating a wee bit, the galvanising hasn't transpired with his players yet. Fully expecting City to pump Burnley tonight, I'm thinking by 5 or 6.
  7. We were all pleased when he signed on here if iirc, for the most part at least.
  8. The point of the player trading model is to sell for profit and then bring in a player who can replace the one outgoing in terms of quality or better him to then flip for a greater sum. Honestly, we'll only downgrade if we sell Butland this and any window. 81.1% Save percentage in the league (fbref) over 22 games is ridiculous - and it's not like he's pulling off wonder saves and playing out of his skin (McGregor 55) everything is calm and commanding. He's also the most 2 footed keeper I've seen play in Scotland which people don't appreciate. We could geniunely build a dominant Rangers side on his (and Clements) shoulders, he's the one player I'd say is just not worth selling. Sort out a good striker whilst you've got a good keeper and you're laughing, selling your good keeper while you still haven't got a good striker is moronic.
  9. Watched the first couple of rounds in the group stages but haven't watched since until the shoot out last night. I've always thought an African nation has the potential to win a WC with the amount of talent that comes out of the continent and plays in the top leagues, Mourinho says the same and he pretty much solely plays with African strikers or strikers of African descent. Even recently you could've had players like Kante, Pogba and Benzema playing for African nations, never mind older generations like Vieira and Zidane. Alas, the corruption is rife and the money isn't getting funnelled down to grassroots level. Shame really.
  10. He's been pretty reliable with our Belgian deals in the past so I'd believe him tbf.
  11. We've been looking at Cuypers apparently. Prolific and coming into his prime. He won't be joining supposedly but it's good to see we're profiling strikers who actually have a recent track record of scoring goals.
  12. Souttar for me, stout defending in tricky conditions. Lundstram and Yilmaz the other contenders. Butland solid as ever.
  13. I thought Souttar was immense today btw, the best defender at defending at the club. I'd want him as our starting RCB tbh, especially if we bring in a ball playing LCB but that's me.
  14. That was properly chips and hame in the last 10 minutes in that wind. Another clean sheet away from home which is brilliant. Take that.
  15. Aye, idk about that tbh.
  16. The conditions look ridiculous btw, the players look like they're second guessing every pass with the wind.
  17. Pot shots and crosses atm.
  18. Nice one Cyriel! Loving the probing we're doing, break the lines into midfield and play through the last line. This is the intent Clement wants. Great stuff.
  19. Sterling playing wide right when Cantwell and Wright both have experience playing on the wings would be wild right enough.
  20. McCausland needed a bit of a rest and Dessers and Sterling probably deserve a run out too. Hopefully we see Raskin pushed higher up. Don't mind it too much, hopefully we get the win and another 0!
  21. Seen clips of him, looks a couple of inches taller than that tbh.
  22. Just waiting for some breakdowns on socials/online now to see what we're getting. Cypriot (?) football seems to be throwing up some decent talents in fairness. Oh, and he's Brazilian!
  23. For the big moments and the butterfly effect that ensued/could ensue, Butland gets my vote. Probably one of the best free signings the clubs ever made.
  24. Go well Steven
