If that's the case then we should make a bee line for the other Souttar. -

Here's his Prem sample, albeit with about 5 games played in total mins: With the caveat that it's such a short sample, pretty impressive I'd say. -

Just looked at his p90's for Copenhagen: Passing at the top. Just over 11 games played worth of minutes - seems solid enough defensively and tidy on the ball. Problem I have is that he'd have to be a starter on his wages. Unless we go 3 at the back - I think he'd be a good middle man. -

Should think our previous with Bayern and the Tillman deal would help us with this one, especially if we're pursuing a loan to buy. -

If we get 2m+ from Saudi for players with 2 years left and on the thick end of 40k a week I'd be greeting tbf. Agree with the sentiment though. -

Looking at this I'd say we need a: RW CF RCB LCB (X2?) CM RB GK If we can all agree that Souttar and Balogun are both naturally RCB's then I think we should try and bring in a first team signing for that berth. I've half a mind towards keeping Davies especially if we're changing to a back 3. Otherwise we're going to have to go out and sign 2 LCB at least. Possible Signings (Linked): RW - Traore CF - Rrahmani/Shankland LCB (X2) - Galdames/McNair CM - Garcia/Barron RCB - ?? Unsure, haven't seen links RB - Johnson/Walters GK - Kelly Pretty rudimentary and most of those won't sign but it gives an idea of what the club are looking for. Also I'm pretty sure Cortés was on the left for us when he played, might be wrong though. -

Butland, Balogun and Souttar probably. I'd move Sterling into it too tbh. -

I'm on my knees for that to be true. Anything like 10m+ for those two and we're laughing. -

All of these links to players who can play various positions makes me think that we're taking the injury crisis seriously and we're binning the specialists in the squad. If you have a core of 5/6 players who can play 2 or 3 positions then you're far stronger than if you haven't. Case in point being Guardiola's City. It's how he can rinse the same 15/16 players all season - they're all interchangeable. That and the needles, probably. It's encouraging imo. You can see what we're doing with these rumours. -

Aye but just from what I heard from my bluenose mates - they thought he was brilliant. Sanderson not as effusive. -

I'll be honest - I thought he was good when he played for us, I didn't think he was great though which seems to be the general feeling towards him. If he can get anything like 20-25 G/A next season then we're laughing right enough. A good, well thought out transfer that could reap rewards down the line. Koppen seems to be switched on. -

Sensible Transfers: Rangers. -
Aye I'm hoping to get to the Birmingham City friendly as it's local. The team need an intensive camp somewhere so I'm guessing we'll have a bounce match at the end of it. Or not, I might be talking shite.

Cruel disease. Him and Doddie were better men than me.

I travel up to Govan once or twice a month from Birmingham to see the team and enjoy it every time, even if the games a disappointment. I've been doing it since '18 and even in that time you can see how much investment has gone into refurbing the stadium and it's footprint. Not to mention Edmiston House and the work at Auchenhowie. Maybe it's just a sign of getting older but I find myself delving deeper into football finance and capital projects, especially Rangers - which I think we all share a close interest in given what's gone before. Maybe a 60k+ Ibrox is wishful thinking in the short term but the continual TLC of our infrastructure is needed and wanted - I'd say it's a priority but there's fans who just want to pump every dime we have into the first team. This is a thought piece and musing more than anything, I love Ibrox and want it to be the best it can be - a good home is generally a sign of stability in sport and in life, you just have to look at the state of Old Trafford and UTD's current woes to see how it can reflect the struggles of a club. What do you make of the new licks of paint (😉) at Ibrox? For me it can only be a positive sign and an indicator that the club have short, medium and long terms plans that are being delivered (off the park). I'll add that I'm looking forward to seeing the Walter Statue. The craftsmanship looks incredible and will be a point of conversation for generations young and old when they go to the game. Cheers lads.

Inevitable man.

You have to score when on top against Madrid. Dortmund have played well enough to lead so far, they might rue missing those opportunities.
-
Dortmund started well. Means sweet FA though against Real.

Galdames has been quoted as saying he's most comfortable at CB. Even so, he'll be useful at LB when our new Brazilian tears his knee apart on Kilmarnocks pitch on matchday 1.
