The amount of teams that have come into the tournament on an unbeaten streak probably speaks to how forgiving the qualification process is, or just intl football in general. It's why I think the nations league is a really good concept because it will find you out regardless of level. As we (England) found out getting relegated.

Enjoy it mate, Union seem like a brilliant fanbase and I love their story.
-
Apologies, Grant Hanley is a fine replacement.
-
Aye it's a shame for the bears who've gone over to see their national team - outside of that I've little sympathy. Still, I'd rather Scotland got out of that group than Hungary or Switzerland. Not sure how you'll do that without Porteous though!
-
Musiala is brilliant to watch though.
-
Mad challenge, he's cleared it with his right and went studs up with his left 4 yards out from goal. You'd think he'd learn.
-
Steve Clarks Scotland lads. Launching it for the first five minutes whilst throwing elbows and celebrating conceding throw ins. He's basically a Caledonian Sean Dyche. And that's being harsh on Dyche. Blood, Snot and Beers.
-
Germany or Scotland, idk which I want to win in all honesty. Probably Germany, Steve Clark is a hypocrite. Best of luck lads!

I'd have Germany, Portugal and France all ahead of England as favourites. Something has to give eventually with this generation of England players considering how the younger age groups for England have been winning tournaments regularly for the last decade. Although I will admit, this crop are far more likeable than the 'Golden Generation' I grew up with. Controversial opinion...if Southgate goes after this tournament I'd bring in Poch. Argie or not, he has a great track record of developing English talent and implements a good style. There is the question over his propensity to dodge trophies albeit.

The Summer 2024 Rangers Transfer Window Rumours and Deals - Thread
yuddie replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
Aye, we didn't buy him but wasn't Ramsey crocked when we signed him on loan? Looking back that's a signing driven by ego. Hopefully Koppen won't do the same. Terrible, terrible business. -

Aye I've been meaning to say this for awhile - too many people run their mouths and are seemingly ITK about our dealings. We will never disclose the transfer fee yet we see them coming months down the line - I'd rather that be the other way round. Jefte and Cordoba were way too public for my liking. A few chancers in and around the club methinks. -

Aye I'd like a Galdames or Souttar to come in as a senior LCB though. Pleased to have the bulk of the signings be young but one or two experienced players would be good (doesn't mean old!). -

Lads d'yer reckon you could do a thread on this? It's a good read. @compoisn't far wrong in pining for ye olde game, nothings new now it's just tweaked. Case in point being the WM Hungary deployed that's so common now. Heck, teams defending in a 4-4-2 is pretty standard practice at the top level - people scoffed at that 'formation' in the late 90's for lacking imagination. As an aside to that, defending will always win you leagues which is why you've seen Arteta and Guardiola be more pragmatic in their shapes this season whilst the rest of England has just decided to wing it at the back. Our title challenge this season collapsed as soon as our defence did - if we maintained our form in defending pre Motherwell to the end we'd have pissed the league. Hopefully Clement agrees and goes back to being solid first and foremost - the game at Hampden makes me think he will. Bit of a tangent haha. -
Walter Smith Statue To Be Unveiled Before Scottish Cup Final

Aaahh apologies lads, it was a limited number. I was probably a wee bit slow in firing in the link. Great support as always from the bears though. -

True to an extent but it's picked up a lot more since they won imo. -

Hope this is the thread on the Walter Statue. A few commemorative programmes for the unveiling are available for £5, all the proceeds go to the RFC foundation. Just as an aside, it is mad how many Tim's come out of the woodwork when the league is won. You geniunely don't hear a peep during the season. The comments on that post are baffling. Anyways, I've bought the programme..feel free to do the same. Cheers. -

In fairness, I could understand the argument if someone said we should try and sign Miovski with McCrorie going the other way for what we're putting down for Rrahmani. As is though, it's the type of profile we should be targeting. -

Just a shade over 5m in gbp. If Lammers is lined up to go then I'd say it makes sense. Hagi's just handed in his notice by all accounts so that'll be a few bob towards it too. Spread the cost out over a 4/5 year deal and it's doable imo. Boehly style. -
A big one for me as a kid was Calzaghe actually. Brilliant boxer who came back twice as hard when his arse touched the canvas.

Additional 20 Premiership games on TV next season
yuddie replied to stewarty's topic in General Football Chat
Purely from a selfish point of view, I'd be okay with this if it meant some earlier kick offs at Ibrox. 3pms are getting rarer and rarer and 12.30's in Govan outwith the OF are pretty much non-existent. It would do me favours in terms of travelling up and back, probably the same for the NI crowd as well. That's the only silver lining though, the money is dire and so is the product.
