  1. Get his hand wrapped then. Or is that purely just a southamericanattacker/dangermanforajobberteam thing?
  2. Had to do 2. By the looks of it the other forward is off on loan too so he'll need replaced.
  3. He's our Adama Traore I fear. But hopefully like Adama Traore, a manager will look at him and delude himself into thinking he can refine his raw ability.
  4. Shat it and brought in Salah.
  5. Didn't think he played that well in the LC final but he ran Aberdeens fullback ragged watching it back. Him and McCausland were a nice dynamic on the wings imo. Ones an atheltic beast whilst the other is a wee proactive technician. The dink at the weekend tells you all you need to know about Ross's technical ability.
  6. Saw a St Mirren fan saying Gillespie will be a big loss. Their manager sang his praises regularly too. The more you hear about him and look into his record, the more you see it makes sense imo. Still, it's a big step up and a mess at the club atm - if he gets us to sustainability, sorts out the trading model and academy and gets our commercials/revenues booming then I'm all for it. But of course, silverware will help with all that - that means putting a good structure and support network in place for the football management and playing staff. Starting with recruiting and sticking with an Academy Director.
  7. Went for Jefte. If we develop him properly we'll make a tidy sum on him. Hopefully he wins things before then. Barron and McCausland were probably the real reason we got a comfortable win in the end though.
  8. You know, I don't think we're as bad as people make out. Not 3rd place bad anyway - that's 70 point territory. We're not 90+ either. Probably between 80-85. But if we get a good wind behind us...
  9. I named mine after Luis Suarez.
  10. Jobsworth ref robbing me of 2 goalscorers. Tbh I thought I bombed on 34. Need a 0-0 bore draw later though!
  11. He has a bizarre reluctance to do it though - the amount of times you want him to leg someone for him to stop or cut inside is strange for someone that rapid. The Man City education has caused that imo.
  12. I'll be honest, I thought Matondo was poor as well. He can run fast with and without the ball, that's it. And that's all he did tonight really.
  13. Probably want to wait until 5/8 domestic games are played though for a better avg.
  14. Right, by my reckoning we've got a xGD of 1.24 for domestic games so far. We want to push towards 1.50 if we have aspirations of the title and any cups.
  15. Best I could do on the xG front was footy stats which had us at 3.09 and St Johnstone at 1.21. Not sure where they'd have got that from though.
  16. Oh aye I meant outsiders. We've got a brilliant songbook but it's scrutinised to high heaven. Even by our own at times. Ibroxonia with the UB in the Copland is going to be some experience. Hopefully we get a big European game for it. We get 2 pot 1 teams in the group phase of the new revamped UEL so hopefully we get in for one of those and it's a big name. If not I'd take a Semi! Always a buzz after coming up to see the team.
  17. Loved it mate. Partial to those types of songs, most want them gone though.
  18. Celebrations are fine btw, 20k in Hampden and the UB didn't stop. Good management from Clement imo.
  19. Pretty pleased with that in the end. Could've scored 4 or 5 and limited them to one (I think) big chance. Do that every week and you're building towards success. Steady! Jefte brilliant, Barron has to be a fixture and Clement seriously needs to look at McCausland off the left. Amazing the power of these project players eh @CammyF 😜
  20. What a finish that is. Been brilliant since he's come on the wee man.
  21. Right, purely on the numbers the manager will be pretty content with today's game (result pending!). And I'd understand why. We've created enough chances to be 3 or 4 up bar poor finishing and we've limited STJ to crumbs defensively apart from a crack from distance that hit the post. The eye test would tell you that we're ropey defensively and sloppy in attack though. We've done enough today to win 90% of games in any league. We need to stop stopping when we score though and bury teams. We just aren't good enough in defence to settle for a 1-0 win.
  22. Great refereeing. I might be biased but that's good officiating.
  23. Watching this ref from the stands, his positioning is abysmal. Geniune nuisance in loose play.
  24. Then idk mate, could be the pitch, could be the physicality of Scottish football.
