Best headline on a thread this season by far, bravo! Exciting prospect too, and by all accounts a decent lad.

I read the article they published on their website last night, it was a baffling piece from the outside. having done the Founders Trail and really enjoyed it why any group would have an issue with them I don't know. There was no pushing of any website on the tour I took. The Chris Graham stuff just read like mentalism frankly. Why people choose to put stuff like that in the public realm defeats me.

I can assure you that not everyone in the Herald sports dept is anti-Rangers.

Dave King has reached a full and final settlement with the SA tax authorities

Bloody hell that link to RangersMedia is a real eye-opener! Is that 'Simplythebest' the same one that posts on here sometimes? That's some fucked up shit. -
They don't even try to hide it now, they'll self harm if they think we'll be harmed too. It's pitiful.
-
I hope to write a review of it this weekend, family and work (and Frankie!) allowing.

There's no way they weren't working on the Foster deal before June, they must have known before then he was likely, and if not him then someone else. I hadn't considered it might be simple corruption with someone somewhere making money out of this, you might well be onto something. I accept that not every promising player will make it, but in this day and age we should be able to see if a player has attitude problems long before they turn 21. I'm struggling to accept they only manifested themselves since Foster signed.
-
Okay. I've no unique insight into Cole or his particular issues. My beef is with the club. How can a player reach 21, not be a first team regular and end up getting sacked. Surely if he had stupidity issues they'd have been spotted before now, if not why not? Remember this is a player we gave a new contract to in June, he must have got really stupid really quickly! Someone at the club as recently as June thought he had a future with us. Somethings wrong with this picture.
-
The question is what can the club learn from this. It's fine and good blaming the player for his attitude but that doesn't help the club reclaim any of the thousands and thousands of pounds that were invested in his development. That's gone now, we might as well have burnt that money. Cole clearly had the ability to become a professional footballer, if the problems are in his head then it shouldn't be beyond the club to fix them. In the end if a player is simply not skilful enough there is nothing that can be done, he needs to drop down and find his level. But if it's an attitude problem, an application issue, surely we can address that? Cole is 21, he's not a child, he might be immature, 'daft' even, but he's no longer 16. Somewhere our system failed here, we'd do well to understand where and why and what we can do to improve it.

I can't decide if that's sarcasm or not. Big smelly piles of jobby is hardly gutter language, I'd admonish my 6 year old for it but on a website like this, really? Plus it was an apt metaphor.

EXCLUSIVE: Emilson Cribari rejects chance to quit Ibrox
amms replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
Yeah I'm far from convinced about the Tims genius in the transfer market. They had one of their own players playing against them in Champions League qualifying earlier, that takes a certain level of genius to achieve. -
Oh no, that won't do. You must demand transparency on this very important question. What if any of them are bigot nationalists and we don't know about it, imagine the brainwashing they could do on impressionable young supporters, it could swing the referendum. The horror.

As a matter of interest what are Brian Stockbridge's political beliefs, or Mather, or Ahmed or Green for that matter? I demand they state them publicly, the thought police should get onto this right away.

Oh I don't know about that Frankie, he turned a one time world renowned Scottish institution into an economic basket case, sounds like a Tory to me! That kind of work usually gets you a peerage.

Thanks, I liked the 'old man', I'd have been disappointed if it was him. When you say you are sceptical about 'the intentions behind the McColl group' what do you mean? Do you think they aren't who they say are, do you think they want to asset strip or use the club as a vehicle for some other device or don't you believe that better corporate governance is really what they seek? I'm puzzled because I don't know what the plans of the current board are for the club and they seem an untrustworthy and opportunist lot.

In a country full of statuesque blond woman a dark haired, Hispanic, middle-aged American man catches your eye. That's Rangers love my friend, hard to resist.

The McMurdo who writes this blog, is he the same McMurdo that was Mo Johnson's agent? What drives his infatuation with Stockbridge and Co, what's he seeing the rest of us are missing?

Yes, the return of Jack Irvine is just what the club needs. I wonder if he can play right back.

Yes, well, a look at our club over the last 10 years should give you an indication of how well they did that.

I've been very surprised at how high profile Irvine has become, it's not how he normally works. You'd almost think it was deliberate, that he was diverting attention from something else. Irvine and Media House specialise in crisis management and in keeping people out of the media. It's curious, he could just be fucking up, but it would surprise me.

I don't think many of the board ever gave it a second thought. We all have different priorities in life.

As I've always maintained whenever Media House were being criticised they are one of the best PR companies in the country, very well connected and professional. To judge how well a PR company do you must first see their brief and what they've been tasked with. The directors set the strategy and they execute it, ask the directors what they wanted them to do.
