Fashion JR away is mistake imo. Every second touch may be bad, but he gives us goal contributions. -

Sakala & Lammers have both had a good pre season & Roofe is still our most leathal striker (when fit) imo. Sakala - Lammers Roofe Hagi - Raskin - Jack Yilmaz - Balogun - Souttar - Sterling Butland -
Thanks BEARGER Loved that.

Seems very unlikely he never gave them instructions on the opponents. If memory serves one of the first guys he brought in was the video guy.
-
I'm happy with it 👍
-
Not too optimistic tbh. By the time we are firing on all cylinders we could be playing catch up, but I hope I'm wrong.
-
Lammers was easily our best player, and Butland looks like a good goalie. The system was bananas again for me. Too many of our players seem to be free to go where they want, leaving their team mates isolated. Hoffenheim were very good 1st half. The big 6 or 7 man substitution let us into the game imo.

As I said I hope I'm wrong and we win the league. A winning Rangers is what we all want.
-
Yes, I was thinking MB was a poor appointment from the off, and he's not convincing me I was wrong.
-
I think so. Either you Guys and Gals will end up agreeing, or we will win the league this year. I hope I'm wrong and we win the league.

If you smack 6-7 million quid on the table he might, but if you don't go after him you will defo not get him. Gallardo was just my thought, as I said to Weebluedevil it just has to be a finished article and not another experiment.
-
I like Marcelo Gallardo, but the rest of the Bluenoses will have their own ideas. The thread was just me suggesting that we go after a manager with serious intent to get a finished article and not settle for experiments. That way we can all get behind him and not be waiting for the wheels coming off.

Since the late Walter Smith last managed The Famous Glasgow Rangers a dozen years past now we have had to endure some experimental appointments (being kind) in the managers seat. MB with around a dozen games under his belt at QPR, Stevie G with none, Perdo Caixinha, well lest said about Perdo "The Bushman" Caixinha the better. Graeme Murty must have managed our great club for over six months over a couple of spells with no first team managment experience. Even club hero, Ally McCoist had no first team managment experience. There are of course others with more experience like Warburton, Giovanni van Bronckhorst or Stuart McCall, but none that were the sort of proven top managers I would expect to take up the role. If we were to take the type of money we spend on a player (5 - 7 million) and spend it on a manager I am sure we could attract someone more suitabe. I honestly think a top manager can have a better effect on a team than one more player. We are after all the greatest club in the world and deserve the best.

It has not been a joke for me since the trophyless season we endured last year. Not answering for a friend. -

That dive by Cantwell was embarrassing. The Gers were unorganised crap tonight, players & coaches. I get it was a friendly, but that aint good enough for me. That aint good enough for Rangers. -

Should go through against either of those sides. -

There are defo elements of this I agree with. After the recent debate on this forum over our supposed system I think it's fair to say there is some confusion over our style of play/system. Imo we are a little slack in terms of disipline, or maybe there are just to many players who are free to float for my taste. This must make covering much harder and leeds to slip ups, which we are prone to. -

I had a wee enforced lay off last season, but I really enjoyed being back at Ibrox today. Watching the UB's sing along with the Hamburg fans, and the "No Surrender, union flag" tifo was cool. As for the game, I thought a few Gers played well, with Souttar, Sakala, Dowell & Yilmaz standing out. I was also chuffed to see Lawrence & Roofe get some minutes. WATP
