There is one part of your comment I disagree with. We have 4 wins and two draws against PSV, that makes them the underdogs. MB has to earn his corn, G this team up, pick the right players and give them tactics that make best use of them, not hinder them.

It is a sad state of affairs, Hagi is miles better than Lammers and Roofe is still our best striker imo. Yet we know neither will start Tuesday.

My tupence worth. XG is a well designed way to describe what a players current capability is, or what his previous perfomance levels have been concerning taking chances. The problem with this is that "fans" see other aspects of players such as style and character and project that into our expectation or memory. That causes an uncomfortable difference between our opinion of a player and his XG.

After a wee look at the link it seems a great season (21/22) has catapulted them to fifth. Around eighth might be more their norm.
