Clement strikes me as a pragmatist so I was not surprised to see he used Dessers again today, who I thought was ok . After all wee Danilo did run his arse off against Aris the other night. Cantwell, McCausland, Sima, Lundstram & Lawrence were all much better in the second half, once the former stayed up behind the striker. Three points and on to Hearts midweek.

Agree @MacK1950 there have been loads of great midfielders who were not quick

I think that is not correct. Lewis Ferguson has 3 goal and 2 assists in serie A. There are loads of players with higher goal contributions.

"Every game is a must win at Rangers" This sentiment is flawed and has not served us well on our climb back up from the bottom teir. If not for this sentiment Super Ally my have gone a different route concerning youth versus experience. Was this the sentiment that drove our club to the terrible signings of Joey Barton, Aaron Ramsey, Carlos Pena & Eros Grezda. These signings and more were short term thinking with a single tilt at the title in mind, not long term domination. So do we contiue with this flawed thinking or do we support our club in the fight or long term domination. Just a thought.

I'm with Scott7. No to Cantwell, but the rest of that team would be fine by me. Team selection is six or half a dozen with most of this squad imo.

Although there have been some very well scribed posts on this thread the title says it all for me. We are years off having a decent squad. The manager and the next D.O.F will need time and backing to turn this shambles around.

I'm gutted too, but getting on the managers back is daft. 80% of this squad are bang average at best. Yes Lammers is Gladys, but are Cantwell or Lawrence much better. Yes Sima is Gladys, but is Matondo much better. Yes Davies is Gladys, but is Balogun much better. I could go on, but I think you get my point. We are asking Clement to paint a masterpiece with a shitey stick imo. He told us to expect this.
