  1. Don’t know where or when, buy why? https://mobile.twitter.com/cliwand/status/1112461240230727682/photo/1
  2. But that ain’t the problem. We fail against Aberdeen & Kilmarnock etc. because they sit in and defend hoping to get us on the break or from dead ball. Celtc play more attacking style which suits us more. We really need someone to unlock a packed defence, not easy to get or cheap.

On Sunday, Scott Brown showed just how not to mark a derby victory. The midfielder might relish his role as the pantomime villain whenever he steps on the park but the faux hard man act got old a long time ago. He has been around the game enough to know what kind of reaction his gestures and actions towards the Rangers fans would have as Neil Lennon’s side clinched a derby win that all-but secures eight-in-a-row. While Rangers were out of the top flight, and while they have struggled since they returned, Brown and his team-mates have swept all before them in Scotland. With no credible challenge from Ibrox, Celtic have racked up the medals with ease and Brown has been one of the main beneficiaries of the monopoly in our game. It is understandable that this derby win meant a lot to the Parkhead captain but the role and profile he has comes with a responsibility. And that means he shouldn’t be milking it in front of the away fans like he was within seconds of full-time. At 33 and as a veteran of these combustible Old Firm fixtures, Brown really should know better. Quite why his first thought was to try and wind up or antagonise 800 Gers supporters when there are 60,000 Celtic fans around the ground is beyond comprehension. The melee that marred the end of the game only happened because Brown wanted to taunt rather than celebrate. It was classless. Brown will have the last laugh when he lifts the title but it was no surprise to see Rangers respond like they did to an unnecessary celebration.

  10. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47691296 Manchester United have appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as permanent manager on a three-year contract. The Norwegian, 45, arrived at Old Trafford on an interim basis in December to replace Jose Mourinho. Solskjaer spent 11 seasons as a United player, scoring the winning goal in the 1999 Champions League final. "This is the job that I always dreamed of doing and I'm beyond excited to have the chance to lead the club long term," Solskjaer said. "From the first day I arrived, I felt at home at this special club. It was an honour to be a Manchester United player, and then to start my coaching career here. "The last few months have been a fantastic experience." When Solskjaer took charge, United were sixth in the Premier League and 11 points off the top four. But they have lost only once in 13 league games since - at Arsenal this month - and are now two points behind the London club, who occupy the final Champions League qualifying spot. Solskjaer is the first United manager to win his first six league games, beating a record held by Sir Matt Busby. United reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time since 2014, after they overturned a 2-0 first-leg deficit thanks to a stoppage-time penalty at Paris St-Germain this month.
  11. Club 1872 meeting with Police Scotland Dear Member, Ahead of the upcoming Old Firm match on 31st March, Club 1872 representatives met with Police Scotland and Rangers to discuss security and safety arrangements for Rangers supporters attending the game. Club 1872 communicated concerns over the requirement for Rangers supporters to enter the stadium prior to 11am. We also questioned the security arrangements for supporters leaving the stadium, following issues with Rangers supporters being attacked after exiting the game at Celtic Park earlier this season. Regarding the early entry, it was made clear that this was a decision made on safety grounds and was something Celtic had insisted upon. Other options were put forward and discussed by Police Scotland, Rangers and Celtic but were ruled out on safety grounds. Whilst we appreciate the inconvenience this causes to our travelling supporters, safety does take precedence and there are no grounds to challenge the decision that are likely to be successful, following issues with overcrowding at Celtic Park earlier in the season. Police Scotland have assured us that they have taken account of the problems Rangers supporters faced exiting Celtic Park following the Old Firm game there earlier this season and that alternative arrangements which are now in place should improve this. We will be meeting with Police Scotland again following the game so if our supporters do face similar, or other issues, these will be raised at that time. Club 1872
  12. Former Rangers director Imran Ahmad to sue police 50 minutes ago Share this with Facebook Share this with Messenger Share this with Twitter Share this with Email Share Image copyrightSNS Image captionImran Ahmad is a former commercial director of Rangers A former director of Rangers is suing the chief constable of Police Scotland and the Lord Advocate for wrongful prosecution, BBC Scotland has learned. The club's former commercial director Imran Ahmad was wanted in connection with fraud charges relating to the purchase of the club's assets in 2015. The charges were eventually dropped. A lawyer for Mr Ahmad, who now lives in Pakistan, confirmed to BBC Scotland that Mr Ahmad is now looking for damages of £2m. Damages claims The former Rangers chief executive Charles Green is also suing Police Scotland for wrongful arrest after his charges were also dropped. The club's former administrators, David Whitehouse and Paul Clark, are separately seeking damages of about £9m. Mr Ahmad's lawyer Eric Baijal told BBC Scotland: "We can confirm that Imran Ahmad has initiated legal proceedings against the chief constable of Police Scotland and the Lord Advocate in relation to what he argues was a wrongful prosecution brought against him. "Our client maintains he is entitled to significant damages as a result of the prosecution against him. "Our client understands that there are now five court actions raised against either Police Scotland and/or the Lord Advocate, arising from the investigation and prosecution. "As these proceedings are under way it would be inappropriate for our client to comment further at this time." Charges of fraud were also brought against the club's former owner, Craig Whyte, but he was cleared after trial at the High Court in Glasgow in 2017. A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "Police Scotland can confirm legal proceedings have been intimated. It would not be appropriate to comment further."
  13. Would the police and witness statements plus video footage and photos not be enough to convict? Any legal eagles on here?
  14. Getting similar problem that I had last November. Getting the pop up “ dear virgin media customer - congratulations” every time I go into the Lounge, only the Lounge. Will please some I know?
  15. Simple solution, don’t take tickets.
  16. Not happy or unhappy. As has been said it would be better if Club1872 had organised it, but the weather was awful today.
  17. There's around 30 people here. What an embarrassment. Not my quote but from someone at demo.
  18. “A couple of marquee players”?. Wonder who they could be?
  19. Could this be the end of the UB as a part of the match day experience? The club have no reason to discuss this matter any further with them. It seems the club have decided we don’t need the expense of safe standing or wish to move ST holders to accommodate the UB. Or it could be the club are using these factors to silence them regarding certain songs/words ? The longer the UB stay in the huff, the less they will be missed.
