I posted last week about this and of course was told “I did not hear anything”. Only one poster backed up what I said. I’ll repeat it, there are some in our support who don't care what damage they do. The club are to blame for putting up with FTP and the Vatican etc. And we all know who starts these songs, wee clue they sit in Broomloan Front nearest main stand. Just seen statement from club, very very poor. They have allowed this to happen. That section should have been given a final warning weeks ago and shut down after last week.

Ok maybe the word is not lackadaisical, but Tom Miller mentioned the fact he let the ball bounce rather than head clear.

Goldson is a worry for me. He seems to be a favourite of SG but too lackadaisical at times.

Scot Gemmill has named Robby McCrorie, Kieran Wright, Ross McCrorie, Stephen Kelly and Glenn Middleton for the two upcoming games against San Marino and Croatia. The Under-21’s will open their campaign against San Marino on Thursday, September 5 at the Simple Digital Arena in Paisley with a 7.30pm kick off before travelling to take on Croatia on Tuesday, September 10.

THE NEW format for the City of Glasgow Cup has been revealed. The Glasgow Football Association has announced the revamped look to the competition, which has been in existence since 1887. This makes the trophy the second oldest in world football and matches will begin tomorrow night on Tuesday August 20. In the new format, Clyde will return to join fellow Glasgow FA members Partick Thistle, Queen's Park, Celtic Colts and Rangers Colts in this year's competition. Instead of a straight knock-out, the tournament will be played on a league basis, with each team meeting each of its opponents twice, home and away. This will give each team a total of eight games during the campaign, which has been designed to increase the competitive edge to the tournament The final will be contested by the two top teams in the group stage, taking place in April 2020. Celtic and Rangers Colt teams have to play a maximum of two players over 21-year-old in every match. Meanwhile two trialists will be allowed for each side in each game. In recent years the competition has been played at U17 and U20 level with this year seeing the return of first-teams Clyde, Partick Thistle and Queen's Park The Glasgow FA say the main objectives of the tournament are to allow clubs to positively impact their local communities, encourage school children to embrace health and fitness and to provide aspiring young players a platform to develop their skills. As a winger, being able to lean on the likes of Raheem Sterling for advice was invaluable. The only problem was, with Sterling ahead of him in the pecking order at the Etihad, he was unlikely to ever make the breakthrough into Pep Guardiola’s first team.Barker took the positives from the situation though, speaking to Sterling regularly and picking up pointers along the way, and he says that the England man was fully behind his decision to finally make the break from City and find a new home at Ibrox.“I learned a lot from Raheem,” Barker said. “Watching him grow from when he first came to what he’s doing now. We used to speak a lot and he was really encouraging.“Watching him now becoming a great player in the world is great to see.“The best advice [he gave me] was just to be yourself and never be afraid. I think that’s how I play. It doesn’t matter who I’m playing, I don’t have any fear, and hopefully I can show the fans what I’m all about.“It was my time to move on now and I think all the boys knew that. It was sad because I’d been there 16 years and I grew up at City from a being a little baby. But I needed a new home, I’d needed one for the last two seasons.
