  1. Agree with most of that. SG has made mistakes in all the games we have not won: 1. Team selection & tactics against them. 2. Tactics against YB when we should have taken the point by shutting up shop not going for the winner at 90 minutes, not using subs to kill time etc. 3. Last night, can anyone explain the subs? Stewart scores 2 on Sunday but Ojo gets on before him & Defoe. Katic for Kent?
  2. I voted for Aribo as he was less worse than rest. But it’s close.
  3. https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/two-changes-at-pittodrie/ Wednesday, 04 December 2019, 18:35 by Nick Thomson STEVEN GERRARD has named two changes to his side for tonight’s Scottish Premiership clash with Aberdeen at Pittodrie. From the team which thrashed Hearts 5-0 at Ibrox on Sunday, out go Borna Barisic and Glen Kamara, with their places in the XI taken by Jon Flanagan and Ryan Jack. That means the back five tonight is made up of Allan McGregor in goals, captain James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Filip Helander and Flanagan. Jack is joined in midfield by Scott Arfield and Steven Davis, while up-front, Joe Aribo and Ryan Kent will support Alfredo Morelos. Kamara is on the bench tonight, and also there Wes Foderingham, Nikola Katic, Andy Halliday, Sheyi Ojo, Greg Stewart and Jermain Defoe. It’s a 7.45pm kick-off here in the Granite City – join Tom Miller and Andy Little on RangersTV for full coverage if you’re outside the UK. RANGERS: McGregor; Tavernier, Goldson, Helander, Flanagan; Arfield, Davis, Jack; Aribo, Morelos, Kent. SUBS: Foderingham, Katic, Halliday, Ojo, Stewart, Defoe, Kamara
  4. Been returned to holder.
  5. A Rangers spokesman said: “We are in the process of banning the individuals responsible for displaying an offensive banner while en route to Holland last week and if those responsible for the flares can be identified, they will also be banned.” The people responsible have already publicly taken “credit” for the flares. Once again the club ducking its responsibly.

What’s happened with this guy? Nowhere near the squad lately in a hard run of fixtures. Is he one that SG has been talking about offloading in January?
  7. https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/rangers-partner-with-dcp-capital/ 2019, 13:00 by Rangers Football Club 1765 RANGERS are delighted to announce DCP Capital as the new Principal and Front-of-Shirt Partner of the club’s Women’s team. This new partnership sees DCP Capital become the first ever Principal Partner for the Women’s team from the start of the 2020 season, which begins in February. This is yet another landmark step for Rangers who recently announced the intention to turn the Women’s team professional for the 2019 season, following structural changes that allowed the first team and academy to be fully integrated within the club’s football department. Amy McDonald, Rangers Women’s and Girl’s Football Manager said: “We are delighted to welcome DCP Capital as our first Principal Partner ahead of what will be a very exciting season for the club. “This partnership will continue to develop the programme both on and off the pitch and will play an important part in allowing us to empower the players and staff within our elite football environment.” DCP Capital is an international private equity firm with offices in Beijing, New York and Hong Kong that focuses on opportunities in Asia. The leadership team of DCP Capital has been investing in the Greater China region since 1993 and has led a number of successful and innovative investments and nurtured numerous industry leaders over the past 26 years. Rangers Director Julian Wolhardt, who is also Chief Executive Officer of DCP Capital, is the driving force behind the new partnership. Julian Wolhardt said: “DCP Capital are delighted to become the new Principal Partner of the Rangers Women’s team at this very exciting time for women’s football internationally and at the club. “We are proud supporters of the work that Amy McDonald and all of her team are doing for our players and wish them good luck for the season ahead.” James Bisgrove, Rangers Director of Commercial and Marketing, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome DCP Capital to the club’s stable of Official Partners and to launch this landmark partnership at a time where the profile, audience and commercial interest in the Women’s game is experiencing unprecedented growth. Rangers finished the 2019 season in the fourth position in the Scottish Building Society Scottish Women’s Premier League, playing at the new stand at the Hummel Training Centre. Rangers are also committed to the longer-term future of the women’s game in the country, with the club making it easier for players at all age levels of the academy to play and train. As well as recruiting new players, the number of full-time staff members will also increase ahead of the 2020 season, which will yet again improve professionalism both on and off the pitch. https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/rangers-partner-with-dcp-capital/ For more information on Commercial Partnerships please email commercial@rangers.co.uk

  10. Steven Gerrard was unusually reticent when asked the other day whether he now has a first choice starting eleven. The Rangers manager will see his side host Hearts today before a trip to Aberdeen on Wednesday. And, inevitably, his team selections will be pored over for possible pointers to the line-up Gerrard will field against Celtic in next Sunday’s League Cup final. It was put to the Ibrox manager that two or three players could use the next two games to “grab spots” in the team for the Hampden decider.“I don’t think there’s three,” Gerrard said with a knowing smile. “At times, I’ve thought I knew my best eleven. But things change in football, sometimes people grasp an opportunity. Players surprise you and then others don’t take their chance by not doing themselves justice. So there’s a bit of that going on in one or two situations within the team. What I would say is a lot of players are very consistent at the moment which means I’m finding it hard to get certain people in. So work that out. You’ve always got places to lose at a club the size of Rangers. The players have to grab a shirt. If you’re complacent at Rangers, there will always be someone ready to step in. I’m not going to just forget someone off the back of a bad performance, a mistake or a little barren spell. Everyone is human. I have to remember what people have given me over the course of 18 months. But the eleven is certainly not set for between now and the end of the season.”At one stage last season it would have seemed inconceivable that a place would not be found for Scott Arfield in the Rangers starting line-up. He is now struggling to make an impact although the midfielder’s issues haven’t entirely been in his professional domain.“In terms of form, Scott will be the first to admit that he’s maybe not hit the heights of last season,” said Gerrard. “But he set such high standards last year, certainly towards the end of the campaign when he was on fire. He was in the zone. Scott is one that we trust. We’ll stay with him and keep believing that he’ll get back to his best form. He’s had a situation off the field rumbling on, that he’s had for a few weeks and is his private business. That’s up to him whether he divulges that or not. He’s had a tough few weeks. But he’s one that’s still very much part of our plans and I really appreciate what he’s given us since he came through the door, on and off the pitch. We won’t turn him away, for sure. “Fans don’t see that kind of thing and I don’t want to divulge too much of his private business. But it’s my responsibility to protect Scott. That’s what I try to do when sometimes a player has a situation where they’re not themselves. But what I’ll say about Scott Arfield is that he’s always there for you. Maybe other people might have stayed away from the place so fair play to him, he’s some man.” https://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/18071146.steven-gerrard-vows-support-rangers-midfielder-scott-arfield-deals-off-field-issue/ https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/steven-gerrard-defends-rangers-star-20996653
  11. Glasgow Rangers midfielder Jordan Rossiter’s season appears to be over as he’s suffered an injury whilst on loan with Fleetwood Town, as reported by their official website.Rossiter has impressed during his time with the Cod Army, with manager Joey Barton going as far as to name him their player of the year so far. He came off after 76 minutes of a recent League One game with a knee injury, which scans have now revealed will put him out for the season. With his Ibrox contract expiring at the end of this campaign, it’s a double blow for the youngster.“It’s tough for Jordan and it looks like he could be out for the remainder of the season,” said Barton.“He’s going to be out for a prolonged period and it’s a big blow for the team and for our group. Mentally he’s in a great place because he’s got a lot of people around him that care about him, and we’ll do everything to get him back where he belongs, which is back playing good football for us.“I think if you stopped the season now and asked the fans who their player of the year has been, you have to put Jordan in that space because he’s been that effective for us.”Rossiter has appeared 15 times for the League One promotion hopefuls, having previously enjoyed a loan spell with Bury. He began his career with Liverpool, moving to Ibrox in 2016. He’s been capped by England to Under 19 level, the last of his honours coming in 2016.
  12. Can you explain what the display was? Abroad at moment and did not notice anything during game, obviously before kick off I presume?
  13. What does he actually do for this? How has he the time to be our manager at the same time?

  15. There will be further incidents, not necessary at the cup final but it will happen again. The people to blame are the club board who could have stamped out this nonsense long ago but prefer for some reason to have cosy chats with those responsible.
  16. Some people are more interested in attacking political opponents than they are in seeking justice for the victims.
