  1. RANGERS are delighted to announce a new partnership with Dundonald Links, one of Scotland’s premier Golfing venues. Dundonald Links will play host to the Rangers Annual Golf Day on Monday 10 October 2022, which will feature a number of Gers heroes. Situated along the picturesque coast of Ayrshire, Dundonald Links is the ultimate place to stay, play golf and dine in Scotland. The club’s Par 72 course offers a classic links golf experience and has hosted several professional and amateur golfing events throughout the years. Rangers’ Commercial and Marketing Director, James Bisgrove, commented: "We are thrilled to partner with Dundonald Links Golf Resort, which has established itself as one of Scotland’s most prominent golfing destinations in recent years. "At Rangers, we strive to associate ourselves with best in class and liked minded partners, and with the incredible course and new facilities at Dundonald, we believe the partnership fulfils this ambition “We look forward to collaborating closely with the Dundonald Links team in the years ahead, and are excited to launch our first Annual Rangers Golf Day at the venue on the 10th of October." General Manager of Dundonald Links, Ian Ferguson, added: "We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Rangers FC, which felt like a very natural one for Dundonald Links given how passionate we both are about our respective sports and creating legacy within them. We look forward to welcoming the club and their partners to Dundonald Links to enjoy some of the very best facilities in Scotland. 2. Received the survey from club. It is not specific to the Napoli game as indicated, or am I reading it incorrectly?
  3. CL - no points and possibly no goals. SPL - 2nd. Cups - none.
  4. Being reported that there was trouble from UB when Napoli players were warming down after game. Twitterland showing bits and pieces.
  5. SOME Rangers shareholders remain interested in a controversial bid to part-own the club that is being fronted by an American businesswoman. That's according to former chairman Paul Murray, in court documents seen by The Sunday Herald. Mr Murray has been assisting Kyle Fox's company, KRF Capital, who Rangers are suing over what they allege is a secret plot to try and sell the club. Mr Murray and Ms Fox are said to have been working with ex-English FA executive Adrian Bevington in their attempt to acquire a stake in the Glasgow giants. The Ibrox club is seeking compensation for damage to its “business relationships, goodwill and reputation”, claiming she used their official crest and logos to attempt to lure investors without permission from the club. Ms Fox however has accused Gers' "all-male board" of "unfair and baseless bullying tactics", which have deprived the club of much-needed investment. An offer to acquire a minimum of 25 per cent in the club was followed by a bid to buy 75 per cent at 25p per share, which valued the club at £108 million. Both were put to current deputy chairman John Bennett before being turned down by the board. Ms Fox also proposed buying 75 per cent of the club's shares as well as investing £50 million in Rangers over the next five years. The offer and a subsequent higher offer of 40p per share and £75 million in cash investment. This was also rejected in late July by the club, with court documents revealing Rangers said: “Discussions with KRF Capital have concluded.” Mr Murray has said however that certain shareholders ARE still interested in flogging their shares, despite the ongoing legal action. He said: "At that time, I was in discussions on Ms Fox's behalf with certain large Rangers shareholders who were interested, in principle, in selling their shares at her offered price of 40p which would have given Ms Fox a plurality ownership of Rangers. These shareholders remain interested in Ms Fox's proposal." Despite owning no part of the club, Ms Fox issued a plea to would-be investors for cash after her bid was turned down and this prompted Ibrox chiefs to call in their lawyers. Rangers’ claim says: “The Investor Deck contains Rangers’ branding and trademarked proprietary material — intellectual property that KRF Capital was never authorised to use.” Lawyers for the club say the emailed document also used many Rangers “brand assets”, including crests and photos of players. Their claim continues: “Defendant created this Investor Deck with the intent to trick any reader into thinking that: (1) Rangers is for sale; (2) Rangers is working with KRF Capital to sell a controlling stake in the enterprise; and (3) Rangers authorised this offer and presentation. “KRF Capital has been meeting with, and presenting to, Rangers’ corporate clients on the purported basis that the sale of equity in Rangers has been endorsed by the club’s board of directors. This is false. Rangers has not given KRF Capital authorisation to meet with its corporate clients or anyone else for that matter.” But Ms Fox now says Rangers are missing out on vital investment and accused the "all-male board" of "unfair and baseless bullying tactics".
  6. I would like to think so. But we do know that Tav has been carrying an injury for the last two games. Could be that he made light of it and/or insisted on playing I suppose.
  7. Change the captain? More like change the manager. We now have proof that Tavernier has been playing while carrying an injury, piss poor management. Tav will now be out for weeks? We also had the suspicion that Morelos was played while unfit last season, and look what happened there.
  8. DAVE KING has called for greater boardroom transparency at Ibrox as he raised several concerns over the running of Rangers and the direction of the club on and off the park. The former chairman penned an open letter to Douglas Park and his directors on Thursday as the under-fire Rangers hierarchy - still reeling from the successive four goal defeats to Celtic and Ajax - were put under the spotlight once again. Supporters have become increasingly disillusioned with the way the club is operating at present and King has now questioned: • When the board decided to ‘change its commitment to supporters to reinvest the proceeds of player trading back into the squad and why was this not openly communicated to supporters?’ • What has happened to the funds banked by the run to the Europa League final last term and whether the ‘focus has moved onto competing in the financially lucrative European competitions as a pure profit motive rather than as a means to improve the squad?’ • The relationship between the board and fan organisations and why Park is ‘so against the transfer of my shares into the control of supporters via Club 1872?’ • If Rangers are for sale ‘if the price is right’ following an approach by American businesswoman Kyle Fox amid suggestions, which Rangers have refuted and have launched legal action over, that a share deal and £75million worth of investment was on the table. King voiced his concern over Rangers’ transfer strategy and their role in the cinch sponsorship fiasco last week and has since seen Van Bronckhorst’s side suffer humiliating defeats in the Premiership and Champions League as the Dutchman has been left fighting for his job at Ibrox. Supporters have been critical of areas such as communications, ticketing and the merchandise arrangement with Castore in recent months and were successful in forcing the board to pull out of the controversial Sydney Super Cup trip that was scheduled for November. King said: “I have been closely following the Club’s activities on and off the pitch and as a supporter (and still largest shareholder) I have become increasingly alarmed about what I am witnessing. “Being a director of Rangers is a privilege that comes with an individual and collective responsibility that appears to have been absent from decision making for some time now. “There is a shroud of secrecy around what is happening within the Club and the lack of meaningful engagement with supporters and shareholders, who are entitled to a greater degree of respect, is completely unacceptable. “The Club is being run like a private concern with supporters being increasingly treated as customers rather than people who give their hearts, souls and hard-earned money to Rangers. “Rangers fans know only too well the pain and suffering that can come from a lack of scrutiny over those entrusted to protect our Club. “This is why I am forced to speak out at this time by sending an open letter to the Board and by asking for future transparency, honesty and respect for all supporters and shareholders.”
  9. You would think so after this performance. He may get the weekend but anything but a good win at Aberdeen and he should go.
  10. Tavernier off King on along with Matondo for Wright. Jack also on for Tillman.
  11. Ibrox Tifo Project Poll Result Dear Contributor, Club 1872 is delighted to announce that Contributors have voted 90% in favour of our latest Projects CIC proposal. The project is to help fund stadium Tifos by the Union Bears, which will begin with our first home game of this season’s Champions League versus Napoli at Ibrox on the 13th September. The Union Bears have created a number of spectacular stadium displays in the past and we are proud to be supporting them in creating another Tifo as part of Rangers' historic return to the Champions League this season. Club 1872 Projects CIC will now donate £7500 to the Union Bears. This is the estimated cost of the Champions League Tifo and the group will use any excess to help part fund future displays. We look forward to seeing what we are sure will be an amazing display. Club 1872
  12. Thomas Tuchel is available😉
  13. League bosses moved to cut Rangers out of the vote on a new £30million a year TV deal - after the Ibrox club demanded cash and an apology before giving it their approval. The proposal to extend a contract with broadcast giants Sky until 2029 was effectively torpedoed on Sunday night when Rangers refused to give it their backing. And Record Sport understands the Rangers hierarchy are refusing to support the revamped agreement until the SPFL say sorry for a previous bitter dispute over league sponsors Cinch AND agree to pick up the legal tabs on behalf of both the club and chairman Douglas Park. League chief executive Neil Doncaster needed all 12 top flight clubs to sign a waiver agreeing to let Sky’s cameras into their home grounds for one extra game a season. But while the other 11 signed up for a slice of the extra cash ahead of Sunday’s deadline, Rangers stood their ground and left the deal hanging in the balance. Yesterday, Doncaster attempted to circumnavigate that blockage by sending out a new ‘commercial resolution’ to clubs which requires the support of only 11 top flight clubs for it to be pushed through. It must also receive the blessing of at least six clubs from the Championship and a combined total of 32 clubs from across all four divisions. The clubs have until next Tuesday to register their votes but the league are confident the resolution will carry the support of the vast majority. Sky want to beef up their coverage of the Scottish top flight by increasing their live match package from 48 games to 60 games from season 2024/25 - and are willing to increase their annual payments from £24m to £30m by season 2028/29. And one source close to the stand off told Record Sport last night Rangers have said they would be happy for that deal to be signed off. The source said: “They have actually said that they will vote for the Sky extension but only after they have received an apology from the SPFL and get their legal fees paid along with those of Douglas Park. “That’s what’s caused this problem and why there was no alternative for the league other than to issue a new resolution which can be carried by an 11-1 majority.” A second resolution was also put forward yesterday which, if pushed through, would enable all clubs to sell an additional five pay-per-view matches per season from their home grounds. Record Sport contacted Rangers for comment.
  14. Was thinking the same, we will see.
  15. Copied from Four Lads had a Dream Twitter posts. 13 away league games in 2022 calendar year 6 wins, 5 draws, 2 defeats. 46% win rate 22 for 19 against (clean sheets 2) Of those 13, good performances? St Mirren, Motherwell & Hearts (last game of season) If people are asking on GVB, this is why and it’s indefensible. The draws - Aberdeen 1-1, Ross County 3-3, Dundee Utd 1-1, Celtic 1-1, Hibs 2-2 Wins - 0-1 St Johnstone, 0-4 St Mirren, 1-2 Dundee, 1-3 Hearts, Motherwell 1-3, 1-2 Livi. Defeats - 3-0 & 4-0 to Celtic
  16. Did not know that. How is our spend/turnover against Celtic over the last 18 months? Yes it is imo, hope you’re correct. Agreed.
  17. GvB seems able to get tactics/selection & subs correct in Europe but seems incapable of doing so in the domestic games. As soon as the team was announced with 3 defensive midfielders yesterday, we all knew the plan was to sit in and invite Celtic on to us. It was embarrassing. Gio and his staff are responsible for yesterday’s shambles along with the board who did not come up with sufficient funds to strengthen the team. The league is gone for this season already, we know there’s more turgid games ahead where we will drop more points. Will the board act sooner rather than later?
  18. I fear the worst in Europe, we are in CL not EL. Big difference in class.
  19. That horror pass from McLaughlin was coming, been close for a few games this season.
